Chapter 299: Black Dragon “Sarquros” Part III

Chapter 299: Black Dragon “Sarquros” Part III

All they found as they walked was silence. The deeper they went down in the dungeon, the more Wisana felt the sweat soaking up his body, making it all sticky. The light from his magic marbles and Angie’s scepter started to be more useful because they had reached the point where the moonlight could not get through now.

And the deeper they went, the wider the walkway became. There started to be some stalagmites growing on the ground which Wisana and Angie took advantage of them as a hiding place many times along the way. And what else would they be hiding from if not some massive creatures with the size of 10 meters walking past them slowly? That was the reason why they had to hurriedly turn their lights off and hide behind these rock sticks.

Wisana swore that he would never get inside a cave like this when there was not any vision for the second time, damn it!

Also, there were many times that he had to use a special skill called “back stun.” It was an attack skill of the magic warrior class that could stun the enemy in one hit. But the conditions were that the enemy would not see it coming, and he only had to strike from the back.

Obviously, he had been using the skill with those dragon babies, because they were being naughty kids by sneaking out of their bed to play at night. So, he needed to take them before they saw him. Things would be totally not fun if one of them realized that they were here. (He kind of understood the word child today.)

After their effort to walk down sneakily and cautiously from the entrance of the dungeon, the two finally reached the bottom of it successfully. They could confirm that this floor was the hottest spot which made them take off their guild jackets instantly to dry their sweat.

They did not need to use the light they summoned anymore, because of this level 10, or the highest ranked, fire element stone was right here in front of them. The stone was bright red and shining as their only source of light, and it was the cause of this suffocating hot temperature right now.

“So, this is what makes me soak up in sweat, huh,” Wisana whispered to Angie.

“Inside Drago Hild Mountain is the best place to collect fire element minerals. There are many players who want to collect those magic crystals here, but they just have to give up, because...”

“Because?”

Wisana raised his eyebrows after he listened to the words of the younger one. But Angie was reconsidering whether she should continue speaking. And finally, she shook her head harshly as a reply to him.

“Nothing. Let’s find an egg and get out of here. I don’t want to be here for so long.”

The man nodded in agreement.

Angie was right. Not only that this area was hot like a desert, but it was also too quiet, and it was unwelcoming to be here for too long. And Wisana still insisted that the place that was too quiet would not be a safe place totally.

After that, the two started looking and exploring around the place carefully. The ground floor of the dungeon was large, but it was full of fire element crystals that did not look pleasing to be near at all. And Wisana noticed that there was not any dragon around here at all.

He guessed that the other dragons probably were not fond of such hot weather that much.

So, what kind of hell lord lived in this kind of place?

“Angie, are you sure that there’s a dragon living in a place like this?” Wisana asked.

And the one who was questioned paused a little, before nodding like she did not want to have this conversation.

“Yes, I am.”

“What kind of thing lives in a hot area like this? I’ve only been here for a couple of minutes, and I started to smell my face burning already.”

“Well, those fire dragons do.”

Angie replied in a soft voice, and Wisana paused after he heard her tone. He was speechless as he realized that there were fire dragons in this game as well, though there were very few of them. At least Lord Inferno that he fought had been classified as a fire dragon monster now, too.

Fire dragon, ...eh?!

Wait...

All of a sudden, Wisana abruptly paused and stopped walking.

“Angie, the fire dragons you’re talking about, Lord Inferno’s not one of them, is it?”

The listener flinched, before slowly turning to look at the troublemaker like an unsmooth door that was hard to swing open.

“N ...no, it’s not, but...”

“Oh, that’s such a relief.” Wisana let out a sigh of relief. “To be honest, I’m so sick of wrestling with that monster so badly. If I had to do it again in this quest, I’d totally lose my mind. Seeing it brings me disaster every time.”

Wisana ended the conversation, before moving on without paying much attention to the words of the younger one that much. And Angie was tired of it, too. She tried to talk to him many times, but this guy never listened to her at all.

“It’s not Lord Inferno, but it’s something that will surprise you even more.”

The little girl muttered indiscreetly, before walking after the tall man.

Along the way, there were many reasons that slowed their steps down. Their faces were soaked up in sweat by something that he was sure was not because of the heat in this place. But it was because of the remains of the skeleton in front of them.

The skeleton of something that once lived was huge. Approximately, it could be around 5 meters tall or more. And seeing that made him swallow down his saliva.

Well, dragons were carnivores. It was not weird for them to have this kind of thing in their nest.

Though the size of the skeleton was so huge.

“Well, I’ll just hope these remains are from some weak herbivore though.”

After he finished encouraging himself, he carefully and slowly walked past those bones. However, Angie did not think so. Because as she walked past them, she looked at the part that was supposed to be the skull and she saw that this thing once had sharp teeth. And she got to say that a creature with sharp teeth could never be an herbivore.

“Jinnie, babe.”

After a quick while, Wisana called for his AI, before she popped out in her slim figure and with a BINK! Sound.

“Yes, Master?”

“I’ve started to be curious about what kind of the dragon on the ground floor of the dungeon is now. So, can you contact the Association of Explorers to buy information about the Drago Hild dungeon for me? It’ll be great if they have the information about the monster as well.”

“Copy that.”

After taking his order, Jinnie swirled and disappeared inside Wisana again. At the same time, Wisana unintentionally caught eye with Angie, before the older one shrugged.

“Just in case we have to fight a dragon around here.”

“Okay.”

Angie agreed easily, and then they moved on. When they had reached the point where they could not see the exit on the top of the mountain anymore, there was a burning smell like Sulphur so strong that the two had to hold their hands up to cover their noses.

“We’re almost there.”
