Chapter 321: Dragon Bible Part IV
Chapter 321: Dragon Bible Part IV
“Try opening the book to the items pages, the keyword is ‘items to create’.”
Hearing Lex say that, the cheeky one pouted his mouth a little, before saying the keyword. After that, the book’s pages started turning fast again until they stopped at the page that had many pictures of items and a lot of raw materials and compounds showing on there.
“As you can see, there’re around 20 items you can make yourself. Each of them is copyrighted by me. So, these items can be made by the player from our class only, and some of them can only be used by us as well.”
After speaking, Lex pressed a picture on the page, making a slow voice of a woman, which sounded like a crappy virtual assistant, speak up.
“Dragon flare.”
Hearing that, Wisana paused.
“I think you might want to change the book’s audio urgently. It sounds so depressing, like a cheap GPS!”
Wisana said harshly. Maybe he got used to the sweet voice of Jinnie too much. That was why this awful, slowed voice was unbearable for him.
“Aw, don’t be mean, Mister Vincent. Thong Yip and Thong Yod did their best in voicing, you know.”
I knew it!!
That was why it sounded so familiar.
Because it was by the twins with the slogan, “Smile and the world ends.”
“Anyway,” Wisana cut it off, feeling fed up with this. “After pressing the item’s picture on the page, and then a voice and CG come up. Then what?”
Hearing that. Lex nodded and continued.
“You see this triangle icon under the picture? If you press it, there will be a tutorial video about making the item for you to watch. And if you follow the instructions accurately as given in the book, the success rate in making the item will be up to 95%”
The listener tried pressing a triangle button like he was taught, and there was a video popping up with the twins in it to demonstrate how to build the item. Leaving alone their slowed voices and faces like they had left all emotions in their egg, this tutorial video was not bad at all. It explained how to make an item very thoroughly in detail.
“Okay. I got it now.” Wisana nodded.
“Good.” Lex smiled widely. “You can learn about the items’ abilities and materials needed in building by yourself as well.”
"Okay."
“So, the rest of the details in the book don’t have anything much to do with. They’re mostly some fun facts to read in your free time, the recommended equipment that is suitable for our class, and some details about catching dragons, how to make a promised bond or something like that.”
“Understood.”
He said, closing the book with a soft thud sound, thinking to himself that he would bring this book to his beloved Maysa to read it instead. If he read it himself, his brain would explode out of his head surely!
“Then, there’s nothing left for me to explain to you anymore.” Lex opened his hands out with a big smile. “From now on, I’ll just wish you luck and hope that you will make a good reputation for our class. And remember, every dragon in the Pride world has become your ally now. If you’re to challenge them in combat or whatever, please do it with respect for the dragon, even if it’s a dragon pixie.”
“Copy that!”
Wisana said with a joyful smile, but in his mind, he thought that he would totally beat the crap out of a dragon right after he saw it again. The ugly dragon that was called Dragon Killer!!
“Yes, well, I’m glad to be one of your allies now.”
After that, Lex stood up and held his hand out. Wisana saw that and grinned right away.
“You might talk too much, you’re still an interesting person though.”
Wisana said, and then they shook hands perfunctorily. Meanwhile, Texela who was sipping her tea turned to smile at him, before giving him a brief speech.
“Good luck, my son. And take care of my grandchild well like you promised me as well.”
“Of course, Mae Ui.”
Then he winked annoyingly at her, making the female dragon shake her head amusedly.
After that, Wisana turned to signal Angie, before the little mage managed to finish up her tea and get up to follow Wisana out. But taking only a few steps, the tall man with his little daughter ahead of her paused, then turned to smile wryly at Lex guy once again.
“Er, do you still have some dragon flare left?” The cheeky one asked softly.
“Yes...?”
“Well, it’s just that I have to get back to my guild urgently. I have a meeting in Dores tomorrow, as you know. But I want to stop at the guild first if that’s possible.”
Hearing his voice and humble gesture like that, Lex chuckled right away.
“Well, even if I have one, you can’t use it anyway, Mister Vincent.” Lex said, while Wisana drawled his voice to sound like, ‘What?’ “To use the dragon flare, you need a secret code of the place you want to go like ‘Light of dawn,’ the code for it to teleport you back to my office. And to set the secret code for a place you want to go, you need to do it beforehand, while you’re in that place. If not, you won’t be able to use the dragon flare.”
The listener pouted instantly.
“What the heck. I’m running late back to the camp then. I’m totally going to get in trouble.”
Lex smiled, while he was shaking his head wearily.
“Don’t worry. I’ll have my people riding a dragon to drop you off at your camp. You won’t be late traveling with a dragon. Even flying from Dores to Aeneas only takes a couple of hours.”
After listening to that, Wisana made a ‘Woah,’ sound excitedly. Then a big smile came across his face like he found another fun thing to do.
“It’s really that fast? Can I try flying it myself, too?”
The sassy one asked excitedly, while Angie was shaking her head wearily.
“About that, I think you have to ask Thong Yod,” Lex said, before glancing at Thong Yod. “Please take the fastest dragon to fly Mister Vincent ‘s party back to their guild.”
“Yes, Master.”
The twin accepted, before bowing and opening her palm to lead the cheeky one who was carrying his daughter the way, with Angie tiredly following behind them. And Wisana seemed to be overjoyed right now, making the rest of the people laugh as they went away.
CLICK!
After that, the door of the living room was closed again, and both Lex and Texela looked into each other’s eyes knowingly. And then, it was Lex who let out a long sigh.
“Until now, you haven’t thought about telling him about it, huh, Tixy?” Lex asked.
“How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that?” The dragon snapped. “Anyway, why would I want to tell him about this kind of thing? To wait and let him find out about it by himself will be more fun.”
After speaking, she started laughing like she had just heard the funniest joke.
“You’re such a teaser. I’m afraid that it wouldn’t be fun at all when that actually happens. Also, this is not a small issue, you know. This kind of thing has never happened before either. And you’re not thinking about talking to your daughter at all?”
Hearing that question, Texela took a sip of her tea in the manner of a perfect beautiful lady.
“You won’t understand, Lex. It’s a woman’s thing.”
“As the class master, no, I don’t want to understand whatever this is at all. But your daughter is causing me a problem. Don’t you think that you should take responsibility for this, too?”
Texela smiled sweetly at him, before placing the teacup on the table.
“Because she’s my daughter, that was why I had to travel all the way to Drago Hild to talk to her thoroughly about it.”
Lex shook his head tiredly at her words.
“And what exactly did you talk to her to make everything turn out like this, huh?!”
“Well," She started with a knowing smile. “Just a girls’ talk. It’s been a while since she was stubborn with me, and I think that she’s so adorable like this. But anyway, I’ll be keeping an eye on her changing behavior closely, and I’m asking you to deal with her just once. She doesn’t show this kind of emotion often, does she?”
“That’s such irresponsibility of you to say that,” Lex said tiredly.
