Chapter 316: Dragon’s Blood Ceremony (2) Part IV

Chapter 316: Dragon’s Blood Ceremony (2) Part IV

“Will the dragon that comes out of the egg have the exact same personality as its mother?”

He said, then made a sour face. And after hearing the question with that face, Texela burst out another loud laugh. She knew so well why he was asking her this. He probably got chased down by her savage oldest so badly, so he felt so creeped out right now.

“Don’t worry.” She spoke. “Most of the dragons that are hatched from eggs will have some characteristics like their mothers. It’s just the rule of bloodline that can’t be avoided. But in the case of the bond, the masters can raise their dragons to have any personality, depending on how properly they raise one. So, don’t worry about that. When you’re the one who hatches the egg, the dragon inside will love you like a father as well.”

Listening to that, Wisana nodded.

After he knew that the dragon could be taught and trained, he started feeling relieved. At least this dragon did not have to be fierce like its mother. And if it still got the skills like Sarquros,

So, it meant that a good thing had fallen into his hands now!

He thought before a big smile came across his face.

“I get it now, Aunty. What else do I have to do next?”

The man asked to cut into the topic, and the white dragon just glanced at her twin daughters. After getting the signal from their mother, Thong Yip and Thong Yod walked to Wisana as his eyes followed them.

“Mister Wisana, could you give us the tears of dragon, and the moon water that you have collected from the previous quest, please?” Thong Yod asked,

After hearing that, Wisana raised his eyebrows a little, before opening his inventory window up and grabbing the two items for the emotionless-faced lady in front of him. The girl took it quietly and handed it to her twin sister.

Thong Yip did not say anything but only pulled the corks out of the two water bottles quickly. After that, she poured the tears of dragon into the bottle of moon water that was a bigger size. Then she grabbed something out of her pocket that looked like a green gem the size of the tip of a little finger, putting it in the mixed water in the bottle as well.

And finally, she put the cork back on the bottle, before muttering a strange-sounding spell softly, slowly making the water bottle glow a golden light out, especially the gem she put in there that was glowing the brightest.

“Please drink this, Sir.” Thong Yip handed that bottle to the man.

“Drink this?” The listener raised his eyebrows. “Drink this water? Are you crazy? It hasn’t been pasteurized yet, how can you be sure that it’s clean? And what about that huge diamond in the bottle? Do I need to swallow it, too, or what?”

“Yes, Sir, you do.”

The twins replied at the same time.

“What? Swallow this diamond? Who would want to solve this kind of thing down their throats?”

He could not keep yelling for so long, because the girls sent him the cold look in their eyes at him in unison, making the one who had been troublesome all along pause. Those cold eyes and the emotionless faces looked like they felt pity for him for being annoying like this.

Seeing that, he let out a harsh sigh, grabbing the bottle instantly.

“Fine, I’ll just drink it.”

Then he poured the pond water with a rock in his mouth, holding his breath as he swallowed them down in one go. The attractive face warped in a way that it had never done before. The taste was as awful as some Bitter pills’. And that fat diamond even made his throat feel burned before he could swallow it down.

“I drank it. Now what?”

He said in a displeased voice. And the twins just pointed their palms to invite him to lie down on the mattress right away.

“From now on, you have to lie on the mattress and hold the egg tight, boy,” Texela said. “Remember that you have to keep the egg close to your chest all the time. Let it hear your heartbeats.”

After hearing that, he glanced at the white dragon from the corner of his eyes, before letting out a long sigh.

Come on, did he really have to do something like this?!

Why did he have to act like a hen like this? Had these guys ever heard about an incubator? There probably was no need for hens to hatch the eggs by themselves anymore nowadays!

That was what he thought, but he did not want to extend the argument anymore now. So, he took his shoes off wearily, before lying down on the mattress. Thong Yip was the one who put the blanket on and tugged him in tightly.

“Can I not use the blanket? It’s not even cold in here.” He asked.

“No, Sir. You have to use the blanket. The egg needs a warm and suitable temperature to be hatched.” Thong Yip replied, making Wisana shake his head, getting fed up with it.

“And please hold the egg tightly in your arms as Mother told you, too.” Thong Yod repeated.

“Yes, Ma’am.”

The one who had to be like a hen could only accept it wearily. Then he hugged the egg tight in his arms, while he was feeling pity for himself that he ended up doing anything like this.

“Anyway, how long do I have to be in this hatching position?”

The sassy one looked up to ask Texela.

“It depends on the amount of love you put on the egg. If you can do that well, it’ll be around a couple of hours before the egg is hatched.”

“My goodness, if it can be that long, isn’t it better to just fall asleep with it then?”

The cheeky one said sarcastically again.

“That’s it. You need to sleep, so the potion you drank will be the most effective.”

“Huh?”

“Well, a while ago, my twins just made a potion for you to drink, didn’t they? It was the potion that helped with hatching a dragon egg. But the condition is that it’s effective when you’re asleep only.”

“So, I have to actually sleep.”

“That’s right.” She repeated.

“Well, Aunty, how can I sleep right after I’m told to, and with this many people staring from around my bed like this?”

“I knew that you might say this.” She said with a laugh in her voice. “But don’t worry about that, my daughters and I will take care of that for you.”

Hearing that, Wisana raised his eyebrows.

Meanwhile, Lex, who was enjoying his tea with Angie, let out a slight sigh. He then opened his inventory window to grab an item out and put it down on the table. Angie raised her eyebrows at it instantly.

“...Why did you take this chase board out?” The little girl asked.

“Well, it’s going to be a long time before Mister Vincent hatches the egg. So, let’s have something to pass the time, shall we?”

After listening to that, Angie looked at her cheeky leader, then pushed a breath out of her nose softly, before nodding in agreement.

“That’d be great. But let me warn you that I’m pretty good at this.”

“It’s alright. I’m quite skilled as well.”

The two said with a smiley face, before placing their chase on their sides. But while they were doing that, suddenly there was a sweet sound of someone singing a song. It was the song that made the listeners pause right away.

Angie looked in the song’s direction, then saw Texela and the twins who had one of their arms crossed on their chest, circling around Wisana as they were singing. The song sounded a lot like a lullaby, but it was not. It was just a song that was sung very beautifully, and it made the listeners feel sleepy somehow.
