Chapter 431: City of the Night “Lutier” Part IV
Chapter 431: City of the Night “Lutier” Part IV
“Papa, papa, papa, look, I did it!”
Suddenly, a small voice rang out with excitement. He turned his face back to look in its direction to find his little girl sitting on the floor with a black flame blazing up around her hand with the heat that made Wisana flinch back right away.
“You can summon fire magic out already? That’s my girl.” Wisana beamed his smile. “I just gave you a little guide and you can do it this excellently?”
“Easy-peasy.”
Mona Lisa said in a delighted voice, before waving her hand to die out the flame in the blink of an eye.
“Then should you try summoning ice magic next?” The papa asked.
“Eh, but ice magic is hard to do. And I’m a fire dragon, you know.” The little girl whined.
“Well, because you’re a fire dragon, that’s why you have to practice summoning ice magic, too. If you’ve got papa’s abilities in you, too, you should be able to summon every magic just like I do. So, can you try that?”
“But it’s hard.” The little girl pouted slightly.
Seeing that, the papa cracked into a laugh, before holding his index finger up.
“How about this, if you can summon ice magic, I’ll give you a present. That sounds good?”
“Really?!” the girl smiled widely.
“Yes, honey.”
“Good. I’m going to do it!”
The little Mona Lisa said, before hurriedly putting her palms together as she focused on summoning ice magic with a serious face. Seeing that, Wisana only smiled amusedly to himself.
It had been only 10 days, and Mona Lisa grew up very quickly.
At first, she was barely able to walk, but she could even run now. She started talking more and could cast some spells, too. Apart from that, she had to put her strength into fighting when Wisana gave her some small combat training.
The father seemed to be pleased about how his daughter was growing so well. But well, Mona Lisa would grow up even faster and become his main damage in a battle, if she could go out there and fight more.
But that could be only an idea...
Because right now, they, Nemesis, had to keep on hiding like this. Maysa even grounded him all the time. So, it was impossible for him to go out and kick something as he taught things to his daughter.
After the thought, Wisana took something out of his inventory window...
It was something he had kept with him for a while but had not got a chance to have Manoch check its abilities out yet. It was a silver ring with a flying dragon carved around it, a strange item he remembered well that he got from cutting off the tail of the black dragon Sarquros, or to be more specific, the birth mother of little Mo.
Wisana smiled amusedly, his eyes shifting between his daughter and the ring in his hand,
That probably was the last monster he fought with.
Ever since, he did not feel the thrill of battle at all. That black dragon mom was extraordinarily strong though, probably as strong, or stronger than Sven of Cataral guild, even.
He wondered what that dragon was doing right now.
But he was sure that no one would ever go to hunt her. Even he got beat up so bad that he had to run in a headlong rush back.
Thinking about it, Wisana laughed in his throat.
But after that, the man huffed out a bored breath again, because it was 16 days now. It had been 16 days that he stuck with Alexander, wasting his breath day after day.
And damn, when there was no trouble finding him, his life had become so boring!
“Boss.”
Soon after that, the living room door swung open again before Warunya walked in. She gave him a sweet smile when the man turned to look at her.
“What’s up?” Wisana asked.
“Nam just contacted back to say that the party had arrived in Lutier already. Captain sent me to report this to you.”
“There’s no trouble there, right? They’re safe, aren’t they?” Wisana continued.
“Yes, they are. Thanks to Ae’s gender-switching pills.”
Seeing her sweet smile with her confirmation, Wisana sighed in relief. Meanwhile, Warunya turned her smile to the little Mona Lisa, who returned a smile at her. It was clear that this little one had been more familiar with her father’s friends now.
“What are you up to, little Mo?” Warunya asked.
“Practicing magic summoning!” She answered diligently.
“I see. Is it hard? Do you need any help with that?”
“It’s okay. I want to do it myself. Papa said that I should try my best first. If I still fail, then I ask for the other’s help.”
“Is that so?”
Warunya smiled with endearment, before looking up to catch Wisana’s eyes. The man curled the corner of his mouth up in a smile, shrugging.
“How’s May doing?” Wisana asked.
“Captain is quite busy right now. She’s on the ship’s bridge collecting news about the war to plan our next move.” She said and then held her hand up when she realized something. “Right, Boss, have you heard about the war yet?”
“What about it?” The listener raised his eyebrows.
“Pandora guild started making a move now. One of their forces is travelling out of the south. Also, Cataral’s forces are moving down from the north, too.”
“They’re making moves already? Why?” Wisana asked.
Warunya sighed briefly at the question.
“I’m not sure either, but I think that both guilds are probably aiming for the holy crystal that’s owned by the William Star guild. And it’s like they read each other’s mind to lead their forces out at the same time like this.”
Wisana made an ‘oh.’ sound out of his throat, before smiling broadly.
“Get it, big fish eat up little, huh?” He said, shaking his head amusedly. “Seems like William is going to face some tough battle, doesn’t it? May’s plan’s such a pain in the ass. She knew if a noob like him held one of the crystals, those major guilds would come after him for the crystal first. And we will be out of their attention for a while, which is a total benefit.”
“That’s right.”
Warunya was laughing amusedly, too, because she had no idea how the William Stars would survive two armies of the two gods.
“But this can be another benefit for us, too, you know,” Wisana spoke in a delighted voice.
“How so?”
“I thought one of the gods that would go out to eat our bait would be Marcus. But it turned out to be Sven and Lavi instead." He said, smiling cunningly. “In my opinion, these two are the scariest, and if the two started fighting each other to death, it’s us, who will get the benefit from this.”
Hearing that, Warunya fell silent instantly. Her smile faded away because the name ‘Lavi’ that Wisana said made some feelings grow in her.
“But well, those two are very smart. Just taking a crystal from a noob, they wouldn’t have to let themselves hurt that much, especially Lavi. I really hope that he’ll still be in one piece when we meet again. I want to fight this guy the most, you know. He seems to be so good, do you think so, Orn?”
