Chapter 366: Right In the Face, “From the range of 3 kilometers?!” Part II

Chapter 366: Right In the Face, “From the range of 3 kilometers?!” Part II

“Your baby’s reaction is fun.” The man said.

“Yeah, and you’re bullying a baby for fun, Tun.” Wisana turned to deepen his voice at his friend, before turning back to his child again. “There, there, little Mo. Don’t be a whiny, or I’ll get angry with you.”

Hearing that, the little girl stopped short right away, because her father’s expression was obvious that he started feeling upset now. So, Mona Lisa could only look down and nod in understanding grudgingly.

“Good girl. We will fight together next time. Today, you’re just not ready yet.”

That was once again that Mona Lisa nodded witheringly. After that, Wisana smiled at Jinnie and ended the connection right away. Then the gang cracked into amused laughter, even Shin who was always quiet could not help but turn his face away to smile as well.

“You should let her out to throw a tantrum some time though,” Tunwa said. “At least it’s been confirmed that she really got a destroyer scream.”

“But the problem is that it will destroy us as well, jerk.”

Wisana argued with a weary face.

“Stop messing around now. It’s almost time.”

BANG!!

The sound of someone slapping on a table was heard loudly outside a temporary tent, making many players around there jump and look at the tent in unison. And then, they had to look away immediately though. Maybe that was because there were a man and a woman standing in front of the tent with a look in their eyes that implied, “Leave this alone.”

“I never expected that your guild wouldn’t like this either. I thought there was just my boss who likes picking fights with other people.”

The owner of this annoying voice was the man who was standing in front of the tent. He had green hair that was set to point upward, looking like a broom. His tall, agile body was in a white tank top and camouflage pants.

“Not picking a fight, he just does as he likes.”

The woman standing next to him replied. She was Emwika, Lavi’s right hand. And right now, she looked just as fed up as the other.

“How about you,” Emwika said with a plain face. “It’s almost kick-off now. Why are you not going out to the battle, too, or you’re told to stay in the base as well? It’s your thing to pick a fight with other people, isn’t it?”

“You have such a sassy mouth as usual, gorgeous.” The one with a lawn hairstyle grinned widely. “You didn’t change from when we were in the same party at all. I guess, even Lavi can’t fix your smart mouth either, huh?”

“Isn’t that you, too?” Emwika retorted. “Marcus probably never teaches you to shut your mouth either. Oh, I forgot, he’s the same type as you, those who have such a big mouth.”

Hearing that, Tryne burst out laughing.

“You really haven’t changed at all, Em. God, when will you ever learn to speak nice to me for once? At least, we have...”

A-HEM!

Emwika cleared her throat out loud like a warning to the other to shut his mouth right now. The man seemed amused by her reaction quite a lot, but he acted to hold his hand up to zip his lips shut, looking like he was mocking her about something that only the two of them understood.

“How’s the army on your side doing?” Tryne asked.

“It’s fine.” The prudent one replied briefly.

“How fine is it? Is anyone sent to fight in the frontline?”

Hearing that, she shook her head slightly in reply before sighing.

“Sven said that it was too risky. It’s true that my guild has many high-ranked players, but we’re not suitable for areas capturing battles. So, he told us to stay in the base for now.”

“That’s good news for the red army.” Tryne grinned delightedly. “So, it means that the genius kid will continue on being the secret weapon of our army. And Lavi, too, it’ll be a little bit too soon for the guy to fight in the frontline, do you think so? He’s the number one player anyway.”

“It’d be good if he understood it like you do.”

Emwika let out a long sigh, crossing her arms around her chest, looking tired.

“After he knew that he wouldn’t be in the frontline in the beginning, he got very displeased that he had to come to Sven for an explanation. My leader is just so stubborn.”

Listening to her, Tryne shook his head with the most amused smile.

“How’s that different from mine?” He spoke. “Our guild is banned from being in the frontline in the first battle as well. The man said that if it was about destroying the other army, we’d be the first to be called to. But since it’s about capturing an area, an attacking guild like us has to stay in the base just like yours.”

The quiet woman let out a chuckle from her throat, before glancing at Tryne’s face for the first time. Then the two caught eye like they were implying something to the other.

“That’s the reason why Marcus dragged you here, at Sven’s office tent, huh?”

“True that.” The man shrugged.

“I hope this will be sorted out. At least they’re all ones of the four gods. If they’re not too high on their ego, there shouldn’t be any problems.”

“I can’t accept this, you nuthead!!”

Right after her words, a loud, furious shout came from inside the tent, making the two look at each other and sigh in unison. They whined in a withering voice, saying,

“No, that’s not going to happen.”

----------------

“What does it mean about you not letting us fight in the frontline, huh, Sven?!”

The roar was from Marcus, the tall man with red hair that was kept in a simple braid today. He was placing his hands on a large desk as his face looked furious. Unlike the other one who was sitting on the other side of the desk. The man, who was known as the black bullet of Cataral, did not even bother to look Marcus in the eyes. His sharp eyes were reading his information window like he did not hear the voices around him at all.

“Are you just being stubborn, or is your brain too full of yourself, so it doesn’t want to comprehend other people’s reasons, Marcus?” Sven’s slowed voice rang like he could not care any less. “Don’t you know that in the war, we work as a big team, not to satisfy one?”

“No, I freaking don’t!!”

Marcus yelled resoundingly. In fact, yes, he did understand Sven’s point. But he just could not accept that annoying face of the man!

“You can have my men do what you like, but I told you that I’d do what I please. What right do you have to stop me from fighting in the battle anyway?”

The pissed-off one was still stubborn as the calm one let out a long sigh. And the last one who had been quiet in the room like Lavi chose to cross his arms around his chest at a corner. He did not have an intention to say anything right now, just wanted to listen silently.

“Everything has a plan and steps, Marcus,” Sven said in a calm voice. “I think I’ve explained the reason why I asked you two to stay in the base already. It’s not the time for you to go out and fight.”
