Chapter 404: The Real War Part VI
Chapter 404: The Real War Part VI
“Well, that’s what I call inappropriate! Whatever. Just don’t do it again, okay?”
“Yes, yes, my lord.”
Suddenly, there were two voices ringing intensely. The players turned to look at them and saw that famous, cheerful-looking man with black hair walking with his gorgeous younger sister.
The two walked to the item’s couriers, flipping the canvas that was covering them open to check the items inside.
Finally, they both turned to look at each other, before nodding as a sign of something.
“All check. There’s no problem here, Na.”
“Yeah, have the items management unit take care of it from here then.”
“Okay.”
Waree promised her brother, then continued checking other couriers thoroughly like she was trying to look for something. Meanwhile, Wisana was glancing at the other players who were looking at him in unison. The man did not feel bothered, because he was already used to other people’s eyes.
After that, he checked the items from around 5 couriers more, before walking to a group of those players who were waiting there.
“Why have you become like this, Leader Vincent!!”
Suddenly, there was a voice shouting from the circle of players. The one who shouted was a man who was standing the nearest to Wisana. And of course, that made him jump, never expecting that he would be yelled at from close range like this.
“Y ...yes, what’s the matter?” He replied confusedly.
“Stop acting so wimpy already. Seeing you like this makes us feel even worse!”
“Me?” The one who was being blamed pointed his finger at himself, not catching up.
“Yeah! That’s right!” Another man shouted, too.
“Why are you being so weary and just walking around as the army told you to like this when you should have been on the battlefield right now?!”
Wisana raised his eyebrows at those words. He looked around and saw that these players were surrounding him closely as they were about to burst out their frustrations.
“We thought you’d have more pride than this. But it turned out that you’re all obedient to those jerks.”
“Yeah, and last night, you threw them a party as an apology to that William guy, too. Don’t think that we wouldn’t know about that. Let’s be honest, you’ve been doing all this just to build your popularity or what, huh?!”
Listening to that, the one who was getting the blame rolled his eyes tiredly. He then looked at Waree who was standing at a distance, and she could only give him a wry smile, before turning her face away from the problem.
“Well, about the party, I can explain.” Wisana raised his hands up, trying to compromise with them.
“You don’t have to say anything, we’re just very disappointed in you right now!!”
“Yeah.”
Everyone shouted out in unison, making Wisana rub his hands on his temples wearily.
“At first, we thought you were up to some plan, but all you’ve been doing is just surrender to William, haven’t you?”
“How can you accept this, Mister Vincent? It was obvious that the guy was taking advantage of you. The real Vincent would have knocked him down in the face already, wouldn’t he?”
The listener let out a long sigh. He looked at these players’ faces and could approximate that they should not be older than 18.
These people who were still sticking with him were teenagers who favored him and saw him as their hero totally. They were a group of players who had not given up and stayed here in the hope that he would do something to fix this, unlike those who had chosen to leave the camp earlier. Those who had left gave up and just followed William’s order obediently.
But these people still believed.
They believed that he would do something like their Vincent.
After thinking about this, Wisana cracked out a chuckle.
“You guys,” He spoke up finally. “Do you know that we’re assigned to move the items to Aeneas because they’ve abandoned us, and they see us as useless players that the army doesn’t want?”
Hearing that question, some of these teenagers nodded, and some turned their faces away like they were upset by his words.
“Of course, we do. That’s why we’re furious right now.”
“Yeah, it’s very frustrating that we got kicked out of the war when we haven’t even started fighting once.”
“I see.” Wisana nodded at them.
“You’re not frustrated at all?”
A woman asked, making him curl up a knowing smile. His eyes caught with his sister’s, she was standing and watching him from a distance, and then he sighed softly.
“No, not at all.”
His answer made them make a long face.
They never thought that their hero would ever say something like a loser before.
“Don’t get me wrong though.” Wisana gave them a soft smile. “What I’m saying is that if they don’t want us, then why would we waste our time pleasing them? No, we’re not going to waste it on them pretending they’re on our side anymore. If they think I’ll let them backbite me forever, then I wish them good luck with that.”
After his words, a smile started coming across these young men’s and women’s faces right away. They looked at each other with hope. And Wisana’s smile was like a guarantee that Vincent had not been killed in the war!
“What plan do you have, Mister Vincent?” a man asked excitedly.
“There’re plenty of things I want to do in this war, so I’m not going to let my short period of fun pass just like this.” He said, looking at everyone’s faces. “If you guys here think the same thing as I do, too, would you like to be a part of the Nemesis guild?”
Hearing the question, they started looking at each other without saying anything. After that, these teenagers shouted in unison, saying,
“Yes!”

“How’s it going?”
A sweet voice rang right away after the owner saw her boyfriend walking, smiling back inside with his sister. In the living room of the magic warrior office, there was only Maysa sitting alone on the sofa with a screen to watch the battle live.
“It’s all done,” Waree replied.
“And what did they say?” Maysa asked.
“Well, they all accepted. I thought we would get more players at first, but it seems like those who left for Aeneas earlier have already given up and chosen to follow William’s order.”
Wisana’s answer made Maysa close her window screen down. She stood up and let out a short sigh.
“It can’t be helped. The players left behind are mostly those with few levels and don’t belong to any guild, so it’s not surprising for them to give up that easily. Maybe they think that it’s pointless to resist.”
Wisana shrugged at her words.
“Well, it’s pointless to get those weak spirit players anyway. Because from now on, we’ll need an immense lot of spirit. There’ll be no place for spinelessness, you know.”
The two girls smiled brightly after hearing him, and Waree even cracked out a chuckle right away. It seemed like her brother started to be arrogant again after getting cheered up by hundreds of his biggest fans like that.
“Anyway, didn’t you say that you had a surprise for me?”
