Chapter 388: Secret Meeting Part V

Chapter 388: Secret Meeting Part V

“You’re unbelievable to joke about that in such a time like this. Now, the mood’s ruined.”

“It’s the time like this. That’s why I said it.” The smooth one said, before grinning delightedly. “Having three kids is my dream, you know. And I’d prefer the first one to be a girl, so she can help her mother with her little brothers.”

“S... since when did anyone promise to marry you though, Mister Wisana?”

Maysa talked back with a blushing face, making Wisana laugh with hearty amusement.

“Oh, we can run away together, if you don’t want to get married. I don’t mind having it your way anyway.” Then he winked at her.

“You silly!”

The atmosphere had got more relaxed now when she unintentionally let out a laugh as well.

No matter what happened, Maysa believed that her lover would never keep his head down.

He would never be distressed or hopeless. He was a man who would never give up. And he was so warm. Until today, she kept telling herself how lucky she was to have met this man. She was never wrong about loving him. It was also the greatest luck that he loved her back as well.

After that, she curled up a sweet smile, before leaning herself back on him again.

“What are we going to do next?” Maysa spoke up.

“Good question.” Wisana touched her hair softly. “We might have to rescue Nuch from the enemies first. And we have to wait for our people who were killed to respawn and be in a ready-to-fight condition again as well.”

“We can’t rely on the same side now, too.”

Maysa said with an uneasy expression. Wisana understood what his lover was implying because he was thinking about the same thing.

The red pirate army was not safe for the Nemesis guild anymore.

“Apart from Valentine’s guild, no, we can’t.” Wisana said, “We have to watch our back from now on. I don’t know what exactly they want, but William knows what we’re going to do. That’s why he will do anything he can to stop us.”

“I hate jealous people,” Maysa said honestly.

“And those people can only play dirty,” Wisana said smilingly. “It’s my mom’s quote, she told me to not mind about these people, because that’s all they’re capable of doing. They don’t dare fight straightforwardly. Their brains barely believe that they can do it, so they fight dirty. The ones who will become the emperor must get past them first. So, if we trip over just this kind of trash, then I don’t think we’re not the real one.”

Maysa paused for a moment before she curled up a slight smile.

“That sounds like her.”

“I know right.”

He said, winking at her a little, before placing her head on his strong chest.

“Don’t worry, May. No matter what happens, I’ll protect you and everyone myself.” He spoke. His other hand clenched tightly into a fist. “I actually thought that there would be someone on our side disliking us. So, I kept thinking, what would I do if the one I wanted to fight joined the same army as me?”

Listening to that, Maysa looked up at her boyfriend with a considering face.

She started to sense something in his words now as well.

For a crazy person like him, having that kind of thought in his head was not surprising at all....

“Na.”

Maysa said his name softly and the man gave her a wry smile in return.

“Well, it depends on everyone’s opinion after all, because this is a big deal.” He paused and let out a long sigh. “Yeah, it’s pretty big.”

“Count me in with you as well.”

“Me, too.”

Suddenly, there was a deep voice and a sweet one coming interrupting the two, before two people appeared at the porch door.

The familiar tall man seemed to be struggling to walk a bit because he needed the girl with golden brown hair to support him by his side.

“Shin? Nam?”

Wisana called the newcomers’ names confusedly.

“I thought you needed to rest in the medical tent, didn’t you, Shin?”

“I wasn’t paralyzed that I had to lie still on the bed, Vincent.”

The quiet one talked back burningly, making Wisana and Maysa catch eye with each other and crack into a laugh. Damn, he did not talk much, but when he did, he was so annoying like he wanted himself slapped.

“What about you, Nam?” It was Maysa’s turn to speak up knowingly as well. “You don’t seem so mad now. You’re so kind for letting this kind of person cling to your shoulder like that from the medical tent all the way to this office.”

Waree started blushing intensely. She turned her face away like she was embarrassed. She actually felt irritated more though because it was rare for Maysa to tease her about this. But when she did, every word that came out of her mouth totally made her want to pinch this girl for a bruise so much!

“Well, it’s not like I want to!” Waree raised her voice. “But it’d be inappropriate to let a patient under my care crawl all the way here by himself, right? Also, I was insisted, or else I wouldn’t have carried him out like this!”

She stressed the last sentence as she threw Shin’s arm off her shoulder like she was disgusted about it. If they were someone else who was not close to her, they would never have seen a beautiful angel like Waree act like this.

Right now, both Wisana and Maysa were bursting out a loud laugh together, before shaking their heads in unison.

Then Shin looked down at the sulky one who was turning her face away from him. And he could only hold his hand up to scratch the nape of his neck awkwardly in response. Normally, he had never been good with words since forever. So, he totally had no idea what he should say in a situation like this.

“Anyway, Shin, what did you say when you came in again?”

Wisana asked like he just realized.

“What?” Shin asked back.

“Well, about that you said, ‘Count me in.’ thing.”

He said, before nodding at the other man with a smile like he was testing him. And seeing that, Shin let out a throaty laugh.

“I can see right through everything you’re up to, Vincent. Also, I always knew that a person like you couldn’t be kept in a cage for that long.”

Because this guy was a dragon, not a bird.

The dragon that loved freedom and flying up in the open sky.

Shin thought, but he did not say it. The guys were staring each other in the eye for a moment before Wisana slipped a laugh first and shook his head amusedly.

“You know what I’m thinking about doing it?”

“I think I do.”

With only a few gentle-sounding words, Wisana liked this guy even more.

“You never learn, do you?” Wisana said with a knowing smile. “You almost got killed today, and you’re still asking for more? If you choose to hang with me, troubles are going to find you nonstop, you know? Because I am the god-tier troubles attractive.”
