Chapter 423: Damaged Weapon Part III

Chapter 423: Damaged Weapon Part III

“I’m not going to ask who you are and where you’re from, but you don’t seem to have a bad intention for that man at all. So, what if I say that I can take you to who you want to meet? What’d you say?”

“Really?”

She shouted happily at those words as a delightful smile appeared clearly on her face.

“Uh-oh, you’ve got such a pretty smile there. I’m very jealous of this disciple of mine. How come there’re always beautiful girls surrounding him?” He said, then sighed. “This seems interesting, especially for that girl. What face she’d make after finding out about her boyfriend having a flirt with someone else.”

The taller man spoke and laughed amusedly to himself, making the younger man beside him elbow the man to get him to focus again.

“Did you just say that you can take me to him?”

The woman repeated while the tall, annoying man was wrapping his arms around his ribs because the elbowing just now was not so soft at all. Finally, he smiled delightedly and walked to the woman.

“Yes, I can take you to that guy, but with one condition.”

“What condition?” She raised her eyebrows.

Then the taller man pointed his finger at the young man who was travelling with him.

“If you can beat my disciple here in five minutes. Of course, don’t kill him, but you have to make sure that you make him unable to fight back anymore, and you will win. And when you win, I’ll take you to the guy without any conditions at all.”

The owner of those ruby eyes narrowed down slightly at the words. They were staring at the taller man before them. Before moving to look at the younger one who now had taken off that worn-out brown cloak, revealing light armor like those speed fighters had he was wearing.

“Why would I do something like that?” She asked,

“I just want to test you a little bit.” He said, then grinned. “Of course, this is not just for you, but for my disciple as well. It’s just that I’ve been making a final test for him, and I think you could be the most suitable one for that, gorgeous.”

Hearing that, she stopped short, looking the man before her right into his eyes like she could not guess what he was thinking. The only thing she knew for sure was that this man’s smile looked very shady!

“So, what would you say? It’s okay if you say no, not forcing you or anything.”

She sighed softly, before summoning the large scythe out again.

“If you don’t do as you promised me, you’ll get slaughtered next.”

After those threatening words were spoken, the taller, irritating man put his hands up like he was surrendering to her.

“I won’t break the promise, gorgeous. But just so you know, my disciple here is so good,” he said, curling up a slight cunning smile. “He’s also a junior of the man you’re looking for.”

“...!!”

The woman turned to look at this irritating man with quite a shocked face. However, in that second, the small young man rushed forward at top speed. She tightened her grip around the scythe’s handle.

“And you told me not to kill him. You tricky man!” The woman shouted resoundingly.

“Damn it, lost again! This stupid chess game isn’t fun at all!”

The shout of frustration came from Tunwa who was ruffling his hair harshly as he was extremely upset. Opening in front of him, there was a mini-game window used to play games like chess, Othello, Go chess, and some card games with others who had a Pride account to kill some time.

Tunwa was sitting on one of the sofas placed in a corner of the room, looking frustrated with the online chess game he just lost. Another man, who was lying on the other sofa, glanced at the hot-headed one, before shaking his head wearily.

In the quiet living room on Alexander warship, the two best friends were there to relax after working stressfully all day long on the bridge. But it seemed like another night that Tunwa was short-tempered like this.

“Damn you, I’m done with this stupid chess! Now, Othello, I’m going to beat you up!”

That was once again the hot-headed yelled as he rolled up his sleeves.

At the same time, the door of the ship’s living room swung open, before a girl with light grey eyes and a slim body walked in.

“What’s Tun yelling again now? He’s been yelling since the evening.”

Maysa, who just arrived in the room, asked the other man who was lying on the sofa with a curious face. The man was holding his hand to paint something on a digital canvas that was floating above him before he turned to look at Maysa and shrugged like he had no idea, too.

“He’s been like this for days. Probably about the same old thing.”

Wisana, who was wearing an outfit of a sleeveless shirt, a pair of long comfortable pants, and bare feet, said and just turned back to continue with his oil painting art.

Seeing that, Maysa let out a long sigh,

“He’s still having the fight going on with Nuch?” She sounded bored. “How can they keep fighting for days? Don’t they ever get tired of snarling at each other?”

“You know them, don’t you?” Wisana said. “So, no, I don’t think they will ever get tired of that. One of them was probably a cat and the other was a dog in their previous lives.”

Maysa cracked into a laugh at his words. She was dressed in thin and comfortable clothes which were a white, clean-looking shirt and agile knee-length pants. The owner of those light grey eyes walked to take a seat down beside Wisana, before looking at the painting her boyfriend was working on. She curled up a splendid smile.

“Working?” She asked.

“Yeah, an assignment from your aunt.”

Maysa laughed wryly at those words. She saw Wisana painting a character design that was supposed to be an NPC for the Pride game. And the art skill of this man was as brilliant as usual. So, no wonder her aunt signed up a student who had not yet graduated for such a significant job.

“How’s it going on the bridge?”

Wisana asked without looking at her. He had his tongue sticking out a little when he had to focus on some delicate detail of the work.

“We’re doing fine,” Maysa replied. “We’ve landed on a spot that rarely has players or monsters passing by. Also, our stealth system is working very well. So, I just told everybody to relax now.”

“Um.” The listener drawled his voice in understanding. Even though he did not say anything much because he had work to focus on, he still smiled as he listened to Maysa and realized that she just did the perfect job as his captain.

“It’s been 15 days already.”

Maysa spoke in a drawling voice. She leaned back against the sofa, before holding her arms up as she stretched.

“Even since the war started, Pride’s world map’s been many times extended, but I never thought that it would become this large. Before this, it usually took a couple of days to travel from Tristan to Dores. But this, it’s been half a month, and we still haven’t made it to half the way.”

“Well, it can’t be helped that we have to be sneaky on our way there.”
