Chapter 407: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part I
Chapter 407: Wings That Fly to the New Legend Part I
“Keep attacking. Don’t leave them any space to hide up there. End the enemies on sight!”
The shout was from the man with a green lawn hairstyle named ‘Tryne,’ the substitute leader of the Dominion’s force, who was rushing into the battle zone as he busily yelled the command to his players.
He was standing tall on a walkway in the middle of Tristan City. One of his hands was holding a large sword, while the other was waving to call his force in to attack the enemies, who were all in defense positions and ambushing his guild in their grounds.
About an hour had passed, and Tryne was still unable to invade and destroy the red pirates’ army. Maybe that was because Valentine’s force was very tough just like how he heard about them. If they were to choose the best guild in the war, they totally had to give it to the Bunny Burner!
BANG!
Suddenly, the sound of gunfire was heard resoundingly all over the area as a player got shot in the forehead right in front of Tryne’s eyes.
“A sniper!” He shouted. “Take cover. Now!!”
After his words, a big guy like him was the one who ran to hide behind some old wooden boxes around there. Meanwhile, the ones who were too slow or did not hear the warning were all taken out and fell to the ground by the sniper.
“Chief Tryne!”
“Shane, what are you doing here? What about the other army?”
Suddenly, there was a man running and dodging bullets ran to Tryne. He was a small man with light brown hair and his face looked panicked as his hands were tightening around a sword and a shield.
“We’re totally destroyed on that side, chief!” The man named Shane answered with a shout.
“What? The Bunner Burners are all standing their ground here, aren’t they? Then why did you guys lose?”
“It’s Viper, chief.”
“Viper?”
Tryne raised his eyebrows before his eyes suddenly widened when he realized.
“You mean ‘the hell bonds’ Viper, that one?”
“Yes, it is him.” The brown-haired man said, panting. “Just him alone broke our force apart. We are trying to put up with him as best as we can right now. So, I’ve come to ask for some of our players on this side for support, because I don’t think we’ll be able to break through the enemies to that side with the players we have left.”
“The situation on this side isn’t easy either, you know.”
Tryne frowned his eyebrows. He peeked his head up to look over the boxes and saw his players’ bodies lay scatteringly. Then he guessed that the enemies did not have only one sniper. It could be many more than he could imagine.
And one of them had to be Vis, the eagle eye.
This guy was probably targeting him right now. And if Tryne randomly revealed himself, he would not stand a chance against Vis from this range at all.
“Divide the force into two, have the chief players attack, and take the most advantage from the landscape in order to gather enemies in one spot.”
Tryne said what he thought calmly.
The words that just came out of his mouth were the tactics of the red pirates, no, all of these were probably her plan, Valentine’s adviser named “Dao” or something.
TCH! Looking so nerdy like that, but she could come up with such a burning savage plan, huh!
“Chief?” Shane called his man with a worried face.
Meanwhile, the owner of the lawn hairstyle had no idea what they should do with this. Right now, his force that he divided into two teams to separate attack was blocked from doing so, besides, the enemies’ force separated into two teams as well, and they took part in attack and defense so perfectly. One was defending and drawing their attention, while the other was attacking and gathering them, waiting to finish them all at once.
“We’ll probably be surrounded, I think.”
Tryne spoke up softly, before turning his tense eyes to his guild member.
“We need to ask for support. The situation in the battle zone is very confusing. Using our communication channel right now’s not a clever idea. So, Shane, you need to go get support from Pandora guild in the backline, do you understand?”
“Me?”
He pointed a finger at himself confusedly, because right now, he would rather help Tryne break through the defense of the Bunny Burner guild. And he did not understand why they needed support when they could break through the enemies’ front lines if they took some time to make a new plan and attack carefully.
“Yeah. I’m not so sure if Valentine is there in the back. Also, even if we can get through her defense, will there be enough players left to fight against her? Read the situation, too, Shane. Don’t just rush into a fight senselessly.”
“O...okay.”
Tryne warned straightforwardly. It was a pure experience that told him to get some support. He was sure that Marcus and Lavi were not going to join the battle if Vincent was not here. They did not care if Valentine was rampaging them out here.
In such a case, the best solution to fix their problems right now was to call for help.
They needed to notify Emwika that their force was losing, so she could come up with a plan to fix it in time!
“What are you waiting for? Go back to the Pandoras now. You’re the fastest here, Shane!”
“Y ...yes, chief!”
After that, the small guy was about to rush off, but there was something telling him to stop his feet. Something that just ran past the two quickly, making their eyes widen.
“No, don’t call for support. I’ll be screwed if you do that. Just leave it to me!”
----------------
BANG!
Another gunshot was heard resounding in the area, while the sharp eye like an eagle was moving away from the scope of the rifle in his hands. After that, he quickly pulled the bolt to eject the empty shell out of the chamber.
“29 players down, huh.”
Vis the eagle eye, one of the top-ranked players of Pride, said in a steady voice, before putting his one eye on the scope again.
What he was staring at was a large wooden box that was placed on a walkway in Tristan, the box that a big target ran to hide behind just now.
“Come on out now, Tryne. You don’t want to play a mind game with a sniper. I have all day to wait for you to get out of there, and you’re really not the type who can bear staying still for so long.”
He spoke calmly to himself. His eye was on the box all the time, but if anyone ever was in his attack range, his bullets could still take the enemies down accurately and faster than they even realized they had been shot.
“Chief Vis.”
Suddenly, there was a voice calling him through his guild’s communication channel.
Vis did not ever finch, even though he was deeply focused on the image in front of him.
“Yeah?” He replied in a slow voice.
“It seems like the enemies’ frontlines are all taken out now. Should we have our sniper go support unit three?”
“No, we don’t have to. Chief Viper is there, so there shouldn’t be any problem.”
Vis replied calmly as he pulled the trigger again, sending a girl to the ground. Clearly, his cold blood did not spare anyone regardless of their gender.
“W ...what about unit two?”
The other side of the call might have just seen Vis shooting a girl coldly as well. That was why he started to speak again in a shaking voice.
“Don’t care about them.”
