Chapter 405: The Real War Part VII
Chapter 405: The Real War Part VII
“Anyway, didn’t you say that you had a surprise for me?”
A moment later, Maysa walked to him with a curious face. Seeing that, Wisana curled up a wide smile right away.
“You’re so impatient.”
“Of course, I am. You kept me waiting here alone when the others had gone somewhere else. And Ae just kept smiling suspiciously at me.”
The brother and sister cracked into laughing at Maysa’s words instantly. It was clear that even Waree already knew what the surprise her brother was about to give to his girlfriend was. Of course, the one who had no idea about it pouted in displeasure right away. Wisana saw that and hurriedly held his hand up to stroke Maysa’s hair.
“There, there, don’t be sulky, babe.” He said, smiling widely. "I think it’s time now. Follow me. I’ll show you the surprise.”
He said, grabbing Maysa’s hand to walk after him. Meanwhile, Waree smiled sweetly, before clapping a couple of times to make the door and every window of the magic warrior office shut close.
“What? Why did you shut the door, Nam? We’re not even out yet.” Maysa spoke up.
“Because we don’t need to go out. The entrance is inside this house.”
“Huh?”
The owner of those light grey eyes raised her eyebrows in confusion.
It did not take long for Wisana to take his girlfriend to the front of the grandfather clock set in the living room. He proceeded to open the glass on its dial, before pushing the hour hand to number 12 and pushing it back down to number 6.
“What are you doing? This is your surprise?” Maysa asked.
“Be a little more patient, gorgeous.”
The cheeky one held his hand up to touch her cheek softly, then winked at her. And after a blink, the wall next to the clock started to open, revealing a secret door that made Maysa jump.
“A door?”
“To be more accurate, it’s the elevator’s door to the basement,” Waree explained.
“Elevator? Basement?”
The more they talked, the more Maysa got confused. Seeing that, Wisana slipped out laughing, taking her hand inside the elevator right away. Waree followed them in, and the door shut finally.
“Since when did it get built and why did I never know about it before?”
The chief of staff asked excitedly, but Wisana deliberately rolled his eyes the other way.
“Well, months ago.”
“Why didn’t you tell me anything? This is a big deal. How much did it cost to build a secret room like this anyway?”
“Approximately 35 million, chief.”
Waree answered the question as she opened a window to check the amount of money that they spent on it. And seeing that, Wisana turned to stare at his sister with a look of “Thanks a lot for that!”
“35 million?!” Maysa shouted aloud. “Where did you get that much money from? Now I can see why our guild’s been having a financial problem lately!”
“This doesn’t include an immense amount of money in building your surprise yet, May.”
Waree spoke up with a smile again, while the only man here could only rub his temple.
“You didn’t have to say all that. Nam!” He bawled.
“What? I was just giving her a report like a vice should do.” His sister made an innocent look at him.
“Then don’t, next time. I don’t see you normally do that kind of thing anyway.”
“Don’t try changing the topic, Mister Wisana.”
His plan of trying to change the topic did not go very smoothly when Maysa placed her hands on her waist, staring at her boyfriend with a mean look. Well, his getaway plan never worked once though. If Maysa caught him causing trouble, he would never be slick enough to escape!
“Come on, gorgeous.” Wisana hurriedly held his girlfriend. “Anyway, the money I spent on this is mine from hunting bosses totally. Ae and I didn’t touch the guild’s savings at all. Also, we did all this for our guild’s benefit, too. So, don’t be mad at me, babe.”
The one thing that worked the best for Wisana to use was a childish make up like this one.
Maysa often calmed down when she was hugged, and she did this time as well. She just sighed afterward, feeling tired somehow. Maybe it was because 35 million gold was a lot that they could build a castle for their guild with right away.
“You were saying that you did it for our guild, but I think that it’s more like you just wanted to feed your personal crazy needs, right?”
She nagged knowingly, making Wisana smile wryly with an inability to argue with that.
“Come on, May,” Waree spoke up. “What my brother spent his money on this time isn’t useless like before. Moreover, the large amount of money is nothing compared to what it can make for us.”
Listening to that, Maysa sighed. She gave her best friend side eyes.
“You’re backing your brother up again, huh?” She nagged.
“Aw, no, it’s not like that. Let’s just say that you should see it with your own eyes first.”
After her words, the elevator slid open wide right away. What was in front of them was mostly darkness with some dim lights on the walls.
Seeing that, Maysa turned to catch eyes with Wisana and Waree. She purposely sighed at them, even though she was feeling a little excited now. Also, she could not help but wonder what surprise her boyfriend was going to give her and why they had to build a huge secret room to keep it like this.
“Are you ready, baby?” Wisana asked smilingly.
“Yeah.”
Hearing the reply, the three slowly walked toward the light together. At the end of these walls, the surprise for her he ordered to build was waiting there. The lights started to brighten up as his hand held hers tighter.
A warm breeze blew against her slim body.
Those light grey eyes widened when she walked under the light.
The sound of a large active machine was heard in a steady rhythm, while golden magic particles were spreading out from the back of it. Its shape was long, slender, and painted white and red on some parts. Its four wings were spreading out wide.
“A warship?”
She spoke in a shaking voice.
Okay, she might guess that maybe Wisana built something big without her knowing about it. At first, she thought that it would be some sort of car, but this...
“Let me introduce this to you, gorgeous. This is NMS-001 Nova le’ Alexander, or Alexander for short.”
“Alexander?”
She said with a surprised look in her eyes.
Seeing that, Wisan’s satisfied grin went even wider. And that was because he knew right away from Maysa’s reaction that his surprise totally worked.
“The outer surface was built from Orichalcum or Oriharukon. It’s known as the best mineral in the game at the moment. It’s also blended with 25 tons of Mithil, the mineral that upgrades the quality of equipment items to make its outer surface strong. Even a dragon can’t break it.”
Wisana started explaining proudly.
“And for the engine, we modified it from your Lanova, May.”
“My motorbike you borrowed from me months ago?”
“Yeah.” He nodded in reply. “And Ae developed it with the same method he did with the butterfly effect to increase its speed. I think that the top speed recorded from testing is 350 kilometers per hour.”
Hearing that, Maysa’s mouth parted in shock. A massive object like this was able to go that fast?
“It can fly 2 Mach, if we’re above the atmosphere, Na.”
“Really?!”
Wisana turned to Waree with a surprised face like Maysa because he just found out this fact about the Alexander as well. He never thought that the holy crystal could increase its efficiency this much.
“A ...anyway, is it complete yet?”
