Chapter 425: Damaged Weapon Part V

Chapter 425: Damaged Weapon Part V

“What did this to them?” Mek, who was sitting in the pilot seat, turned to ask with a curious face.

“Probably that strange curse of Sven,” Shin replied.

“But it still worked after the curse, didn’t it? You used it in the latest battle, right?” Tunwa was the one who asked. He remembered well that Shindanai summoned those spears to destroy enemies’ turrets down in the blink of an eye.

“That was probably its last strength. After the battle, I tried summoning Longinus out many times, but it didn’t work. I can’t even put the rings on my fingers now.”

Shin’s words made everyone turn to look at each other desperately when they realized that their force lacked main damage like Shin in the time where they could get into a fight with enemies at any time like this. Also, if there was not extreme damage to break through anything from the Four Seasons, invading The Catarals’ base to rescue Nuchjaree suddenly sounded like a dream!

"Did you ask Ae for a repair?” Warunya suggested.

“Oh, Orn, no, that’s just impossible. It’s a legendary item, not some item that can be crafted simply. I don’t know how it works. Plus, this is an effect from a curse, I don’t think that I can fix it.”

Everyone turned to look at Manoch who just shrugged hopelessly.

“I’ve examined it,” Stella spoke up. “Mister Shin was cursed by a curse called ‘Black Bullet.’ It’s a special curse that only a few players can use because it requires a special bullet to go with it. And to craft this bullet, it needs a lot of materials, too. From my research, it says that the cursed bullet can only be made 1 or 2 shots per year. Its ability is to destroy items or disable the player’s abilities. Plus, the effecting time isn’t fixed. The curse will stick with us until we find someone who can remove the curse.”

Listening to that, the gang looked at Wisana who was standing by the captain’s seat.

“Don’t be so surprised, guys. The name of the curse is literally Black Bullet.” He said with a grin. “Sven did this. I can see now why he purposedly shot at Shin and me. He was aiming to destroy our weapons.”

“Didn’t you get shot, too, that day, Na?”

Tunwa asked with a stressed face.

“I did, but just scraping. So, there’s no problem for me. Also, someone came to save me from that just in time.”

He said, pushing the little girl who was hugging him from behind on her head so that Mona Lisa peeked her face out for everyone to see as she smiled widely, showing her sparkling front teeth.

“I ate that black beam. It tasted bad!”

The little one yelled in a delighted voice. Everyone turned to look at each other again, and they winked, confused about how dragons’ stomachs work.

“Let’s forget about that for now,” Maysa cut them off from the captain’s seat. She was holding her temples with a serious face. “The problem is the Four Seasons. What do we do to repair and make it back to normal?”

“Good question.”

Everyone was back to being hopeless again. However, there was a pair of eyes that looked at Shin differently. The pair of emerald, green eyes looked strangely awkward as those lips pressed together tightly.

A-HEM!

Finally, she decided to intentionally cough out aloud like she tried to get the man’s attention to her.

“W ...what about your hands? They didn’t get the curse, too?”

Waree asked without looking him in the eyes. Maysa and Wisana saw that and side-eyed each other as they slipped out laughter. Meanwhile, the one who got asked raised his eyebrows, never expecting her to talk to him in such a normal voice like that now because earlier, she kept stressing her voice every time she had to say something to him.

“They’re fine,” Shin replied briefly. “Miss Stella dispelled the curse away. It was something else that attacked my hands, so it could be healed. The Black Bullet curse tended to take down the Four Seasons only.”

“W ...well, good, then. Because it would be so troublesome if you got the curse and died on the ship.”

Hearing Waree intentionally snap her voice like that, Maysa curled up an amused smile. After that, she turned to look at Stella who was sitting around there.

“Can’t you dispel this Black Bullet thing, Miss Stella?”

“No, I don’t think I can.” The oldest one in the room replied right away. “It’s a curse with as extreme damage as a legendary item. I think that the only one who can remove the curse is Sven himself.”

Listening to that, Maysa reached up to rub between her eyebrows softly as she tried to sort this out, even though the situation was pushing them off the edge right now.

If she just decided to forget about it and find a new weapon for Shin to replace, that would be too risky. Because a player that broke through to destroy enemies like Shin was her important card that she could not lose in the war. But what should she do?

When there was no one who could repair the Four Seasons here.

“Can I have 5 days?”

Finally, Shin spoke up in a calm voice. He turned to look at Maysa like he was asking her for permission. And the captain looked away at her boyfriend confusedly.

“Why did you ask that?” Maysa asked.

“In five days, can you guys wait for me here? I’ll travel to my private repairman. I think he’s in Lutier, and it’s not very far from here.”

“Your private repairman?”

Everyone repeated at the same time with curious faces, especially Maysa who raised her eyebrows.

“And he’ll be able to fix your Four Seasons?” She asked.

“I think so because he’s the one who made these rings on his own. Also, his crafting skill is of the top tier in Pride. It’ll be worth a try to ask him to check the item out.”

Maysa touched her chin as she was considering it. She glanced at Manoch, the best friend who was standing in another corner. The merchant with glasses then nodded back at her in response.

"The maker should be able to fix it,” Manoch said. “Every item has different formulas and materials. So, the maker of this should know where it’s broken and how to repair it. Plus, legendary items are delicate and complicated. It probably gets more messed up if someone else tries to fix it.”

Maysa nodded at the information. She was still thinking about what to do next. Her light grey eyes were back to look at her boyfriend who was being like her, he had no idea what he should be doing next.

The point was that Lutier, the town Shin asked to go find his repairman, was located quite far from Alexander’s hideout. It would take an entire day to go there, and they had no idea how long it would take to repair the weapon.

“If you really want to go, travelling alone will be tough, you know.”

Wisana said, drawing every eye back to him.

“Well, your weapon is not working right now. What would you do if you got ambushed along the way? There’re a lot of thieves going around to rob players’ items lately.”

“Don’t worry,” Shin replied briefly. “Even without Longinus, those thieves are still not a match for me anyway. I’ll go there as fast as I can and be back within 5 days, I promise.”

“Still too risky.”
