Chapter 338: Choose a Side Part III

Chapter 338: Choose a Side Part III

Everyone got quiet instantly after Thada said that.

Because Thada was right. The staff would announce the names of those who had the crystals planted inside them, and that was the reason why they would surely become the target. And they would not be able to regenerate their HP or get any support skills from their allies.

So that meant they had to survive on their own...

Or they had to run and hide like Maysa was concerned about.

However, everyone in the meeting hall agreed that there were three players here who were very suitable for blending with the crystals. The first one was the sluggish one who was still taking a nap on the meeting table, the second one was that crazy muscular guy from the Dominion guild who was 100% sure now that he had to plant the crystal with him no matter what. Maybe that was the act of a leader, or he just wanted to draw other players to himself to spree the kills without even going out to do that.

And the last one always had a cheerful smile on his face. The owner of those amber eyes from the Nemesis guild. Because if asked who was good at surviving in the game, most people would think about Vincent guy first surely.

“Anyone has any questions about the holy crystals?”

Thada repeated, and everyone was quiet, a sign that they understood the crystal clearly now.

“Alright, so, to win the war, each army must destroy the other’s all three crystals down to win the war. If not, the war will not be counted as over, even if one army already takes over all the other army.”

The images on the screen were changing according to what Thada was explaining quickly before the picture of the world map came on the screen again.

“About the base areas for both armies, we’ve divided it to be the same size. The blue warrior’s army will take the northern and the western part. The red pirate’s army will take the south and the east. For the area in the middle right here, it doesn’t belong to any army in the first place. But you can -fight to own it right after the battle drums sound is heard, which is in the next two days, in game-time. ...Do you have any questions here?”

No one did. So, Thada nodded, before continuing to explain the next topic.

“And for the war time, we’ll count during the “war on” period only. It starts at 9 p.m. in the real-world time and ends at 6 in the morning. And that will be 5 days in game-time.”

Speaking until now, there was a timetable with some cute illustrations showing on the screen.

“After that, it’ll be “war break.” And during this period, the game-time will go with the real-world time in 1:1. Also, the holy crystals will disappear from the game temporarily, so no one can attack them during this time. So, this is the time when players can log off the game and go on with their usual lives without having to worry about the war.”

After he finished speaking, the picture on the screen was changed again. This time, it was the image of players fighting with a large caption on the top, saying, “War’s Events”.

“These are the events we have during the war we’ve arranged for you to make some funds,” he said, before smiling widely. “They are special events that will happen throughout the war period for both armies to join for fun. There will be various awards in each event as well, such as war hard wears, or some nice S racked items, depending on the event and time that we’ll randomly put them up as the awards.”

Then the screen changed again.

“...There will be many kinds of competitions during the War’s Events. It can be something like capturing the flag game, hunting items, or even killing a monster. And the staff will be the ones who design the events to be suitable for the situations and the strategic area. Also, the time and date of the war event is unpredictable, depending on the situations of the war at that time.”

After his words, the screen turned blank, before showing the first image that divided the army into the red side and the blue side with the logo of each army on the top of the screen.

“That was all the important details of the year’s crystal war. And everyone can learn more about the rest of the details on our website.”

Then there was some applause coming up for the pretty lecturer like Thada. He bowed a little, before walking back to the meeting table again.

“Next is the moment everyone’s been looking forward to.

Thada spoke up, making every noise in the meeting room quiet down again.

“It’s time to choose a side now.” He said with a smile. “And to do that, I’ll have the first 5 ace guilds choose first. These five guilds can choose to be on any side, or all on the same side as well. After that, we will average the ability stats of both sides to be as balanced as possible. So, there’s no one too overpower.”

Hearing him, everyone was silent right away.

“Huh! When the four gods were on the same side last time, the rest of the players in the game were on the other side and they were still completely defeated. So, what’ll happen if they’re all on the same side again this year with the Nemesis joining them as well? ...What a pointless war, damn it!”

A man spoke up like he was complaining to his friend, and he was sitting right behind Tunwa.

“Shhh! Quiet down. The Nemesis are sitting just in front of us.”

“I’m telling the truth though. If the four gods really are going to team up with the Nemesis, then the result of the war is already obvious. Even if the rest of the players in the games join the war against them, there’ll be no way to win anyway.”

Hearing that the three Nemesis who were sitting there looked at each other, blinking. Especially Tunwa, he was forcing up a wry smile, wondering why those guys were this hopeless.

“After the first 5 guilds finish choosing the side, the 6th–10th ace guild will be the next ones to choose,” Thada said. “And from the 6th guild and down, we’ll average your guild stats by a computer system. And if your guild average stats don’t match with the side you choose your guild will be put on the other side without any conditions.”

Thada’s words made everyone let out a sigh of disappointment in unison...

HRRR! Last time, the Thada guy said this as well. And everyone got all depressed when the four gods went straight up to join the war on the same side. That was why everything was doomed.

“Anyway, the leaders of the top five guilds, please consult with your followers thoroughly and choose the side you’d like.”

After Thada finished speaking, there was a small, light blue digital window appearing in front of Wisana for him to choose between red and blue. There were also details about each army like the base area, the dungeon they had, and more of this kind of information.

“Alright. It’s time to pick a side.”
