Chapter 339: Choose a Side Part IV
Chapter 339: Choose a Side Part IV
“Alright. It’s time to pick a side.”
Wisana spoke up cheerfully, while Maysa was trying to raise her hand in objection right away.
"Wait, Na, hold on a second.” She hurriedly called out to him. “We need to make the decision carefully about which one’s right for us. Also, we’re one of the aces, if we choose it randomly, it’s kind of,”
“Don’t worry. I have it all calculated. May. Trust me on this.”
BEEP!
A few seconds after Thada finished speaking. There was a guild’s name appearing on the screen that was divided into two parts: red and blue. It was so fast in the way that they barely had the time to even think about planning any war strategies.
The guild’s name was, ...Nemesis.
Appearing on the red side, red pirate.
That was all to make everyone in the meeting room start making a sensational sound in unison. They were surprised at how fast the guy chose his side. Because last time, it took around 20 minutes for each of them to decide their army!
But this Vincent guy did it within a few seconds.
They were not sure if they should call him overconfident or a madman now!
“You silly, what have you done?!” Maysa snapped at him in a high-pitched voice, looking like she was about to tear up. “Don’t you realize that this is totally suicide? We were supposed to choose who we’d like to be with. But what you’ve done is like the invitation for the rest of them to gang up on our asses!”
“Come on. Trust me. I’ve calculated this.”
“Calculated? What exactly are you talking about?” Maysa bawled at him.
“Well, I was thinking, if there was something suitable for the Nemesis, it had to be a red color. Also, the red area included our guild’s camp. Too, so.”
“You idiot!!”
Maysa yelled, actually tearing up now.
But the best friends off the stage were laughing out resoundingly loud, making everyone look at them.
“He did it again. Did you hear that? He chose it because he likes the red color. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.”
Tunwa was slapping his knee, unable to hold his laugh back.
“KIKIKIKI, ...how could a man be silly out of the scale like this?”
Nuchjaree was curling around her stomach right now, wheezing so hard that her ribs hurt.
Meanwhile, Warunya hurriedly tried to stop them, because there were so many people looking at them as well. But Waree did not show any emotion on her face. She was just glancing at the man who was sitting not very far from her.
He was sitting still with the red-haired girl clinging to his arm all the time.
“Na’s chosen his side, so which are you going to choose?” She spoke softly.
While that group of friends were still laughing, Thada smiled slightly as he turned to look at Wisana.
“So, Mister Vincent of the Nemesis guild will be joining the red side, right?” He asked again to be sure.
“Wait, hold on, can we pick again?”
Maysa was trying to object, but it was too late. The powerful laughter of Marcus came to interrupt her.
“That’s great, Vincent!” He growled out resoundingly. “Without hesitation, you have picked the land to put your grave in so quickly! Then, I’ll choose...”
BEEP!
Suddenly, there was a sound of someone pressing the button to confirm their side again. However, it was not the Dominion guild of Marcus, but it was someone else who could get the sensation out quite a lot.
“Aaa-Haaaaaaaa!! That was a good nap. I was almost too late to choose a side.”
There was a loud yawning sound coming from the small man who had been sleeping on the opposite side of Wisana. He was wearing a grey beanie with the letter L painted on the front.
“Hey, Lavi, don’t just be irritating right after you wake up. Go pick the red side!”
Marcus yelled out of displeasure, while the smaller one who had just woken up from his meeting nap was yawning, turning to smile at the larger guy right away.
“What? You’re going to choose the blue side as well?” He asked smilingly. “Then, we’ll be on the same team again, right? Please have me under your care, boss.”
Lavi said with a smile, making the bigger one’s blood boil up.
“Huh? It’s not like I want to be on the same side with you, after I tear that Vincent boy into pieces, you’ll be next. Damn it. Sucks to have you here.”
Marcus shouted out of irritation, making everyone in the room quiet. However, the small man in a beanie was smiling softly, as he sent a sharp stare to Marcus in a way that made him pause.
It was the look in the eyes that put this meeting table under the stressful atmosphere in the blink of an eye. After this man woke up, many things seemed to be completely different, especially Wisana, who was gazing at the small man.
“Don’t be greedy, Marcus. I know you want to fight Vincent to death.” Then he paused for a moment, before looking at Wisana intensely. “But there’s not just you, who wants to make him bleed.”
After his words, a bright smile came across the man’s face.
His facial features looked young with those sharp shiny black eyes.
And his smile made Wisana’s lips part a little unintentionally.
So, this was him, one of the four gods who was called the “God of Thousand Weapons, Lavi”. thinking like that, Wisana curled up a savage smile. It was a smile that gave Maysa, who was sitting beside him, a goosebump instantly...
“Na...?” She said with a sweat dropping.
“So, Marcus.”
The man named Lavi spoke up without even looking at Marcus at all.
“You have to choose between fighting me or Vincent now.”
Then Lavi grinned, making the one who looked at him from afar choke a snorting sound out of his throat. Marcus looked Wisana in the eyes again.
BEEP!
A second later, the sound of choosing a side was heard again. And it seemed like the blue side had just got another member, which was the Dominion guild of Marcus!
After that, the one with dreadlocks curled up his lips into a brutal smile as well, before staring at Wisana.
“So, I choose you first, Vincent.” He pointed his finger at Wisana, then pointed his finger down. “And just you wait, Lavi. You’ll be the next one when the right time comes.”
Hearing that Wisana and Lavi caught eyes, before smiling similarly at each other and letting out a long sigh.
BEEP!
The sound of choosing a side came again, and this time it caused some sensation to the people in the meeting hall again, especially to the rest of the Nemesis members, of course. They could only gasp, speechless, especially Maysa.
The army that had just gained another member was ...the blue army.
And the guild that chose the side was the Cataral.
The guild of the Black Bullet, Sven!
“Woah, there’re three of the four gods’ guilds on the same side now.”
“So, the blue side has got it in the bag already?”
“Damn it. History’s going to repeat itself surely. Who would have been able to beat those guys?”
“Right, even though they’re the Nemesis.”
The comments and criticism started to get louder.
Meanwhile, Marcus and Lavi glanced at Sven, who just closed the screen in front of him and leaned back against the seat like there was nothing he had to care about here.
“Tch! There’re only those annoying ones.” Marcus cursed out of irritation.
Another one who did not seem pleased about it was the woman named Emwika, the chief of staff of the Pandora guild, who was sitting next to Lavi. She glanced at Sven, before pushing a sigh out of her nose harshly.
“It looks like you’ll have to work with that guy again, Em.” Lavi turned to whisper to her.
“Please stop reminding me of something so disgusting like that.” She snapped softly.
SMACK!!
And there was another sound heard resoundingly through the meeting hall. Of course, that was not the sound of someone hitting the choosing side button, but it was a sound of a mean slap in the flesh that made someone let out an “Ssss” sound through his gridded teeth.
“Trust you on that, you have it all calculated, huh? See where that takes us? Three out of the four gods on the same team, how would you handle that? You should have let them pick a side first!”
