He did not finish his sentence before his voice became shaking. Clearly, he was too angry to put his words together.

Maysa cracked into a laugh at what she was seeing. Meanwhile, Valentine deepened her voice as she spoke to William.

“Leader William, please have more respect for this woman. Also, she’s the Nemesis guild’s chief of staff anyway. I might let it go this one time, but if leader Vincent heard you calling his close ally ‘bitch’, I don’t think it’d end well for you.”

The warning made the arrogant face move its lips up like a smile, but he was more in the most awkward situation. His hand was taking his sunglasses off shakingly.

“Who cares about that guy?!” He shouted with rage. “The problem is why did she take so many materials just to build this one cannon? Also, everything she took is from the Willam Star guild only!” The noble manners that he always had were completely gone.

There was left only a bawling man who made everyone behind him shocked.

“You’ve totally lost it, huh.” Maysa smiled amusedly but she acted like she was not. “About the hardware I took, they were all the raw materials for building the Nightingale gunner and nothing more than that. Also, you’re the one who gave me the permission to take as much as I need, aren’t you, Leader William?”

Maysa looked up at the older one in front of her with a delighted smile. And of course, it was a smile that was faked up in a way that he knew instantly that she was messing with him.

“Of course.” Manoch held a thump up with a delighted smile as well.

“So, you can go buy the new ones to replace them in your armory.” She paused a little after speaking, before winking at him. “Oh, that’d be a bit difficult though since the merchants don’t stick to one place for that long recently. But that’ll be your problem that I don’t have to care about at all, right? Anyway, you might want to ask the others to raise their hands in a vote again, maybe that would help you.”

It was obvious without saying it in words that Maysa was purposely messing with the man. Meanwhile, the others started making nervous faces, never expecting that Nemesis’ chief of staff would dare speak like that to the one with a much bigger title than hers. Moreover, she did not fear at all!

But there were also some of them who liked Maysa’s smart mouth. Especially Valentine, she held her hand to cover her mouth, while she was giggling with Viper.

“He’s totally lost,” Valentine spoke up softly.

“That’s right. And the chief didn’t do anything wrong. She asked for a support unit, but you refused to give her, William. Also, you said it yourself that she could take anything she needed. I heard that, too.”

Hearing these two mocking him in an amused voice, Willian swore that something in his brain snapped loudly. It was so loud that it wiped all his patience away.

“Y... you...” He ground his teeth and clenched his fists tightly, even though the other was a woman.

And his last straw tore apart. The tall man threw himself at Maysa instantly. Not only had this woman destroyed all his plans, but she also got back at him right in the face like this as easily.

However, the thought completely faded away when William was held back by dozens of golden magic ropes that appeared from the ground, tangling all around his limbs tightly in such a way that he could not move any muscle.

Not only that, there were many wires banding all over his body as well, especially the ones around his neck. They started cutting his skin now, making him bleed a little. Moreover, Valentine was pointing her large pistol at his right temple, too.

“I warned you to have respect for Miss Maysa, didn’t I?” Valentine said.

“I’m not going to guarantee your safety, if you ever think about harming her, William. I’m the type that takes sides with gorgeous girls, you know.” Viper added. There were magic wires appearing from his hands. Clearly, he was the one who was banding William in place right now.

William swallowed nervously as he clenched his jaws tightly.

And Maysa cracked out a chuckle.

“You two didn’t have to. With this kind of person, it isn’t necessary for guild leaders to deal with.”

Maysa said, sounding like she could not care less. But clearly, she had summoned her favorite Illusion guns in her hands as well!

“This is not nice, Mister William.”

The latest voice was spoken out so sweetly before the speaker walked in from behind them. She was the owner of the light magic ropes that were summoned to restrain William as soon as she walked in.

The girl with golden brown hair walked toward them with a smiley face. Her emerald, green eyes were staring at the tall man. She looked a bit shabby, but she was not injured anywhere.

“Nam,” Maysa said the newcomer’s name with a happy smile.

“What’s up, May? I was away for a while, and it seems there’s a big problem going on here, huh? I heard from the communicative unit that Na’s losing? How’s he doing now?”

Waree joined them instantly. Her hands were still not cancelling the skill. The slim girl just walked past William like he was not even there.

“Yeah, he lost, totally. There was a flaw in my plan.”

After speaking, Maysa looked at Willian knowingly with her best friend. Waree understood what she was implying right away that the flaw was not about the mistake she made with the enemies, but about how she failed at dealing with someone on the same side.

After knowing that, she glanced around the battlefield and at the Nightingale gunner that was continuously shooting. Then Waree started to understand the situation briefly.

And that was all for her sharp eyes to stare at the cause of all this right away.

“Do you know what I hate the most, Mister William?”

She paused after speaking to make sure he was listening. Meanwhile, the one who was being stared at by those fierce eyes flinched instantly. How she tied him with the magic ropes was already scary, but the look in her eyes right now was even scarier.

“One is cockroaches because they’re dirty and very hard to die, disgusting.” She said, curling up a cute smile. “Two is men who assault women. This kind of person is even worse than a cockroach. My hands always slip and kill them every time I see one. But I hope that you’re not one of them, right?”
