Chapter 320: Dragon Bible Part III
Chapter 320: Dragon Bible Part III
“Well, thank you.”
Then he grinned, while Lex nodded in acknowledgment.
“For the class skills, I’m going to give you three skills for now, which are Dragon Command, Dragon Contact, and Dragon Body. ...All these skills are passive (*Skills that players did not have to cast, they would be automatically activated.), and for many hundreds of other skills, you must unlock them yourself.”
“No problem. I might be like this, but I’m quite good at unlocking skills, you know. Though 90% of the time, I did it out of a fluke, but still.”
Wisana said in a delighted voice. And hearing that, Lex turned to giggle with Texela, feeling amused about how playful the man unlimitedly was.
“For the abilities of dragon master class,” Lex continued. “We don’t limit our class to only physical attack or magical attack skills, to be proficient in melee or range. Because our class’s abilities are supportive to most styles of players. The most important thing is the trustful teamwork between the players and their dragons in command. They have to get along in movements, magic skills, and battle strategies perfectly.”
After speaking, Lex curled up a slight smile, before opening his information window with many graphics on it again.
“This is the table I made to make it easier for comparison.” He then pointed to the screen. “Our class will have more winning rate in one-on-one battles with other classes, because of our combining fighting techniques, with or without our dragon. But there’re some classes that have an advantage over us as well, like those classes with the piercing armor skills. And that is because every dragon has high armor points, the attacks from those players will be stronger when they counter enemies with a lot of armor points. So, you might want to avoid this kind of player in a fight.”
After listening to that, Wisana made a snorting sound right away.
Attacking through armor, huh...
The first name that popped up in her head could not be anyone else, but Shin!
“Especially.” Lex went on. “Those dragon slayer class players. If you have to fight them, the first thing you have to do is to put your dragon back in your inventory as fast as you can, or your dragon will be killed in the blink of an eye.”
The listener pressed his lips together and let out a harsh sigh, before nodding in reply.
“Understood,” Wisana said.
“That’s good. And about other details, you can learn them from the book I just sent into your inventory window later.”
After that, Lex smiled slightly, before snapping his fingers again. This time, there was a thick book with a picture of a shiny silver dragon, looking outstanding on the front cover.
“And this item right here, Mister Vincent,” Lex said. “Is the most important item of a dragon warrior. It’s called the Dragon Bible, the book that will help you a lot in fighting from now on.”
“Dragon Bible?” Wisana raised his eyebrows.
“That’s right. The immense information about dragons is put in this one book, including the profile of every dragon in the Pride world, how to get those raw materials to make a dragon warrior’s item, the proper equipment you need, or even a radar to detect a dragon. In other words, this is the encyclopedia that can answer every question you have as a dragon warrior.”
Wisana’s eyes got bigger. He hurriedly held his hand out to take the thick book instantly.
“It’s really that cool?” He asked.
Texela even laughed at the cheeky one’s action which was not different from a kid getting a new toy at all.
“It’s even better than you think,” Lex said. “Try asking it something, for example, information about a dragon you’ve fought, or something like that.”
“Try asking, ...uh, ...Lord Inferno.”
That was the first name that came across his mind. And it did not take long after the book heard his question. It started floating out of his hands before the pages started turning furiously. And then they stopped in front of him.
GROOOOOOWL!!!
A second later, a resounding familiar growl was heard all over the room. That was followed by an image of that red fire dragon that appeared from the book in the form of a 3D hologram, breathing fire at Wisana’s face. And that made him draw back a little still.
“Woah, it looks common, but it’s more hi-tech than I thought. So cool.”
He said, looking at the book closely and seeing that there was a lot of information flooding into that page about Lord Inferno’s weaknesses, strong points, movements, attack patterns, and the radar that was pointing to its current location, which was Lord Inferno dungeon, the new dungeon that was built to be the home of this lizard especially!
“Inny’s always been an aggressive kid, huh.”
Suddenly, Texela spoke up with such a gentle voice that made Wisana pause and look up at her.
“Inny who?” He repeated.
“He’s my youngest son. You really had to ask?” she said, smiling softly at the image of Lord Inferno. “Well, that’s how a fire dragon is supposed to be. If he isn’t hot-tempered, He wouldn’t be like a man. But after he got defeated by you twice in a row, he seems a lot more well-behaved, you know.”
Seeing the mother speaking of her son with a proud face like that, Wisana felt a shiver running down his spine somehow. She probably did not know how badly he beat her son up, especially in the latest battle!
“The information is well-detailed, right?”
Lex got them back to the topic, and Wisana nodded in agreement.
“Yeah, it’s great. It even shows the current location of a dragon. This will be so convenient for dragon hunting.” Wisana said and then grinned. “Anyway, does it have every dragon’s information? I mean like, every single one in Pride.”
“That depends on you.”
Lex smiled widely, pointing at him. Wisana made a sound out of his throat like, ‘Huh?’
“It doesn’t have every dragon’s information in the first place. But when you see a new dragon with your eyes, the book will scan and collect all the information about that dragon for you.”
“Okay.” The listener drawled. “So, it means that I have to go collect the book data by myself, right?”
“Right,” Lex said. “Oh, there’re some special quests like this for our class at the Quests office in each town as well. The more you collect the dragon’s profiles, the more items and EXP you will get as the reward, according to the quest’s details. If the dragon you find is rare, the reward item you get will be better as well. And that encourages the dragon warriors to search and collect information about more than 300 dragon species in the game, do you think so?”
Wisana nodded in agreement with a smiley face, thinking about asking Tunwa to go on a dragon-finding trip with him to complete the book. That would be weirdly fun.
“Well, you were talking about making items earlier,” Wisana asked. “Our class can make items, too? I mean, making like those from item producers’ classes?”
“That’s right.” Lex smiled broadly. “There’re many items we can make for ourselves to use. And those items will be special items that only we can use as well.”
Listening to that, Wisana nodded out of amazement. That was a new ability that he had never thought about learning before. Because crafting and creating stuff was really not his thing. Even though he was an artist, he totally sucked at the kind of work like sculpture or structure designing so much. For the one who was an expert at this, he got to give it to Tun.
“Try opening the book to the items pages, the keyword is ‘items to create’.”
