Chapter 319: Dragon Bible Part II

Chapter 319: Dragon Bible Part II

“Don’t bother. She’d wake up and start throwing a tantrum, I’m afraid. I’ll handle that.”

After her words, the black-haired girl floated away from Wisana’s chest. But her tiny hands were still clinging to his shirt tightly so that he barely loosened those fists up in time. A second later, the little one was already floating in the air in front of Texela.

Her fair hand was caressing the smooth cheek of the girl, making her moan a little.

“She looks just like her mother.” She spoke in a cheerful voice. “With this unturned nose and these pumped lips.”

She finished speaking and looked at Wisana. He raised his eyebrows.

“But these eyes and brows are totally from your father.”

“Yes...?”

He did not even ask anything yet when the little girl floated back into his arms that he barely caught her in time. And then, it was like she found her favorite spot again. The girl buried her face in her father’s chest right away.

“Er, ...about what you said, from your father?” Wisana was about to repeat the same question.

“Yes, she meant you,” Lex said. “Texela already told you, didn’t she, that after a dragon is hatched by a player, the dragon will love and respect that player like their parents. Remember the potion Thong Yip made for you to drink before you started hatching the egg? That was called a blood transfer potion.

“Blood transfer?” Wisana and Angie said at the same time.

“That’s right. So, the name already explains it. It transfers your blood and genes to that egg. In other words, the potion mixed some of your characteristics with the dragon child inside the egg.”

After listening to that, he looked down at the little girl’s face right away.

Well, the child really looked a lot like him.

Especially the eyes, they were exactly like his like they came out of the same mold!

“So, briefly, this little girl is your daughter.

Texela said smilingly, making Wisana look at her confusedly.

“Take care of her well, at least as my granddaughter. If I find out that you treat her badly, I’ll swing you like that again until all your guts are out of your mouth.”

That made the guy flinch right away.

“Come on, Aunty! I’ll take it back.” The cheeky one yelled. “Your beauty doesn’t tone down your savageness at all, huh.”

“Aw, thank you for thinking that I’m beautiful by the way.” She said in a delighted voice.

“That was sarcasm!” Wisana snapped. “You didn’t have to tell me that though, I wouldn’t even let her have a bug bite anyway. I’m kind of torn about having her in a battle now, actually. I’m scared that she might get hurt.”

Hearing that, Texela laughed aloud, before shaking her head amusedly.

“I was kidding, little human.” She spoke. “I knew you would take care of her, and I didn’t even have to be worried about that. I see how you take care of this little one so well here. That’s why I trust my granddaughter with you.”

After she finished speaking, she turned to look at Angie, whose eyebrows were twitching intently.

“Take care of me well? This guy?” Angie retorted with a high-pitched voice. “I would agree with you if you said this guy annoyed me and bullied me all the time. But it’s not like I need a crappy noob man to take care of me anyway.”

“Watch it now, Angie. Wasn’t it this noob who dragged you out of Drago Hild? Without me, you could have been sent back to the hospital by now, little brat.”

“Don’t call me little brat!”

“I will, and what you’re gonna do with it?!”

“Alright, please stop fighting.”

Texela said with a little laugh in her voice, before using her special magic to pull these two sassy ones, who could pick a fight at any time and place, away from each other. After that, the two made a snorting sound out of their throats, before turning their faces away from the other.

“Anyway, I have trust in you, boy.”

Texela continued in a gentle voice, making Wisana look at her. After that, he nodded with a smile on his face.

“Yeah! I won’t let you down!”

“Good.” She accepted his promise delightedly. “In such a case, it means that you’re one of my children now, do you understand?”

“Huh, one of your children? Why?”

Wisana gasped confusedly. How come he suddenly got another mother?

“It’s normal. Mister Vincent.” Lex cut in, “The candidate who passes the class quests and becomes a dragon warrior will be regarded as a child of the great empress of dragons.”

“So, that means you, too?” Wisana asked.

“Well, yeah, me too.” Lex smiled widely.

“Even though he’s such an annoying son that gets on every nerve of mine,” Texela added.

Then, the three of them looked at each other and started giggling.

“So, you should stop calling me Aunty already, boy. From now on, I’ll only allow you to call me Miss Texela or Mother. Do you understand?”

The listener paused, giving the lady sitting in front of him a bright smile, making her tilt her head to the side confusedly.

“What are you smiling about?” She asked.

“Nothing much, really. It’s just that you sound like an old nun or something like that.” Then he laughed aloud. “Anyway, I understand it now, no Aunty. So, please have me under your care as well, Mae Ui.”

“...Mae Ui?”

Hearing that, she raised her eyebrows as she made a snorting sound out of her throat. But finally, he just shook her head at the cheekiness of her latest son. Anyway, to have this boy as a member of her dragon family seemed to bring a lot of fun things to her as well.

“So, have you named her, yet?”

Texela asked with a smile, pointing to the little girl who was sleeping deeply on his chest.

“Not yet. It’s been kind of a rush, so I didn’t have time to think about it yet.” Wisana answered.

“Well, then hurry up and come up with a name for her. Because in a while, you’ll have a lot to learn. Right now, she’s not different from a first-born child. You need to teach her to walk, to talk, and many more. It’ll be fun babysitting her.”

“Yeah.”

Wisana said diligently. And when he thought about what was going to happen next, he strangely became happy somehow. From now on, he would be taking care of this little kid closely. And there were many things he had to teach her, too, because it seemed like all she knew right now was the word “Papa.”

“So, don’t waste any more time, my son,” Texela said. “I heard that your friends are waiting for you, aren’t they? You should finish your business here and get back to them as soon as possible.”

Hearing that, Wisana looked up and smiled at her words.

That was the time Lex snapped his fingers with a loud, clear sound. Then, there appeared a pitch-black box with the logo of the dragon master class on the top.

“Here you go, Mister Vincent.”

Lex said in a lively voice as he handed the box to him. Wisana took the box and opened it without waiting for anyone to tell him to. And then he saw that there was a shiny silver round pocket watch with a dragon carved beautifully.

“A pocket watch?”

“That’s the symbol of the dragon warriors,” Lex said. “If you carry this thing, you’ll have the privilege as those VIP players in the games. It’ll give you much more access to services in towns. And you can use it to ask for special quests at the quest office in every town as well.”

Hearing that, Wisana whistled, keeping the watch in the pocket of his jacket right away.

“Well, thank you.”
