Chapter 372: Right In the Face, “From the range of 3 kilometers?!” Part VIII

Chapter 372: Right In the Face, “From the range of 3 kilometers?!” Part VIII

“This is like...” Shin said.

“Shoot the fish in a barrel.”

Wisana completed the sentence with a tense expression.

His lips pressed together tightly in a way that he had never done before.

“We need to call the support in now. We can’t win against them like this, we might have a chance if we get some support from behind because there’re not many enemies there.”

Shin suggested straightforwardly to the point. Wisana was thinking the same as well. If their support unit came and helped right away, their force could probably push back and break the enemies’ force like a wave, too!

“Yeah, we do. It’s an urgent situation right now.”

Wisana shouted aloud, taking the signal flare Maysa gave him out. After that, he twitched the strand on the tip off, before smacking its bottom harshly, making a dazzling spark flaring up at the tip of the flare.

Seeing that, Wisana threw it up in the air right away.

PONG!!

What should have happened was that the flare exploded into a vivid spark that would send a clear signal in the sky to the support unit to come into the area and help them.

But why did the flare that Wisana just threw only release a small cloud of smoke, before dissipating in the air in the blink of an eye like that?

“That wasn’t the signal flare. Come on, throw the right one up now.”

Shin snapped out unexpectedly.

“No,” Wisana yelled. “I got only one flare from May. That should be the right one. But why wasn’t it a single flare?”

Wisana was confused, too, because Maysa should not have given him the wrong item...

What was that flare with a little smoke for anyway? It was not possible to give any sound or visual signal to their support unit to come at all!

“Master,” Suddenly, Jinnie spoke up aloud, sounding like she was panicking about something. “That wasn’t a signal flare, but a com-jammer flare, Master. Its purpose is to release a jammer signal out in the area, making every communication channel unavailable.”

Cut off communication channels?

Wisana and Shin both raised their eyebrows at Jinnie’s words right away.

It meant that not only could they not reach the support unit for help, but they also lost their communication channels completely, so they were unable to reach the main force as well...

And all of this was because of this one flare.

After thinking about this, the guys clenched their jaws, realizing what was going on now. The flare totally was not made by Maysa. She had to get it from someone else, and it had to be an order through her to use it for signaling as planned.

And that someone could not possibly be anyone else, but...

“Damn you, William!!!”

Wisana bawled out loud.

He finally understood why that man insisted on sending him to the frontline like this, William really wanted him dead without any support he could reach for help. That was why he put Nam in another unit.

The man was never interested in this area in the first place.

Wisana was wondering why the one who wanted attention like that man did not ask to claim this area himself.

Because he had calculated that this place would be the most difficult place to handle.

And to make sure of that, he planned to have him use the signal flare to call out for support.

When there was never a support unit for them in the first place!!!

Screw that guy!!

“There’s no use complaining now. We don’t have to hide from the enemies anymore, Vincent. Let’s fight with everything we have, or we will be defeated surely.”

Shin said with a face that was as serious as Wisana’s.

“Yeah, I’ve got kinda pissed off right now anyway.”

He said and pulled the beanie hat out of his head instantly. He threw it on the ground, before stretching his neck left to right.

“I’ll attack from the air, and you wipe those on the ground out.”

“Yeah.”

Right after speaking, both turned their faces to the enemies’ army. They knew that whining right now would not be any useful for them. Right now, their force was being surrounded by the enemies. And if they did not do anything, the entire force would be totally dead!!

“Then, I’ll go help Nuch, so you go...”

BANG!!!

And something happened unexpectedly.

Wisana did not finish his sentence when he heard something snapping in his brain. His body then became weak. His amber eyes were widening. And after he looked down at his chest, he realized, ...

He had been shot...?

His chest was shot through the back, but by what and from where?

“Vincent!!!”

BANG!!!

Shin was about to check up on the other, but in that second, there was another loud sound like an explosion coming to his ears as well. The tall man was stunned, feeling weaker instantly. He had been shot in the rib, and the bullet went through the other side, too.

No words came out of the guys’ mouths.

They both fell to the ground slowly, laying still there after their knees gave out.

“This ...can’t be. From where?” Wisana barely put his words in a sentence.

He got ambush shot...?

Without even realizing that he got one!

“These bullets are melting bone curse,” Shin said, while his eyes were glancing at the target. “Even though I have the skill to resist every type of curse, there’s still a curse like this to pierce through?”

Hearing that, Wisana glanced at the spot where he thought that the gunner was hiding.

It was a bit too hard to believe, but this was the fact.

“T ...that’s crazy. From the range of 3 kilometers?”

“Yeah, remember this well, Vincent,” Shin said. His body was trembling. “...T ...that’s the ability of the black bullets of Cataral. This range is probably his convenient range even.”

“...Nonsense. From 3 kilometers?”

After speaking that, those sharp amber eyes with extraordinarily good seeing sense caught a spark flashing from a mountain.

The mountain was extremely far from the area. And even though it was a rifle with the best scope in the world, there was no way that someone could aim and fire the target from this kind of distance.

“Right in our faces. Screw them.” Wisana whined with a withering voice.

----------------

And to the said distance, in the valley where Sven was standing. His deep-colored eyes were behind a digital scope that looked like a pair of glasses. His lips were curling up into a smile.

In his left hand, there was a magic bow that every part of it was made by pure element force. The hand, which was like the source of this light bow, was in a black glove that had a red crystal attached to it. His right arm which just released the arrows just now was moving back to his side slowly.

“Do you think that I’d let you do what you want so easily?” Sven spoke with a smile. “And do you really think that I’d fall for this kind of sloppy trick? Your stupid undercover plan can never fool me, Vincent, hunter Shin.”

After speaking, he cancelled his magic bow, making it turn to dust in the blink of an eye.

“Lavi’s interested in you, Vincent. So, I’ll let you slip this one time. Anyway, after taking kings down like this, now it is the real checkmate.”
