Chapter 295: Rhythm of the Moon Part IV
Chapter 295: Rhythm of the Moon Part IV
“By the way, since you’re not that busy now, shouldn’t you go to Drago Hild and check on Na a bit?”
Maysa only curled up a smile, before shaking her head.
“No, I better not.”
“Why? That’s unusual. You two stick together all the time, don’t you? Don’t you feel worried about your boyfriend at all?”
She said, before winking at the other knowingly. The listener made a snorting sound.
“You know, Nam, that the more I know you, the more I feel that you’re even many hundred times better than your brother at teasing people. Your words hit deeply in the bones.”
“Aw, I’m not that kind of person at all.” She finished speaking and then faked a sweet smile at the other, blinking at her in the way that a smart one like Maysa knew at first glance that Waree was just pretending.
Maysa could only shake her head wearily. She had known Waree long enough to know that this friend was really hard to deal with. And most of her personality was the same as Thada, the guy Maysa disliked. Especially the smile that was difficult to read when the two of them talked, or how their sarcastic words cut deeply to the bottom of the heart!
Waree might look like a cute, innocent girl, but she was actually very smart. With a few words, she could get many people to love her, or obey her and follow her every order like a puppy.
“You sneaky fox.”
Maysa turned to nag at her beloved friend with an annoying smirk. That was a nickname that she had been calling Waree for a while now. However, the one who got nagged did not mind. She even laughed at that delightedly.
“Why are you not following Na, though? You got lazy?”
Waree changed her tone of voice to be more serious.
“No, it’s not like that.” Maysa shrugged. “I just want that guy to try playing the game on his own. This time, he was so enthusiastic looking for the new class he wanted to play. He did some research, learned the information, and even asked and talked to the players on the Pride web board. He was a bit too awkward with these things though. But seeing that makes me think that it might be good to let him do things by himself sometimes.”
After hearing that, Waree let out a chuckle.
“You sound like a mom watching her son growing!” She said, then slapped Maysa’s arm a couple of times. And the mom just smiled in reply.
“And I’m not? Do you think how hard it is to deal with your sassy brother?”
“Well, I see.” Waree still could not stop laughing. “It’s a good idea to send Angie with him though. Our little angel seems like she’s been bored for a while now.”
Maysa laughed along with those words.
“Yeah, to find someone who’s jobless in the guild, I’d definitely dominate Wisana and Angie. So, to have these two go kill their boredom together might be a good idea. At least, they might take a break from bickering for a while.”
“That’s right.”
Waree nodded in agreement. However, the more she thought about it, the more she was amused.
“Actually, Angie wouldn’t get bored for a long time after she had to deal with the biggest troublemaker like Na.”
“Or she would fear dealing with him for a long time.”
Maysa completed her sentence with an amused smile, sending Waree laughing along with her as well. They looked out of the window with delighted faces. They might say that, but they knew that the Nemesis guild when Tunwa and Wisana went out for a quest at the same time was too quiet...
And when it got too quiet, it started to not feel like Nemesis all of a sudden!
After letting herself enjoy the scene in front of her, Maysa realized something. So, she turned to look at her best friend with a little worried gesture.
“How about you, Nam? Have you heard anything from him yet? We’ll have to do the registration for our guild in a few days now. If you can’t get his confirmation, I can’t put his name in our guild member list, you know?”
The question made that sweet, gorgeous face change the expression instantly. The delightful mood she was having just now turned blue in a second, before those emerald, green eyes looked in another direction.
“So, can you reach him at all?” Seeing her friend not replying, Maysa asked again.
Waree shook her head in reply, making Maysa let out a long sigh and pat her shoulder gently.
“It’s okay. He’ll contact you himself. Maybe he’s caught up with something right now. But believe me, that guy will never keep you waiting for too long.”
Hearing that, Waree curled up a slight smile but still did not undo her frowned eyebrows as she replied.
“May, He and I are not a thing.”
“Yeah?” Maysa smiled widely. “Then why does my woman sense say that there’s something special going on between you two?”
“May!”
And then, the girls started playing their tag game for another round.

After that, the world finally turned into the night. The sky was clear and open. There was not any cloud to cover the stars’ light at all. The glow of the moon was soft, comfortable silver to every eye with the black ocean of stars behind it.
The maple tree was full-grown. Its plentiful leaves were waving when the slow wind blew before some of those wavy maple leaves fell and made small ripples on the surface of the pond.
“Sigh, it took too long to get here. My legs are all sore now.”
The complaints from a man were heard as his tall figure went up to stand on a hill with his hands on his waist and the white smoke that came out of his mouth when he panted.
“How many kilometers have I been walking for today now, Jinnie?” Wisana asked. His face was soaked up in sweat.
“Around 15 kilometers, Master.”
“That’s probably longer than some boy scout’s hiking route!”
And then he complained more as usual, before glancing over his shoulder to see that some brat was still using his back as a mattress, snoring carefreely in her sleep, regardless of how adorable her sleeping face was, Wisana could not help but feel fed up with this kid anyway.
“If it wasn’t because I owned you for making you cry, I would never have been carrying you all the way like this.” He said with a nasal voice. “By the way, does this kid really hate me, or does she just want to plead with me?”
After speaking, the man sat down right away, before slowly placing the girl on his back on the ground with Jinnie preparing a pillow for her and getting a blanket out to cover the girl skillfully.
Wisana saw that and smiled amusedly.
“You’re so good, Miss Jinnie. You’re like an experienced mom.”
“It’s normal.” Jinnie turned to give him a big smile. “My AI has learned how to please every age of human from toddler, kid, pre-teenager, teenager, adult, middle-aged, and elder. I can use my system to adapt how to treat everyone professionally.”
“You really are too perfect.”
He teased jokingly, then looked up at the maple of songs. The tall trunk was near to where he was sitting. And when his amber eyes finished looking around, Wisana whistled.
“Well, this’s kind of worth walking 15 meters, though.”
