Chapter 406: The Real War Part VIII
Chapter 406: The Real War Part VIII
“A ...anyway, is it complete yet?” Maysa asked, looking up.
And after hearing the question, he smiled and took her hand to start walking again.
“Only one last thing to do is you cutting the opening ribbon, babe.”
“Huh?”
Maysa raised her eyebrows in confusion but finally walked after him to the Alexander which was approximately 120 meters long and 40 meters tall.
When they got to the middle under it, there was a ladder hanging down with a door opening wide, looking like it had been waiting for them to get on it for a long time now. So, without hesitation, Wisana led his girlfriend up the ladder right away.
The mechanical noise was heard all the way inside the ship. There were about 10 players in Nemesis uniforms standing there. They turned around and saw the three of them walking inside, and then they all held their hands up to salute.
“Welcome to the Alexander, Captain!”
Everyone greeted them in a cheerful voice.
However, Maysa was still a little confused by their actions and words. She did not know how to react, so she just saluted back in response formally.
“Captain? You?”
Maysa turned to ask her boyfriend with a confused expression, but he only replied to her with a smile without saying anything. All this wide aisle, there were many lights to guide the way and make Maysa hyped up. She had never seen something so exciting as this before.
Until now, she did not want to believe that this warship belonged to her guild.
After a while, the three walked to a large door by the end of the aisle. Wisana did not wait a second before he moved to a secure finger scanner attached to the door frame. Then he placed his hand on it, making a beeping sound coming out softly.
The door swung open fast.
A warm breeze blew against them with computer noises were heard all over the area.
“Oh, you’re finally here, May.”
A cheering voice of Manoch greeted her right away.
After walking into the room, Maysa felt even more excited with these control panels installed around according to their types of functions. To the furthest of the room, there was a large glass window to see the surrounding outside in front of two seats and the control dashboards that were clearly for the pilots of the ship.
Looking to the left and right, there were three more seats on each side with more control panels and many screens opening busily. Then there was the biggest seat in the middle of the room that did not have those dashboards like the others.
“You totally put her in surprise, Bro. See, she’s looking around like she was from behind a far mountain.”
Manoch who was standing in the middle of the room said jokingly, making those who were with him in the first place crack into laughter.
“What is all this?”
Maysa turned to ask her boyfriend with a confused face still.
And hearing that question, he gave her a soft smile right away.
“I just thought that our Nemesis guild should have an actual base because it wouldn’t be good for us to set some tents up like a boy scout campfire forever. So, Ae and I thought that we should start building a durable base for us already. And it was so strange that we had the same idea that it’d be very convenient if we had a portable base. So, that’s it, the beginning of the Alexander project.”
Maysa blinked in confusion, before looking at the glasses man who had been her close friend since she was a child. Manoch held two fingers up as he winked at her in return.
“At first, I wanted to use this as our ultimate weapon in the war, because it would take at least 3 months to complete it casually. But somehow, we ran into a situation that needed it, so I told Ae to rush and finish the project by today.”
“And we did it in a split second before the deadline,” Manoch added.
“Did you really plan all this?”
Maysa turned to ask her boyfriend with a surprised face. He only smiled widely back at her, winking in a good mood.
“Well, yeah, just like you said, it’s just my personal crazy need.”
Hearing that, everyone cracked into a laugh right away, especially Maysa who was smiling the widest smile.
“You’re always full of surprises.”
“That’s because it’s me, baby.”
He said and winked at her again, before looking at everyone in the room. After that, Wisana took a deep breath as his expression shifted to be serious like he was a different person.
“Now, I’m going to assign you guys’ responsibilities.” He spoke aloud, before putting his eyes on Manoch first. “Manoch, you’re the mechanic chief who is in charge of taking care of the Alexander to be functional all the time. As for your team members, you’ll have to handle it yourself.”
“Yes, sir.”
The glasses merchant held his hand to his forehead, before flicking it out slightly as an acceptance.
“Warunya and Aerin, you two please take charge as communicative agents, coordinate and support the communication system in our guild, too.”
“Copy that.”
Warunya and the thick girl Aerin, who had gained a lot of trust as the one who helped the guild steal the crystal, spoke up in unison. After that, they both walked to take the seats on the left side of the bridge right away.
“Mek, You’re the navigator of the Alexander. You have to control the ship like everyone’s lives depended on you, do you understand?”
“Okay, Boss!”
Mek replied in a cheering voice, before walking to take the pilot’s seat in the front right away.
“Angie, you take care of the MAS (Magic Attack System), okay?”
“No problem.”
The little one said clearly and skipped her feet to one of the seats on the right side of the bridge, the side that had the control panels and several types of magic diffusers of the Alexander.
“And you, Waree, you’re in charge of the MDS (Magic Defense System) position. Do your best because this position is the most important.”
“Trust me on that, Boss.”
His sister winked, before taking a seat next to Angie.
“Miss Stella, please take care of the MSS (Magic Support System) for us.”
“You can count on me. If I take care of this part, I assure you that everyone will be safe, if the vice would ever let me perform my skills sometimes.”
She said with a knowing smile, then took a seat next to Waree. And these three women who were assigned to take care of the magic diffusers were ones of the top-tier mages of the game.
“Shin and Tun,” Wisana said, before turning to look at the guys who were standing near the wall together. “You two can be the attack unit. Anyway, Tun, you’ve chosen the best players to join your team already, haven’t you?”
“Yeah, I’m on it,” Tunwa spoke.
“And what’s my role on the bridge here?” Shin asked.
“Don’t worry about that. I’m not going to keep you inside here for sure. You’ll be fighting outside with me.”
Hearing Wisana’s words, Shin let out a throaty laugh softly, before putting his eyes on Waree. Of course, she was accidentally looking at him as well, but with the upset she was still having, she just pretended to talk to Angie smoothly.
“And here’s the last position," Wisana walked to touch Maysa’s shoulder softly after he spoke. “The captain of this ship. I’ll leave it to you, May.”
“Me?”
The one who was just shoved the biggest responsibility in her hand raised her eyebrows, pointing a finger at herself unexpectedly.
“I don’t think it’s a good idea. You’re the guild leader, aren’t you? Why would you let me have the most important position like this?”
“Because it is important.” He stroked her hair softly after speaking. “That’s why I assign you to do it.”
“But...”
“A crazy one like me can’t take responsibility for everyone’s lives. That’s why I count on you, Captain Maysa.”
He said, then held his hand up to salute her right away, the same with everyone else who wanted to show their respect to Maysa. The one who was assigned to the biggest position let out a brief sigh, before saluting back at them. After that, she turned back and walked to the seat in the middle of the bridge right away. Seeing that, everyone curled up a soft smile.
“And our first mission,” Wisana spoke up again. “Is to bring our most important friend back to take the gunner position right away. Because without that one, our guild gets weirdly quiet.”
He pointed at the last seat that was still empty, the one next to Warunya’s on the left side of the bridge. Everyone in the room smiled after they heard their leader, especially Tunwa who turned to lock eyes with Wisana, before the two best friends nodded knowingly at each other.
“Alright then,”
Wisana said briefly, then walked to stand beside the captain’s seat.
Their eyes were looking at each other like they were implying something.
A while later, Maysa curled up a wide smile.
“The Alexader, take off!”
