Chapter 408: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part II

Chapter 408: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part II

“Don’t care about them.” He said briefly, ejecting another shell out of the rifle’s chamber. “That unit has the most players, and their task is just to block the enemies from the back, easy and safe. If there’s a problem, they will be able to retreat right away. Moreover, if a person like William is in charge there, then no one is at risk of getting hurt anyway.”

“Should you be calling him by his name like that? He’s a guild leader anyway, you know.”

“Yeah, then he probably should act like one.”

Vis replied in a cold voice, before triggering his rifle to kill the 31st player of the day easily.

“CHIEEEF, if someone hears this, it’ll be...”

“This is our guild channel, isn’t it?”

Vis replied briefly, followed by laughing from other players in the channel who were listening to this conversation as well. Clearly, there were many players who were not fond of this William guy so much.

“Anyway, let’s just stick to our positions here. I’m sure the enemies will call more support in. Until then, we will keep ambushing them and let leader Viper take care of the rest. He’s a lot more reliable than unit two.”

“Yes, sir.”

The same reply from many players made Vis curl up a slight smile, while his eye was still on the target closely. However, there was no sign of Tryne getting out of his hiding spot at all.

“Eh?!”

Suddenly, there was something rushing past his scope very quickly, making him take his eye off that scope right away.

“What was that?”

“Chief, ARRRRRRGH!!”

BOOM!!

A second later, one of his players shouted through the communication channel with a loud explosion that made Vis turn the other way. And he saw clearly that the tall building where the player was hiding was totally destroyed.

“What’s going on? Answer me. Who’s the attacker?!”

Vis yelled in shock. His moderate figure stood up finally. His sharp eye was looking around quickly as he still did not get any reply. And only one moment later...

BOOM!!!

Another explosion noise was heard, of course, it was coming from another spot where one of his players was hiding. Vis was now sure that this was not normal. Just now, everyone reported that they had had the enemies under control and made them retreat already, but how come there suddenly was someone appearing and taking two of his snipers down?

“There’s another one, huh?”

Faster than he could realize, a delightful voice rang from behind Vis, making his sharp eye widen as a big drop of sweat ran down his cheek.

A young man with golden blond hair and big round indigo eyes was standing there on the edge of the building smoothly like he barely minded about the gravity, while he had a good-mood smile on his face.

“Uh-oh, seems like I’ve just run into a jackpot here. Vis the eagle eye, nice seeing you again. I hope your skills have improved while we haven’t seen each other for a year.”

The treble voice sounded familiar.

And Vis could recognize those irritating, corky sentences so well.

The 15-year-old genius, Akkee!

After the thought, the owner of the sharp eye like an eagle’s gritted his teeth. He put his rifle away, before quickly summoning a revolver in each of his hands. In a split second, Vis turned to the enemy and pulled the triggers to fire the bullets out of the chambers in the blink of an eye!

“...!”

That was once again that Vis was too surprised to speak. It was not because he missed the target, but it was because the target was never there in the first place.

“Oh, that was awesome. You’re the first one who can react to me this fast. the other two earlier couldn’t even pull their guns out.”

BANG!!

Vis did not say anything in reply. He chose to fire the next shot backward without even looking.

“WAHH!”

Akkee shouted as he barely leaped back away in time. And that was a chance for the one-eyed shooter to turn and look at this irritating kid. The kid held his hand up to wipe the sweat off with a relieved face. Maybe that was because the bullet just missed him by the tip of his nose.

“You’re really full of deadly skills. That’s why you’re the vice leader of the Bunny Burner guild.”

Akkee said with a smiley face, while the one who was complimented was not smiling at all.

“You’re with the other army, it means that you decided to join Pandora guild, right?”

The question made Akkee raise his eyebrows right away.

“How did you know?”

“It’s not that hard to tell. Apart from our guild, only the Pandora guild was interested in you and asked you to join. So, if you did not join us, then you probably chose them. It’s just an easy guess that even a three-year-old can figure it out.”

“I see.”

The younger one scratched the nape of his neck.

“Anyway, was Miss Valentine mad at me that I didn’t choose the Bunny Burner since she came to invite me in person like that?”

“My leader isn’t that narrow-minded.”

Vis smirked, before tightening his grip on the gun steadily.

“But I think we better stop chitchatting now, kid.” He said, pointing the gun at the enemy. “This is a war, not a family gathering. Personally, I’m curious how that genius kid has improved throughout the year as well.”

A bright smile appeared on his youthful face, while those indigo-blue eyes were staring at the enemy in front of them.

“That’s the vice of Bunny Burner. You sure have a point.”

----------------

“We’ve got a bad situation here, leader. We’ve lost signal with Mister Vis’ unit.”

A shout with panic made the slender woman who was standing on the top of a tall building in the southern part of Tristan gasp in surprise. There was fear in her expression for a second as those violet eyes looked at the view in front of her consideringly. What she was seeing was that the spots her players were ambushing started to have a mess of smoke going up high.

“They’re all under attack?” Valentine asked softly.

“I ...it’s worse, leader. Our defense lines are being pushed back. And this means our plan will...”

Valentine held her hand up to make the player from the communicative unit stop talking. She then proceeded to touch her chin, while she was thinking.

Her plan was supposed to be flawless. Her defense lines had those of the best shooters of the game, so they should not have lost this easily. Also, the landscape here was a lot more favorable to her force than the other’s.

Moreover, the enemies’ army would not send those top-tier players out this soon. Her plan was to capture the center of the city before those players came out, but it was still too late for that. If her force was destroyed in a brief time like this, it meant that...

Those big players were out here already!

“Contact leader Viper. Tell him to not retreat, no matter what happens. I’m going to go support them in 5 minutes.”

“Go support? You’re thinking about going there by yourself, boss?”

The player shouted in shock, making Valentine curl up a pretty smile.

“Yeah, just want to take a little walk.”

That smile came with her sweet voice. She seemed fine from the outside. However, there were only a few people who could tell that this angel was actually being anxious. especially about that person, she was greatly worried about him.

“I think it’s a bit too soon for you to be out now, Valentine.”
