Chapter 367: Right In the Face, “From the range of 3 kilometers?!” Part III

Chapter 367: Right In the Face, “From the range of 3 kilometers?!” Part III

“I think I’ve explained the reason why I asked you two to stay in the base already. It’s not the time for you to go out and fight.”

Hearing those words, Marcus made a huh in his throat, before slamming his hand on the desk again.

“Who cares about what you asked? What I want the most is to go out and kill that Vincent boy, breaking his corky manner down. Who are you to stop me?”

“Who am I?” Sven repeated in a raised voice. “Are you misunderstanding something, Marcus? This wasn’t a simple favor when I told you to stay back. It was an order.”

After speaking, those red sharp eyes looked up right into the other’s right away, making Marcus stop short, never expecting that the other would hit back burningly like this. After that, he smiled widely, before letting out a throaty laugh.

“An order?” He repeated in an amused voice.

After that, his fist was thrown directly at the other without warning at all. At the same time, Sven moved just as quickly. His hands summoned a bow out with a magic arrow drawn on the string, ready to fire anytime.

The movements of these two were already fast, but the faster one was the other man who had been quiet all along. Lavi got between them quickly like a wind. One of his hands simply took Marcus’s punch, while the other was gripping around Sven’s wrist, not letting the man release the arrow!

“The war hasn’t even started yet, and you two turn to bite each other already, huh?” He said in a voice that sounded like a laugh. “I was totally right to come in here and observe your reactions. Like, damn, if the other army saw that we’re splintering this bad, they would think that we were so easy to beat for sure.”

Hearing that, both Sven and Marcus looked away from each other without saying a word. Then, the one who came in to stop them cracked into a loud laugh and let go of their hands, finally.

“Come on. Why are you fighting each other?” He said in a delighted voice. “Marcus, you should listen to Sven’s reasons. What he said makes sense. Also, I believe that the other army will not send Vincent in the first battle, too. It’s too risky to do that, like it is for us as well.”

After that, Lavi turned to look at Sven.

“You, too. Try choosing better wording to explain your reasons. At least we’re on the same team now, and of course, we have the same goal, which is to win. Then would we pick a fight with each other to benefit the other side?”

“It wouldn’t be a problem for me if there wasn’t some air head around in the team. A pawn that is unusable isn’t different from trash, you know.”

Sven said in a slowed voice, making the eyebrows of the one who was insulted twitch!

“Who are you calling an air head, huh?!”

“Alright, alright.”

That was once again that Lavi had to push Marcus’ chest harshly, making him back away.

But his eyes were still staring at Sven.

“If it’s about strategy, I trust you on that, Sven.” He said smilingly. “But you need to learn to trust us as well. If you need someone to eliminate a large crowd of enemies, the first guild that you think of will be the Dominion guild anyway. So, you might have to respect Marcus more, because the guild will play a significant role in this war. Don’t forget that the other guild has the Bunny Burner guild which is good at defensive play style as well.

Sven made a huh sound in his throat like he did not like Lavi’s words that much, but what this guy said kind of had a point.

“You, too, Marcus. What Sven said was right. Everything you do, you have to do it according to processes.” Lavi smiled widely. “Also, this is not the right time for us to battle with Vincent.”

“Don’t use the word us, because he belongs to me only!”

Marcus shouted, making the listener crack into laughter before he sighed.

“That’s right, Marcus. What is the fun of going to fight him right now when we can wait until he improves his skills a bit first? You know it, too, don’t you? The more that guy fights, the better he gets.”

Listening to that, the other two men stopped short right away. Both Marcus and Sven glanced at Lavi in unison. Only the look in Sven’s eyes turned stiff.

And Marcus started smirking.

“You’re right, Lavi.” He said in a war-thirst voice.

“So, you understand now, right? It’s not going to be satisfying to beat him right now. Vincent isn’t a match for us. It’s not too late to wait until he improves his skills a bit, isn’t it?”

Marcus did not say anything in reply. He was just smiling, making a throaty laugh.

“Fine.” He spoke up softly. “I’m going to let you have this for today, Sven. But next time, don’t expect that I will tolerate this. Even though it’s you, I can beat to the ground easily still.”

“Huh.”

Sven chuckled in his throat at the same time Marcus walked out of the tent and yelled to get Tryne, his close man to follow him off. Lavi let out a long sigh, before glancing and smiling at Sven right away.

“You’re still bad with words, as usual.”

Lavi pointed out in an annoying voice that made the listener rub between his eyebrows that were knitting themselves together now. The tall man sat down again, before letting out a soft sigh.

“I always knew that this guy is crazy, but I never thought that he would be idiotic as well!”

Sven shouted resoundingly like he wanted to release the boiling mood inside him for once. If this were anyone else, he would never have let them see his furious mood or him shouting like this. However, Lavi was an exception.

Maybe that was because the two used to be friends before.

“Come on. I understand that guy though because I want to go to the frontline as well. But I couldn’t disagree with what you said, even Em agreed with you, too.”

“Huh. ...Your smart mouth adviser?”

Sven said sarcastically. Lavi could not help but think, “And how’s she different from you?”

“Anyway, it’s good that Marcus finally understood this,” Lavi said smilingly. “Well, then, I’ll go find a nice spot to watch the opening battle of the war a bit. Just in case there’s something interesting happening.”

The small one said with a smile, before preparing to walk out of the tent as well.

“Wait, Lavi.”

But Sven was the one who held the other back. His voice deepened, making the one who was called pause.

“I agree with you, you know, about Vincent,” Sven said in a stiff voice. “About how that guy gets stronger every time he fights, remarkably stronger even.”

Hearing that, the smaller one turned to give the other a big smile.

“And?” Lavi asked.

“But there’s something I disagree with, that we should let him improve with his skills.” Sven’s expression did not show any emotion at all. "This man is a monster, Lavi. Maybe, he would be beyond you. So, if we’re still going to let...”

“Sven.”

He did not finish his sentence, because Lavi interrupted. His voice was normal like nothing had happened, but his eyes looked obviously furious.

“No one butts in and messes with my target, not even you, do you understand?”
