Chapter 437: Snow Queen Part IV
Chapter 437: Snow Queen Part IV
“That’s more than I even know about myself, he’s your friend?” She turned to ask Shin.
“Yeah, friend in my real life and friend from the same guild,” Shin answered briefly.
Snow curled up a smile right away. She stared at Manoch, getting interested in the one whom Shin accepted as a friend so surely. Most of the time, this quiet man barely knew how to socialize. So, unless his friend was a very friendly person, there was no way they could befriend this man.
“Anyway, yeah, that’s me. My name is just Snow, actually. Other people just made up the name Queen for me, because of the color of my hair I suppose. But it sounds fit to me, so I don’t mind that.”
After speaking, she gave Manoch a sweet smile again.
“Then what people talk about is true,” Manoch yelled.
“Yeah, the most famous weapon maker people talk about is me. Why? You’re disappointed to find out that person is a woman, boy?” Snow’s smile looked splendid.
“No, not at all!” The glasses man shouted, making her pause. “My friend in the guild who is a weapon maker as well, always raves on stories about you. He’s a huge fan of yours, Miss Snow. And he’s going to be dead jealous if he finds out that I’m here talking to you in person like this.”
Hearing that, Snow curled up a smile, chuckling.
“That’s an overstatement. I’m just a crafter who travels around. My rank on the weapon maker list is not even one of the 100. Then what’s so interesting about me, hm?”
“No, it’s not.” Manoch waved his hand in denial. “If judging from the items, you’re number one, Miss Snow. Those crafters on the ranks just rushed their items out to compete in quantity only, but they didn’t care to make it one of the greatest ones. So, even if there’re only a few of your works coming out in a year, to compare them piece by piece, yours are the most outstanding ones.”
Snow scratched the nape of her neck. She pulled the Tobacco out of her mouth and took a slight sip of the booze from the small glass.
“You’re flattering me now, boy. If you complimented me so hard like this, would you like to have my autograph, too?”
“Can I?!” Manoch shouted. “If I give your autograph to my friend, that guy’s totally crazy, you know.”
Right after he spoke, Manoch hurriedly opened his inventory window to find a piece of cardboard in there, making the ones who were looking at him like Shin and Snow stunned for a moment.
After that, the hoarse girl burst into laughter!
“HAHAHAHAHA, you’re so weird. What’s your name?” She asked.
“It’s Manoch, Miss.”
“Yeah, yeah, right, Manoch it is.” She reached her hand to smack the glasses man’s shoulder harshly. “I like a person like you, so real. But an autograph on paper is nonsense, man. Let me give you my ‘signature’ instead. It’s a rare item, just so you know.”
“Really?! Oh, thank you so much, Miss Snow.”
“Hey, just drop that formal title already. Just call me Snow.” She said and glanced at the bartender on the other side of the counter. “Uncle, may I have a Tequila for this boy? On me.”
“Uh, you don’t have to, Miss Snow. Drinks at a casino are very expensive.”
“Hey, refusing to accept a treat from a friend will be considered as the act of an enemy, you know.”
The stout woman pointed in his direction with a satisfied smile. Then she instantly tilted her head to make the bartender pour that Tequila for the glasses man, while the one who just got a new best friend without realizing was still smiling widely like that.
Maybe he was like that because of the promise that she would give him her ‘signature.’ This kind of item was like a business card of every crafter in the Pride world. It was rare to have an item with a logo of the crafter on it, especially if it was one made by Snow Queen, the legendary weapon maker. That would be very dope to own that item!!
“Well, today is a fantastic day, like damn,” Snow shouted. “I got to see an old friend, got to know a new one, and I made 20 million out of my business. Damn, the booze tastes very sweet today.”
She held her glass in front of Manoch, getting the glasses guy to hold his Tequila up to cheer with her softly and poured the alcohol in it into his mouth in one go, even though that would make his entire body hot!
Meanwhile, Snow seemed to be enjoying herself because she kept bursting out her loud laugh.
“Hey, Snow, I don’t mean to interrupt,” Shin said in a calm voice. “But I don’t have much time. It’ll be genuinely nice if you start repairing my Four Seasons as soon as possible.”
“Come on, don’t ruin the mood yet, Shin.”
The woman did not care. She was just looking at Manoch with a cheerful smile.
“Hey there, do you want another round, Manoch?” She asked.
“No, thank you. Tequila is too strong for me.”
“BWAHAHAHA, what’s this? You’re so funny.”
Snow slapped her lap with satisfaction and proceeded to drink her refilled Tequila all in one go. The woman let out a long breath as her face grew slightly red.
“I’m serious, Snow. I only have 5 days. You probably caught up about the war, so you know that I can’t just waste time here messing around for so long.”
“Shin, Shin, Shin, you’re always the type that takes everything too seriously.”
The hoarse woman waved her hand around, before placing her empty glass on the counter for the bartender to make her another one. At this rate, Manoch did not say anything anymore, because Shin had proceeded to get them to the point now.
And seeing how Snow was acting right now, he realized instantly that,
She started to act like a pain in the ass, exactly like how Shin told him.
“But I don’t want 5 days. I can just sit down and finish repairing it on day 5, boy. The problem is whether I will be in the mood for that or not. You know that I can only focus on finishing a few items in one year, right?”
She said with a soft smile. She turned her face away to the counter bar and took a sip of her Tequila again.
“If you want to mess around, can you put it off for later, Snow?” Shin said. His voice sounded stiffened up clearly.
“The hell am I messing around with?” The irritating one shrugged, acting like she did not know. “Also, since when did I agree to repair the item for you? I just told you that it was reparable, never said that I would.”
“Snow,” Shin said, his voice deepened like he tried to press down the frustration in his tone.
“You sure call my name often. You fear you will forget it or something? Come on, having a drink with me for an hour doesn’t hurt, right, Manoch?”
“Huh, ...uh, yes.”
The one who got dragged in between them made an awkward face. Shin glanced over his shoulder at his friend and let out a long sigh. Then he turned to look at the woman again before he noticed those indigo-blue eyes were sparkling clearly.
Yeah, she was totally messing around!
Pain in the ass!
