Chapter 342: The Night Before War Part II

Chapter 342: The Night Before War Part II

“This airship is one thing. But I don’t know why we got dragged to this stupid party after the meeting like this when the guests on the party lists will be killing each other in a few days.”

He said, holding his hand out to show how weary he was.

“I heard that the party was traditionally arranged before the war. So, I think it’s just another nonsense from the GMs.”

Wisana said, before glancing outside the window. The view he saw was the indigo sky with a lot of white clouds, showing him that the room they were in right now was the same level as the clouds!

This was after the meeting was over. GM Thada announced that everyone in the meeting hall was invited to the evening party that was hosted on this airship and that the ship would be taking them to Tristan Capital and would arrive the next morning.

At first, he was going to decline the party’s invitation, because he was worried about Mona Lisa who was being taken care of by Miss Stella right now. But it was Maysa who dragged him abroad and said that it was good manners for an ace guild to attend the party.

So, he grudgingly squeezed himself through the crowd and the journalists outside Athenia Tower to the airport and got on the airship. It was a very large ship. Looking from the outer design, he thought it was for transportation only without any weapon installed. It looked surprisingly huge from the outside already, but it was even more surprising inside with more than 500 guest rooms and each room was so large that even a 5-star hotel room could not even compare. For example, the one his guild was sitting in right now.

“The GMs just dragged us on a flying ship to some party, and just disappeared without any explanation.”

Tunwa continued, sounding annoyed because he wanted to go back to the camp so badly.

“Well, that choosing sides thing isn’t over yet, the GMs have to stay and take care of the rest of the guilds first.”

Maysa replied, moving her information window for everyone to look at. What was showing on the screen was a live broadcast from in front of Athenia Tower where other players who were not from an ace guild chose their side in the war.

“Also, the party starts in the evening.” Maysa continued, “I think that is when the Thada guy will give us the details about how many guilds are on our side. So, let’s relax for now.”

She said, before closing her screen and standing up again.

“We have many hours until the party starts. Let’s separate and rest in your rooms. I’m so exhausted today, especially from someone here.”

Hearing Maysa’s words, every one of them looked at each other and shrugged a little, while Wisana was laughing “Hehe” so dry like usual.

“That’d be nice. I was so sleepy at the meeting hall.” Tunwa said as he took his guild’s black jacket uniform off.

“I’ll go take some rest as well. I heard that we have to wear formal dress, too. Thinking about it already creeps me out.”

Nuchjaree said with a strange, withered face. And seeing that, Tunwa burst out laughing right away.

“Right, you don’t like wearing skirts.”

“Yeah, that’s the last thing I’d want to do in my life.”

Nuchjaree said with her shoulders dropping. And Maysa saw that, so she smiled amusedly, before walking up to pat her shoulder smilingly.

“So, get ready for the last thing you’d want to do in your life today. Because every woman from the Nemesis guild will be dressed properly for the party.”

“I knew you would say that.”

Nuchjaree said in a weary voice, before starting to walk out of the room after Maysa said, “See you later.” And in that moment, Nuchjaree glanced at Warunya who had been strangely quiet all the time on board.

“Orn, are you okay?”

She asked with concern because her friend had been like this since they left the tower. Warunya was only spaced out as her eyes looked outside the window all the time.

“...Huh ...uh, I am. Just thinking about stuff.”

Warunya replied with a smiley face.

“Are you sure? You’ve been like this since we left the meeting hall. You met someone you knew?”

“No, it’s nothing, really.”

The one who got asked was waving her hand around in denial, making the other narrow her eyes suspiciously.

“Are you sure?” Nuchjaree repeated.

“Yes, I am. Why would I not? ...Come on, let’s go rest. I’m so tired.”

She said, then the girls left the room. After that, Maysa walked to Wisana who was sitting on the bed with a more relaxed posture.

“Na, you take a rest as well, okay?” She said, smiling.

“Yup. I think I’ll take a nap in a bit.”

“Um, that’s good. Save your energy for the evening.” She said and held up her hand to touch his hair gently. “You did well this morning if we let alone how you impulsively picked a side like that.”

“Yeah, yeah, you won’t get over that, will you?” Wisana said, giving her a delightful smile. “You take a rest, too. And please take care of Nam for me. I don’t know why, but she’s kept herself alone in her room since we got on the ship.”

Listening to that, Maysa forced up a wry smile.

“She’s probably shocked from seeing Shin in that condition.”

“...”

Wisana was speechless. He could only let out a soft sigh. A part of him wanted to be glad that the guy would finally stop hanging around his sister. But the other part, he started thinking that it was not so satisfying anymore, because his sister seemed to be so sad about it.

“The good thing is that the guy is on our side though,” Wisana said with a dry smile.

“It’s not like you’re angry that Shin suddenly decided to join that guild, too, right?” Maysa asked.

“No, why would I be? He’s not my boyfriend. But I would if it were you, tough.” He said jokingly, making the listener giggle. “Anyway, just let those two talk it out.”

Hearing that, Maysa smiled sweetly right away.

“Aren’t you going to give your sister a hand in this? You’re normally very protective of your sisters, aren’t you? Are you really Na?”

The one who had his face cupped in her hands made a loud snorting sound out of his throat.

“I’m not butting in doesn’t mean that I’ll let him have her or anything. But they’re grown-up adults already. They should deal with their problems themselves. I don’t want to get involved in it.”

Seeing how this nice brother was grumpy, Maysa smiled delightedly. She caressed Wisana’s cheek softly, before nodding and walking out of the room. The two guys who owned the room were left there before they turned to look at each other smilingly.

“I’ll be right back,” Tunwa spoke.

“Where are you going?”

“I just want to explore the airship a little, since we don’t get to ride it every day. Do you want to come?”

Hearing the question, Wisana let himself down in the bed defeatedly right away. He waved his hand at his friend as his reply for “Pass.” The other shrugged slightly after he saw that, before walking out of the room as well.

So, right now, Wisana was left lying comfortably in the middle of the bed. He spread his legs and arms out in the most relaxed way. Acting as Vincent was quite exhausting. Apart from keeping his looks good, the most difficult part was dealing with being the center of attention of the people around him.

Especially with that Marcus guy.

That electricity pole was very irritating. All he ever did was try to start a fight with him.

He thought, before slipping a laugh when he thought back to when Maysa insulted that guy during the meeting event. When his girlfriend got angry, she really saw a lion as a puppy and really took all the confidence from that Marcus guy away.

KNOCK! KNOCK!
