Chapter 410: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part IV
Chapter 410: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part IV
“Your reflexes are great, too. I think maybe a melee class is more suitable for you. It probably makes you more famous than you already are, Mister Vis.”
The younger one just stood up after his attack missed. He was brushing dust from the building’s remains off his pants, or should it be called the dust from this large hole he had just dug with his bare foot instead?!
“Keep running like this doesn’t look like the greatest warlord of the Bunny Burner, you know.”
“Really?”
Vis said briefly. He was not smiling, nor frowning. There were small wounds starting to appear on his skin. Most of them were bruised from this damn Akkee kid’s attacks. Okay, he might not be directly hit, but only scraping was enough to get him all these visible bruises already!
This kid’s strength was ridiculous!
He was not only chasing and attacking him, but Akkee also had been taking his sniper unit out along the way as well. It was like this kid was purposely pushing him to run to the ambushing spot. As if he knew where his unit members were hiding.
This kid got eyes everywhere, too, huh?!
“Uh, seemingly, my side’s started to fight back now.”
Suddenly, Akkee glanced away to the battle below. It seemed like Tryne and his force were able to break through Viper’s defense lines a little now. The area where Vis used to hold was totally invaded. Without the sniper unit, the defense lines clearly got a lot weaker.
The table had turned!
And it was because of this one kid only!
Seeing that, Vis grinded his teeth.
“I think it’s obvious now. My side is winning again.”
The kid spoke without even thinking first, while he was holding his hand up to scratch his head with an innocent gesture and a bright smile. Seeing that, the one who was seeing it felt his nerves twitching as he held his gun up and fired right away.
BANG!
“Oh! That was close.”
Vis’ bullet missed him by just an inch away. This Akkee kid could still dodge it easily, even though his eyes were on somewhere else.
"You’re telling me that I should take it more seriously in a fight, right? I totally forgot that. I’m sorry.”
The brat held his hands up in apology, before getting back in a ready position to fight again.
What was all this corky manner?
Was it because he was careless, or was it because this kid was confident that he would win anyway?
This was too out of line.
After the thoughts, Vis curled up a smirk, even though a drop of sweat was running down his cheek. At the same time, Akkee launched himself at him again. And this time, it was a pure fist, thrown at him in the most common way. Vis took a step backward and bent away a little to dodge the attack.
That was all to make Vis curl up a smile. He was wondering how this kid would dodge it in a close range like this!
“You’ve been waiting for me to come near you in the first place, right?”
Akkee grinned widely in close range. Vis stopped short, but his hand still prepared to shoot his gun at the enemy to death on this spot!
However, luring the other close was a mistake. Akkee was not panicked at all. He put his knee up and pushed Vis’ hand away before he could even aim the gun at him. At the same time, he took the chance to attack instantly. The second Akkee threw a punch, he shifted his elbow up instead, hitting Vis in the chest with full force!
Elbow Smash!!
91,862!!
A large damage number popped out as Vis couched blood out of his mouth. His slender figure was knocked out of balance, but Vis refused to fall. He rolled his body up in the blink of an eye, even though he had to do so with his hand clinging to his chest and face showing that he was in pain.
“Wow! You’re still not dead after taking that? You’re probably on the same level as, uh, ...level 65 boss, I think.”
“Thanks for the compliment.”
BANG!!
That was once again that Vis wasted a bullet. Akkee evaded it easily. Not just that, this was also another time when this brat proceeded to attack the one-eyed gunner again!
The agility and that annoying grin made Vis clench his jaws tightly. He could not run anymore. The latest attack made him unable to run, to be accurate. His legs could barely move at the moment.
So, he had to rely on a personal tactic now.
He hoped this was worth a shot!
CLICK!
The familiar sound of pulling off some safety pin came with a small white metal bar. The slender one stood still, waiting for Akkee to come to him directly. The younger one knew what the other was up to, but he did not seem to slow down at all!
“The bomb’s not going to work on me, Mister Vis,” Akkee said aloud.
“Yeah, I know that.”
PROOF!
Right after his words, the bomb in Vis’ hand went off. It was not a bomb with deadly damage, but a smoke bomb that was clouding the vision around them in the blink of an eye. Akkee stopped short, never expecting that the enemy would use a smoke bomb like this before.
“You’re thinking about attacking me inside the smoke? That’s a little bit too desperate of you.”
Akkee spoke up as he looked around the area. For him, this heavy smoke was just useless. He only needed to sense a slight movement of the other, so he could beat him to death at once!
After the thoughts, those indigo-blue eyes were searching around the smoked area right away. And within a blink, he saw an indistinct shadow of someone not quite far from where he was standing. The shadow looked like it was trying to escape out of the smoke with an injured body. Seeing that, Akkee curled up a big grin.
“Got you!!”
CRASH!
Then he leaped to attack that figure immediately. Akkee proceeded to get on top of the figure, drawing his fist up and punching down at it with full force. However, what he was sensing was a bit odd. What he just threw a punch at did not feel like a human’s body at all.
A few seconds after that, the smoke started fading away.
And what Akkee saw was,
“A puppet dummy?”
He was on top of a scarecrow! It was almost the same height as Vis. This was the Puppet Dummy skill of those gunner class players!
“It’s too late now, kid.”
Meanwhile, a deep voice rang up with a smile. That sharp eye was looking through the scope of the rifle calmly. The slender guy was sitting and ambushing from the top of a building. His index finger was on the trigger, ready to pull it anytime.
He took the second after the smoke bomb went off to flee from there to hide at another building as he left the dummy there as a decoy to get Akkee’s attention. And it could be said that his plan worked 100% without a doubt.
“Now, get back to your boss, you little shit.”
BANG!!
Another gunfire was heard again as a bullet was shot out of the chamber. Its speed was as fast as the sound, or faster. Akkee was still standing there, looking at the puppet confusedly. The rifle’s bullet would totally hit him right in the head.
If he was someone else...
“Crap!!”
