Chapter 430: City of the Night “Lutier” Part III

“I apologize for my friend causing you all trouble like this. But don’t worry. I’m going to take care of her from here.”

After speaking, she pulled Shin close to her strong chest. Waree intended to pull his slim body into her embrace quickly. And that made him confused about what mood this woman was actually in right now.

“Hold up, dude. We’re not done talking to her yet.”

And of course, the flirty man would not like it if the girl who he was currently flirting with was pulled away from him. That would feel like taking a chewing bone out of the dog’s mouth. No one would ever like that feeling.

“Oi, who are you? I’m still talking to this girl. Don’t think you have the right to do that just because you are friends with her, you know!”

“Dude, you think you can do whatever you want just because you’ve got a kind of good-looking face?”

“Jerk, you’re just a friend and be bold to cockblock her?!”

These words made Waree’s tall body freeze instantly. She was grinding her teeth for a moment as her hand was still grabbing around the tiny wrist tightly.

“Cockblock?” She whispered, before turning to glare at these men. “Of course, I’m freaking cockblocking. This girl is mine, so stop messing around with her already!”

She pulled Shin away right after speaking, while her girl was gasping speechlessly. Of course, those men were, too, gasping for air, not knowing what to say with that, because the pretty girl did not say a word to object to the brown-haired man’s statement at all. After that, there came the muttering of complaints...

“What the hell, why didn’t she say anything if she already has a boyfriend!” one of the men shouted aloud.

“Damn, the world is not fair. That guy’s good-looking and got a pretty girlfriend, too?!”

“Ugh, this is the worst.”

Meanwhile, the tall man who was dragging a girl with lavender-colored eyes and a fluffy dress out of there stomped past Manoch and the girl without saying anything at all. Seeing that, Manoch shrugged as a sign to get the others to follow them instantly.

Shin was looking at the man’s body before him consideringly. And, if he did not mistake it, he saw Waree’s ears turning visibly red. Even though he could not see her attractive face from this angel, he still guessed that it would be red just as much. After that, his eyes dropped down to the large hand that was holding onto his wrist firmly. And then, Shin could not help but smile slightly.

“And what exactly do you think you’re doing?” He asked.

“Don’t get the wrong idea.” She yelled, cutting him off. Her hoarse voice sounded a bit more blunt than usual. “I just want to get our business done. If we keep wasting time like this, we’re not making any progress. Also, Na sent me to be your guard. I’m just doing my job!”

Shin let out a snort quietly. And he noticed that his body was now a lot smaller. That was why his steps were clearly shorter than hers.

“Can you slow down?” He asked. “I’m still not used to this dress.”

Instead of slowing down as he asked, she just kept walking at the same speed. Also, Waree’s hand around his was tightening up and it started hurting him now.

“Just keep walking. You’ll be there soon. Or do you want me to carry you?”

Hearing that, Shin’s lips parted, but there was no sound coming out as Waree continued,

“Or is it that you were having fun flirting with the guys back there? Sorry if I interrupted you.”

“Can you not say something creepy?”

Shin replied right away with an awkward face. And hearing that, Waree giggled, but she hid it in a cough so smoothly that the one who was being dragged around could not notice it at all.

“Good then.” Waree ended that topic. “Your friend should be at the Kitty casino, right? I know where that place is, and we better go before we run into trouble. Let’s get the business done.”

“Yeah...”

Shin agreed while he was still confused about girls’ moods. Suddenly, she would get angry at him, and then a second later, she came to save him. Honestly, he had no idea what was going on in this woman’s mind. Did she really hate his guts, or not?

Meanwhile, Waree did not say anything more. However, her hand was still holding the hand of the girl behind her firmly. The look in her eyes was threatening every man who dared to glance at Shin.

This was not right. There surely would be more coming to hit on this guy again if they stayed here longer.

She needed to hurry, taking this man somewhere no one cared about him.

But damn, he was already attractive in his usual body. But when he was a woman, there were men chasing after him still.

He was so irritatingly popular!!

While Waree was planning a route to avoid other players furiously in her mind, Manoch and the girls paced quickly after the two. The observer like him could only laugh amusedly, shaking his head wearily.

“So, does Miss Vice really hate Mister Shin’s guts?” Aerin asked. “Well, if I didn’t know them before, I’d think that Mis Vice’s jealous of Mister Shin when I see them like this.”

Hearing the thick girl next to him, Manoch cracked into a laugh instantly.

“That’s right.” He agreed quietly. “I can see now why Na put these two on a mission together. But well, he needs to give credit to my switch pill, too.”

Back to Alexander ship. It was 5 p.m. on the same day. The sky around started turning darker, showing that the night was falling closely. Wisana was standing alone inside the living room. He was looking out of the large glass window at several players of Nemesis working busily after they were informed to be standing by here for the next five days.

Maysa had assigned those common players to explore the area thoroughly, as well as sent the field unit led by Tunwa to search for monsters and items that could be useful. And down there, many of the players started carrying different kinds of large-sized monsters such as saber-toothed tigers, crocodiles with gold armor, and stone snakes back inside the ship now.

Mek had to be responsible for checking items while Manoch was away. He was pacing busily to the front of the ship, while he was checking items the field unit brought back from their hunts. If it was some good stuff, it would be brought to the items production unit to process it. But if it was not, it would be thrown into the reactor in the back of the ship, turning it into some stored energy for the ship.

“My guild has such good teamwork.”

Wisana said in a steady voice before his amber eyes looking up to the horizon where the sunlight was slowly fading away.

“Papa, papa, papa, look, I did it!”
