Chapter 315: Dragon’s Blood Ceremony (2) Part III
Chapter 315: Dragon’s Blood Ceremony (2) Part III
“Wrong. It’s not summoning the dragon to fight for you, but to fight side by side with you.” She said and nodded a little. Her voice was so gentle. “It’s not that one has to be leading in the front, but to move together understandingly, like partners who’ve known each other for a long time. That’s what a dragon master and their intimate dragon are like.”
Hearing the tone in her voice, Wisana blinked, curling his lips up into a smile. Then he nodded in understanding.
“Anyway, a dragon warrior can have only one dragon?” He continued asking.
“That’s a misunderstanding.” She said in a delighted voice. “The number of dragons in command that a dragon warrior can have depends on their ability. The more skilled and imposing the dragon master is, the more of the dragons they can have. But I have to warn you that there’s a likely high chance that the dragons in command will attack each other out of jealousy that one gets more love than the others, too. And this is because there’re quite a lot of dragon races that don’t get along so well. So, that’s what you should be aware of, and consider thoroughly about how many dragons you can handle and how to raise them properly.”
Wisana nodded out of understanding.
“Well, you can explain things a lot more clearly than some jerk around here.”
He said, then glanced at some jerk around here. And after realizing he was getting nagged, Lex curled up a smile with a chuckle in response.
Seeing them like that, Texela let out a loud laugh instantly.
“Well, what Lex looks like from the outside really makes people think of him like that though.” She said with a laugh. “But I have to tell you that he might be the humblest man on earth, but he’s actually the strongest dragon warrior at this time. He has the dragons in command more than you could even imagine.”
Texela laughed out loud, while Wisana was raising his eyebrows.
“He’s really that badass? Because judging from his choice of fashion, there’d be just some weird dragons that agree to be under Lex’s command.” Wisana said smilingly.
“But the number of some weird dragons you’re talking about is so immense that you could take over the game’s capital easily with their army, boy.”
Listening to that, the man paused, looking up at the white dragon as he made a sound like ‘Huh?’ out of his mouth. Then he looked at Lex, who was smiling knowingly at him from that small tea table.
“You’re just kidding, right?”
“Why would I lie to you, little human?” She spoke. “He might look like this, but he’s a real one. Until today, he and I still can’t decide who’s the stronger one. He’s such a boy who is so irritating to fight with and gets me frustrated every time.”
After speaking, she made a snorting sound out of her nose in displeasure.
But the man who was nagged again only grinned, holding his teacup up.
“You too, Tixy. When will you surrender? You saw it, too, that in our fights lately, I could make more wounds on you than you did on me."
Lex’s voice was in a high-pitched tone like he was provoking the other, making the white dragon stretch her neck up high, before groaning out aloud.
“In your dream, child.” She snapped. “Who would surrender to a boy that was born yesterday like you? And who allows you to call me Tixy anyway? Don’t be overbold. You’re still just the head of the dragon master class. Don’t think that I can’t make you suffer.”
“Yeah, sure, Ma’am.”
The man with a pair of silver glasses waved his hand like he was unbothered. Seeing Texela getting frustrated like this, Wisana might have to reconsider this Lex guy now. Even though they were just yelling at each other, it was still obvious that these two had a lot of respect for each other.
“Tch, annoying brat.” She cursed out of displeasure, before looking down at Wisana again. “So, that’s all this is about. And I hope that you understand how you should be treating dragons after you become a dragon warrior.”
The white dragon got back to the main topic. And Wisana grinned widely as he nodded in response.”
“Yup, I got it now, Aunty. Dragon’s not just a pet, but a partner to walk alongside.” Then he smiled widely. “You didn’t even have to tell me all that, actually. I’m not the type that likes to oppress other people, you know.”
The white dragon giggled in her throat after listening to his words, and it was the cutest sound that Wisana had ever heard before.
“I know.” She spoke with a knowing voice. “I can sense Sarquros, my daughter’s feelings now. And I think I know what kind of person you are.”
“Yes?” The listener raised his eyebrows confusedly.
But the white dragon only laughed in her throat, before looking over to Thong Yod, who had been making something by their side for quite a while now.
“Is it finished, my twins?” She asked.
“Yes, it is, Mother.” The girls replied in unison.
So, after listening to that, Wisana turned to look at them, too. And right after he saw what the twins had been making was, he gasped with his eyebrows raised.
“W, what are those for?” He yelled in a high-pitched tone.
“Well, they’re the tools that will help you in the hatching quest, boy,” Texela replied delightedly.
“Tools?” Wisana drawled. “You call those the tools for the hatching quest, but no matter how I look at them, those obviously are just a blanket and a pillow.”
He was pointing at the items as he spoke. Right now, there was a small set of bedding piling up right in front of him. The set included a white clean mattress, a blanket with the logo of dragon master class, and a soft, comfy-looking pillow.
“You want me to sleep with the egg in there to hatch it?” Wisana asked sarcastically.
“That’s correct. You’ve started learning already, you know.”
“What? Are you serious? I was just being sarcastic.”
He smiled wryly after saying that, before making a snorting sound out of his throat.
“You have to be serious about it, boy. “Texela warned with a gentle voice. “If you cannot hatch the egg in your hand, your class quest will be marked as failure right away. And the tools I offered you are already according to our standards, too. Also, the rule of the dragon master class states clearly that the dragon that will be hatched from the stolen egg in the class quest will be the permanent promised bond dragon to the candidate forever.”
“Permanent promised dragon?” The man raised his eyebrow.
“That’s correct. In other words, the dragon that is about to be hatched from the egg will be the first dragon that will stay with you forever. You cannot cast it away, set it free, or even change the ownership to another player.”
“So, it means,” He started, looking at the large black egg in his hands. “The dragon I have to hatch from the egg will be my dragon buddy forever, right?”
“Sort of.”
Texela said in a joyful voice, making the listener blink a few times.
If she told him that the dragon in this egg would become his partner,
Then the image of the dragon mom that was savage and revengeful popped up in his mind, and that was the worst flashback that got a goose bump all over his body somehow!
“Hey, Aunty White,” he asked in a shaking voice.
“Yeah?”
“Will the dragon that comes out of the egg have the exact same personality as its mother?”
