Chapter 326: Babysitter Part V
Chapter 326: Babysitter Part V
“Wait, ...are you mad at me about something?”
The one who was asked that question made a snorting sound out, before turning her face away, leaving the man raising his eyebrows out of confusion. Then he glanced at his sister who seemed to be clingy with her latest niece so much right now.
And the sister just shrugged at him in reply, not knowing what was going on either.
Seeing that, Wisana shook his head with an amused laugh.
“Could it be that she sulks, because I give more attention to my child?”
The cheek one turned to ask the guys, sending them slipping out a chuckle.
“Who sulks again?” Maysa snapped.
“If you’re not the one who’s sulking right now, can you hold our daughter, Babe?”
After speaking, Wisana grinned widely, before getting up to take Mona Lisa from his sister, before putting the girl on Maysa’s lap. The one who had to play a mother looked up at her boyfriend like she was asking what the man was trying to do right now.
“Ouch, Ouch, Ouch, my hair!”
Maysa had not done anything yet, and it seemed like Mona Lisa was not fond of this mother so much. So, the girl managed to pull Maysa’s hair with all her strength so that the older one had to lean down to her hand to reduce the yanking force.
“Hey, why are you doing that, Mo? Don’t be mean to your mother.” Wisana yelled out aloud.
The little Mona Lisa seemed to not like Maysa a lot. So, the more Wisana tried to stop her, the harder she pulled his mother’s hair, while Maysa was trying to keep these tiny hands off her...
“Ow!! Na, Na, Na, ...she’s biting my hand now. Help do something!”
This time, not only was she pulling Maysa’s hair, but she was also biting her hand as well, troubling Wisana to pull his daughter away from Maysa instantly. Because this girl totally hated this mother!
“What the hell!” Maysa snapped.
“Er, I guess that maybe she’s not used to her new mother, yet,” Wisana said with a completely wry smile. And Mona Lisa was wriggling moodily toward Maysa.
“Not used to me my ass. She almost bit my finger off. And why doesn’t she have a problem with Nam?”
“You’re not alone, May.”
Tunwa spoke up in a stiff voice, before holding his hand up for Maysa to see. And there were traces of sharp teeth of someone pressed into his skin deeply like a wound.
“When you passed out, I tried poking his girl, too. And the result of that was me getting bitten like you can see.”
After speaking, Tunwa glanced at his freaking best friend right away.
“So, is your child a girl or a dog to bite people around like this again?”
“A dragon.” Wisana reminded them.
“Yeah, right.” Tunwa agreed, sounding bored. “Hey, Ae, you should try this, too.”
The older one ordered Manoch, making him jump. The man with brown hair pointed his chin to Mona Lisa. Manoch swallowed his saliva down.
“I don’t think so. Who will be responsible for me losing a finger?”
“Come on. Just do it.”
Tunwa said, then held Manoch’s hand and pushed it in front of Mona Lisa. And that was all to make the girl lean forward to bite fully into his palm, making the lab rat scream out through the room!
“I told you I didn’t want to do that. My fingers are not Pocky for anyone to enjoy biting and chewing like this.” The one who got bitten whined, but Tunwa burst out laughing.
“I just hope you’ve got your child Rabies vaccine already, Na. It wouldn’t be funny if three of us sat and howled through the camp tomorrow.”
“I told you she’s a dragon, not a freaking dog!”
The father snapped, while Mona Lisa seemingly was enjoying bullying these helpless adults. And for Maysa, she looked quite weary, because her boyfriend had just brought another big issue into the guild again!
“But why is she fine with Nam?” Maysa repeated the same question.
“I don’t know either.”
Wisana shook his head, handing his child back to Waree to carry again. and that was like the confirmation that Mona Lisa seemed to love her aunt not any less than she loved her father. Right now, the little one was laughing delightedly after Waree leaned in to snuggle her again.
“My guess is that I might have the same scent as Wisana,” Waree said. “Well, this is it, May. She’s a dragon anyway. She probably hasn’t gotten used to strangers, yet. So, when she smells some similar scents, she might think that they’re friendly. And when she smells something strange, she’ll just take them as enemies.”
“That’s not fair.”
Maysa complained with boredom, while Wisana was smiling wryly.
“Come on, she’ll be familiar with you eventually, Babe.” He turned to give her a smile.
“I’m afraid I’d lose a limb or turn bald before that happens.” Maysa snapped. “But that’s not the point right now, Daddy. The point is what are we going to deal with this little girl? We totally can’t take her to the meeting with us, so what now?”
After hearing the question, the father was staring at his girlfriend as if asking for her sympathy. And Maysa, who was bullied just now, held her hands up defeatedly like she would rather not take a risk of getting herself hurt anymore. Then Wisana looked at Waree. This one was already giving him the begging look that implied whether she could volunteer to be the one staying and taking care of the girl at the guild or not.
“Don’t give me that begging look, Waree. You’re coming to the meeting with me. Are you crazy? How would you let the guild leader go alone, hm?”
“Well, I was just suggesting, Na. No is no, got it.”
She spoke like that, but it was obvious on her face that she regretted this so much.
“How about you find a babysitter for this girl, Na?”
Tunwa suggested. Everyone turned their eyes at him.
“I think that there has to be someone in our entire guild who can get along with your daughter, and you go ask them to take care of the kid. Problem’s solved.”
“Oh, Tun’s right,” Wisana spoke up agreeingly. “Hey, not bad, Tun. You really have a nice idea this time. I’ll give you a big bone treat later.”
“Not a dog!” He snapped.
“Who are you going to ask to babysit her? Not me though. I’ve already counted myself out.” Manoch hurriedly put up his disclaimer. “Anyway, most of our guild members are those “crazy nuts,” too, Bro.”
“Those including you?” Tunwa asked.
“Yeah, ...wait, no! Stop picking on me, Tun.”
“Oh, sorry, sorry.” The irritating one laughed cheerfully.
Meanwhile, Wisana held up his hand to touch his chin as he considered. He was figuring out the most suitable person to babysit his daughter. But damn, he just could not. And the reason was that his guild really was full of crazy nuts just like Manoch said.
“Anyway, we have to do something right now,” Wisana said. “Ae, go ask those girls who seem nice to come here. I think I have to set up an interview to select a babysitter for my baby urgently before our ride to Dores arrives. Oh, and get Orn, too, but leave Nuch alone. She hated kids.”
“Yes, sir.”
Manoch launched himself out of the living room to do as his leader ordered obediently. Then Wisana turned to catch eyes with Tunwa wearily, without realizing that there was another pair of eyes gazing at him right now.
And before he knew it, Wisana already had sweat running down his cheek,
“Why are you staring at me, Babe?”
