Chapter 300: Black Dragon “Sarquros” Part IV

Chapter 300: Black Dragon “Sarquros” Part IV

“We’re almost there.”

Angie told him. Because the closer they got to the nest of this dragon, the stronger this sharp, burning smell would get. This was the smell of dragon excrement used to scare other monsters away. Wisana had heard before that the fire that they often lit up to keep monsters away at night had dragon excrement as the main ingredient. Its smell was strong enough to make other monsters think that a dragon was around the area.

But this dragon’s poop, it was super stink.

He felt like his nose would get cancer because of it now.

“There.”

While this sassy man was busy covering up his nose, Angie pointed to the side, making him pause. Wisana turned his head to her finger, to the spot that had the most crystals growing out of there. And there was a large hole that was about 2 meters deep as well.

“That’s where it lays eggs. The dragon uses those magic crystals to keep the egg warm all the time. That’s totally it.”

Hearing that, Wisana let out a long sigh.

Luckily, the mother was really away from the nest right now.

“Let’s get an egg before we get into trouble. I want to get out of here so badly now.”

“Yeah.”

After making the agreement, the two managed to sneak between the rocks carefully, even though there was no other creature around them at all, but safety first. And when they got to the rim of the hole, Wisana slid down to the bottom right away, before summoning the water element marble out again to brighten the area.

“So, where’s this dragon’s egg?” He spoke to himself, while he was looking around consideringly. “What does it look like, Angie?”

“Uh, the egg of this one should be black and round like a ball, I suppose.”

“Black?”

Wisana tilted his head to the side a little before he started searching. And finally, his eyes caught the only round thing that was placed at the deepest spot of the hole, with some pieces of bones scattered around it.

“There it is.”

He smiled softly as he hurriedly slid down to that spot immediately. After he stepped on the spot, he lay down on the ground, while he was slowly reaching his hands to that egg.

The egg did not look any different from a massive piece of gem. Its surface was shiny, and he could feel that warmth from the inside of it beneath his touch.

“This is totally it. This thing’s been radiating the heat since it’s not even hatched yet, huh.”

The man curled up a big smile, before lifting the egg up as gently as he could, its size was about the same as a large beach ball, and its weight was around 3 kilograms. And without wasting any more time, Wisana held it tightly, before leaping up from the bottom to Angie by the rim in one go.

“I got the right one, Angie?” he hurriedly asked.

“You did.” The little one replied after looking at it for quite a while. “But there was only one egg in the nest?”

“Yeah, this was all I saw.”

He answered and looked at the bottom of the hole once again. Angie started dropping her sweat a bit before she grabbed Wisana’s arm and yanked him to hurry back.

“Wait, hold on, stop pulling me like that, kid. I’d drop the egg.” The one who was being pulled protested.

“We need to hurry and get out now, or we’d be the ones that get torn into pieces.”

“Huh?” The man raised his eyebrows. “What are you saying?”

“I’m saying that you’ve just stolen the only egg from the fiercest dragon in the Drago Hild dungeon. So, do you still want to wait here for the mother to hunt you down?”

“Wait, what? The fiercest dragon in the dungeon, what’s that supposed to mean?”

“Don’t ask anything right now. I’ll give you all the details about that once we make it out of here.”

Hearing that, Wisana grudgingly kept his mouth shut for now. He started to sense a disaster somehow as well. So, he shook Angie’s hand off him to carry the egg more firmly as he ran.

From walking cautiously and silently like when they got in, they were now running at full speed. Wisana had summoned dozens more of the magic marbles and made them spread out wide around them to light their way.

“Can’t we just use the dragon flare to teleport back to Lex right now? We’ve got all the items we need by the way.”

Wisana turned to ask, and Angie shook her head in reply right away.

“No, we can’t. Don’t forget that transportation items can’t be used inside a dungeon. We have to get outside to use it, or else it will just go to waste.”

“Damn it, you’re right.”

Wisana cursed, while he was avoiding a stalagmite on the ground casually, and the egg that he had to hold carefully seemed to be firm in his arms. But the problem was that if he had to fight with anything, this totally was not the right time at all.

He just hoped that there was nothing happening and that what Angie said was just some kind of her silly joke, please!

“If we get there, we’ll be able to see the gap in the cave ceiling now,” Wisana shouted. “And I’m going to use the butterfly effect to fly us out of here at full speed. So, you have to hold on tight to me, okay?!”

“Y ...yeah!”

Angie shouted back in reply right away. Nothing had gone wrong yet, but this place was a dragon’s nest anyway. So, they had to do things as fast as they could.

Or else...

“Crap, what the heck?”

Something unexpected would happen any time if you messed with dragons.

“I ...it can’t be. How did they know?”

Angie barely put her words together.

Anyway, these two youngsters had to keep their eyes open, because the dragons were about to roar now.

GROOOWL!!!!

Multiple screams came up in unison, loudly and resoundingly throughout the Drago Hild dungeon cave. Angie had to hold her hands up to cover her ears, meanwhile, Wisana who was carrying the dragon egg really thought that maybe he needed to make an appointment with a doctor to get his ears checked urgently.

But this small issue could be prioritized later because there was something even more shocking when the two looked up at the top of the spiral walkway in the dungeon...

Every walkway on every floor was full of many kinds of dragons. They did not even shine a light on the monsters to know that there were definitely at least 100 of them. Some of them had electric sparks flashing in their wide mouths, some looked like monitor lizards that were climbing the wall on the fourth floor.

“Er, are they having a homecoming party or something?”

Wisana said with his sweat dropping, while Angie had gone speechless already.

With this many of them, it was still impossible to win, even if they brought the entire Nemesis with them now!!

How was this happening? Along the way, she did not make any sound and she used the light as carefully as she could. It was impossible for this many dragons to know about their existence.

GEEEE!!!
