Chapter 403: The Real War Part V

Chapter 403: The Real War Part V

“Then I think that your legs will get sore standing here because I never see you interested in anyone except for Vincent.”

Lavi smiled at those words, watching the battle below him concentratedly.

The fight he was seeing had been getting more intense since around a half hour ago when both sides of the armies rushed in to struggle with each other. The chaos in Tristan seemed to be multiplied, along with the city getting increasingly ruined.

He did not expect that they would be fighting in the city like this. Seemingly, what both sides wanted was the area, not the functional conditions of a developed city, or they would have been more careful about the damage they caused to the capital.

From what he saw, the defense side that took good advantage of the city’s landscape was the red pirates. He would guess that most of those were from the Bunny Burner guild totally. And the ones who were forwarding to attack were from the blue warriors’ side. These guys’ plan was mainly to repeatedly attack with strength. He knew within a glance that they were definitely from the Dominion guild.

And the rest of them were just hitting randomly without any strategy. Seeing that, Lavi let out a long sigh.

“Apart from the Bunny Burner and the Dominion, those people are totally just some support characters.”

Those sharp eyes were staring at the battle zone pitifully.

“Well, they’re already doing their best, boss.” The other man said in a wry voice.

“Without any strategy at all. They just want to swing their swords around. This is not a war anymore. It’s just like some school fight.” Lavi said tiredly. “Our guild probably doesn’t need to be in the frontline anymore. Let the Dominion handle it. Marcus’s men are almost 4 times more than Valentine’s anyway. What is left for us to do is wait for this to end.”

“Come on, that’s mean, boss.”

“It’s just a fact.”

Lavi shrugged like he could not care less in reply. His eyes were back on the one in a complete cloak next to him, before curling up a soft smile.

“How about you? Don’t you want to have fun down there a bit since you’ve followed me all the way here?” Lavi asked.

The other one paused a little, before looking at his boss. Those indigo-blue eyes looked suddenly sparkling after the question.

“Miss Emwika told me to not reveal myself from the cloak ever. She said that I’m the secret weapon of Pandora. Also, she always reminded me that if anyone finds out about who I am, she will cut me dead.”

Lavi laughed at those words. The boy in the cloak might be saying this with care and caution, but those eyes were sparkling in a way that he knew what this kid was thinking right away.

“Sooner or later people will know about who you are anyway,” Lavi said, before grinning brightly and taking the hood off the other’s head. “Right? 15-year-old genius, the winner of last year’s hunting gate with just level 32, Mister Akkee.”

The small one suddenly did not have anything to cover his head anymore, so a youthful face was revealed with big round indigo eyes. Briefly, he did not look any different from a normal boy with short blond hair and a friendly smile.

“Stop being sarcastic like that, boss. It’s not like I want to be famous or anything.”

“Oh, you’re saying that being popular is the fate of a genius huh? ...TCH, this kid has such an arrogant mouth!”

Then Lavi head-locked the kid with one arm, while the other was held up to mess with his hair, making the one who was being teased laugh delightedly.

“No, that’s not what I said.”

“Yes, it’s the same thing.”

“Ouch, ouch, ouch, but aren’t you like, popular for being a genius as well?”

“Probably, but that doesn’t change the fact that you sound very irritating anyway.”

They were teasing like beloved brothers for a moment. And before Akkee was able to escape from the arm around his neck, his hair had already been all messy.

Seeing that, Lavi cracked into a laugh, feeling amused by this kid’s look somehow.

“Anyway, do you still want to go fight down there?” He asked in a playful voice.

Hearing the question, Akkee paused for a few seconds. Finally, he poked his fingers into each other, looking strangely nervous.

“Well, of course, I want to go.” The blond-haired boy said. “For the past year after I joined Pandora, I’ve barely got a chance to fight with strong players, because Em always dragged me along in a fight with some boring monsters. When I asked to fight with a more difficult boss, she would always refuse to let me go, because she was afraid that the association of explorers would get the information about me.”

“And?” Lavi asked amusedly, even though he knew full well what this kid was about to say.

“Well, it’d be really good, if I could go fight in the front with the others. But Em is extremely strict with me, so I don’t know what I should do.”

The older one chuckled, before shaking his head slightly.

“Don’t be so circuitous, silly. Just say if you want to go fight down there or get back to Em in the backline.”

“I can fight?” Akkee asked with a hopeful expression.

“Yeah, like I told you, eventually, people will find out that you’re with the Pandora guild anyway. Also, you’ve developed to level 124 already and you don’t want to test your skills out at all, hm?”

“Yes, I do. Very much!”

Lavi smiled widely, pointing his thumb behind him as a sign that made Akkee grin ear to ear right away.

“Then go make the red pirates startled. I’ll tell Em that I’m the one giving you permission.”

“Thank you, Boss!”

The boy yelled delightfully, before taking the cloak off him right away, revealing a black sleeveless shirt, a pair of knee-length pants, and sneakers he was wearing to the battle. His two hands had a pair of dark-colored knuckle dusters. It was obvious that he was one of those bare-handed players who were unlikely to be found recently.

“I’ll get going then.”

“Yeah. Have fun.”

After that, the small figure started running delightedly, before jumping off the 60-floor building quickly.

----------------

Back to the base camp of the red pirates’ army near Albasta town again.

A lot of players who did not participate in the battle were gathering at the camp’s clearing, waiting to travel to the southern part of the map. Their objective was to move all material items to Aeneas town.

There were approximately 120 players waiting. There were also a lot of players who had gone out before them. Needless to say, these 120 players standing here were having very bored expressions for not joining Tristan’s frontline this time, too.

Also, at this meeting point, there were 13 couriers with 26 travelling birds waiting around them. Of course, they were for carrying those immense items that the red pirates harvested.

Even though there was a large group of players gathered in, the area around was surprisingly quiet. Everyone was barely speaking to each other. Maybe that was because they were in a bored mood that they did not get to fight in the battle, or maybe they realized that they were here because they were taken as useless for the army. In other words, they were just a hamper.

“I’ll say this again, Nam, don’t do something like that ever again. Do you understand?”

“Come on, I didn’t do anything inappropriate. It was just pretending.”

“Well, that’s what I call inappropriate! Whatever. Just don’t do it again, okay?”

“Yes, yes, my lord.”
