Chapter 301: Black Dragon “Sarquros” Part V
Chapter 301: Black Dragon “Sarquros” Part V
GEEEE!!!
And Angie’s question was answered in a high-pitched scream that came resoundingly a moment later. The two looked up to follow the sound and saw their familiar(?) who just separated from them not so long ago. It was standing apparently on the second floor of the dungeon, and it was in the front line like it was these dragons’ boss even.
“It’s that freaking mantis!”
Wisana yelled, being able to recognize the monster instantly and accurately.
“God, it’s been following us all this time?”
The one who feared mantises exclaimed in a high-pitched tone that she had never done it before. And the next second, she hurriedly got behind Wisana’s back like taking cover from the bullets in a bunker.
After seeing the reaction of the two, the mantis monster, which they did not want to admit was a dragon as well, moved its mouth to be like a smile. Its saliva was dripping out with a buzzing noise that was either like a laugh of satisfaction or a laugh of the winning one.
“Damn you, Mantis. I should have fried and eaten you earlier.”
Wisana said indignantly, before looking at Angie with a worried face. Just these dragons’ party was already scary, and now that she had to counter with the mantis that she hated also. It seemed like he could cut the choice of fighting them with Angie off right away.
Their only chance at this moment was to run!
Wisana thought, then looked around for their getaway route. However, the cruel fact was that these dragons were blocking all their way out now. Even in the air, many dragons had spread their wings and were flying around already.
“Angie.”
The man called her name. However, the younger one did not say anything in reply.
“Come on Angie, get it together.”
“Y ...yeah, b ...but, the mantis.”
“Just ignore it!” He snapped loudly like he was trying to get her to focus. Angie flinched. “Don’t be scared of that crappy monster. As long as I’m here, that crap won’t be able to touch you at all.”
Hearing the word crap twice, the dragon killer’s nerves started twitching.
“Listen,” Wisana continued. “We’re flying out of here at full speed, you have to hold on to me tightly. And right after we’re out of the dungeon, we’re going to use the dragon flare to teleport out of this place, okay?”
“O ...okay, KYAAA!! Look up!”
Just a second before they could finish reviewing their plan, there was a mysterious object falling from the entrance of the dungeon above them, shading the cave from the moonlight totally.
The moment of a disaster came to him fast like a wind blow. Those amber eyes were opened so wide that everything around looked like a still shot for him. His well-shaped lips pressed together tightly as something snapped with a loud noise inside his brain.
And after that, his body moved before he could even think about it!
CRASH!!!!!
Before everything started moving at normal speed again, that massive thing landed on the ground with a loud crashing noise, making the whole dungeon quake. Many stalactites broke apart and fell to the ground. The smoke from the impact was spreading out in a large area, followed by a deep hole beneath it!
“Crap! That’s really a dragon. Being careless for a second, and I was almost sent to say hi to the god of death.”
Wisana cursed loudly as he checked the egg in his arms. And after he saw that it did not have a crack or scratch anywhere, he let out a sigh of relief. After that, those amber eyes gazed at the thing in front of him, clenching his jaws. That massive thing that almost crushed Angie and him flat in the dirt was not a normal big rock.
It was a huge dragon, looking like a pangolin that could curl itself into a ball. But its back was made of pure rock, and it was also knobby. So, no doubt that if this dragon landed on him instead of the ground just now, he would have surely lain dead on the spot.
“Dragon Golem, huh? Damn, this is the one that I don’t want to mess with the most.”
Wisana said with a bright smile as a drop of sweat streamed down his cheek. Dragon golem was one of those medium to large size dragons. It did not have many skills. Its health points were not much either. But the thickness of its armor was at the same level as a boss.
So, it was not a good skill dragon, but it was not easy to beat either.
So, they were using the dragon to stall the time, huh? ...that was tricky.
That was why dragons should not be messed with.
“You’re okay, kid?”
After he could get it together again, Wisana glanced at Angie who was trying to stand awkwardly on the other side. In the second that they both almost got crushed by that stone dragon a while ago, he used air magic to push the little one away, while he was surviving that with his classic move, “the jumper” skill.
“Y ...yeah, I am.” Angie forced her voice out in reply.
Where does she look okay?!
The older one could only yell in his mind. Because except for getting up so slowly, Angie also looked nervous by the number of enemies, and that mantis quite a lot.
At the same time, other dragons had realized that the invaders were quite skilled to be able to evade the first attack easily. So, they all screamed out once more as a sign for every dragon to know that they could go with “full attack mode” now!
“Damn it!” Wisana cursed.
Right now, there were dozens of dragons jumping off the walkway up there and coming straight to kill him, while those flying dragons were spreading their wings out wide and coming down to take him out as well.
As expected,
Those dragons were incredibly smart. They divided their force into two groups. The first group was formed up by a couple of those huge ones that were coming at him. Meanwhile, the second group was included with smaller dragons with the dragon killer as their captain, leading the dozens of dragons to get Angie, as if they knew that this little prey was less dangerous. And that made her the suitable choice of being the first one for them to hunt!
“Angie!!” Wisana shouted resoundingly.
His eyes glanced at the little girl fast as he estimated the situation briefly. There might be a chance if he chose to fight in this dark cave. But Angie’s condition right now did not seem like she would be able to make it, or even put up with the battle.
So, the only way was to run.
But how...?
Wisana told himself to figure a way out fast...
His brain which was not used so often started running like a machine. His amber eyes looked around the place quickly in a way that it did not look like a human’s eyes should be moving at all. His lips pressed together before there was a voice coming up in his brain all of a sudden...
...Time Stopper Magic...
Yes, that was right!
Time stopped, the spell of Jinnie!
“Jinnie, use the dimension switch!!”
