Chapter 292: Rhythm of the Moon Part I

Chapter 292: Rhythm of the Moon Part I

“That was such a relief.”

After he finished filling up the void in his stomach and relieving half of his frustration, Wisana joined his hands loosely behind his head as he walked slowly along the foothill. Unlike Angela, she was not feeling quite well. And this was because she had a little bit too much of that food called Pad Thai. So, now she was holding around her stomach with an uncomfortable face.

This could be called happiness which came with misery.

And it was not like she wanted to admit it.

But Wisana’s cooking was definitely one of the best in the world!

“My brain can work properly now after my stomach is full.”

The man said as he opened the map up.

“I think we should walk to the top of the mountain first. Lex said the pond that has moon water is there.”

Angela leaned closer to look at the transparent screen in front of them as well. And she frowned after seeing that the distance between their destination and the spot where they currently were was certainly not less than 5 kilometers.

“I don’t disagree with that.” She spoke. “But you have to figure out how to get the Tears of Dragon while we’re walking up there, too. To save our time.”

Hearing that, Wisana rubbed his chin with a considering face.

“You have a point. Because I think that this moon water will be collectable during the time that the moon is up for sure, and it’s just 4 p.m. now. So, we’ve still got plenty of time before that.”

“I think solving our dragon’s tear problem along the way up in the mountain is a good idea as well, Master.”

The computer girl gave her opinion with a beautiful voice. Meanwhile, Angela only shrugged as her brain was processing it. And those golden-brown eyes were looking at the view on the side of the path that looked like a garden with many kinds of flowers in it, surrounded by many tall trees, making it look all lovely. As well as those strange-looking monsters that started to show up in their sight sparsely.

“That one’s a dragon, too?”

Wisana pointed at a couple of monsters that were enjoying themselves sniffing colorful tulips. The said creatures looked like small squirrels but with transparent wings like a dragonfly’s moving on their backs.

“Correct,” Jinnie replied. “Those are called pixie dragons. They’re level 45, air element, dragon-type monsters. This type is harmless, and there’s not any good item dropped from killing them. For that reason, most players don’t pay attention to them, because the EXP they have is also too little.”

“Another member of the forgotten monster club, huh?”

He said and shrugged unbothered before a cunning smile came across his fair face.

“Getting the tears out of this one seems to be a good idea. They’re harmless, so we won’t have to worry about safety that much.”

KICK!!

After his sentence, the man was assaulted on his thigh instantly. Wisana screamed out loud, hurriedly looking at the sassy little kid as he was wondering why she took him as a football all of a sudden again!

“What was that for, brat?!”

“Could you not be so disgusting?”

“Huh?!” The listener raised his eyebrows out of confusion.

“It’s such a shame that I thought a stiff man like you had some morals and felt for those monsters, and that you would never do something so cruel like cutting their organs out to make an item like other barbaric players. But it turns out that you’re just one of those sadistic players.”

“Sadistic? Me?” The one who got accused pointed at himself. “Are you crazy?! At this rate, I don’t have enough time to figure out another way to get the tear now. So, I’ll just do it like others do, that’s all. Even that Lex guy suggested I use this method as well.”

“Cruel!”

The younger one stressed the word “cruel” so loudly that it made Wisana’s eyebrow twitch.

“Look at them. How could you do something so inhumane to those adorable-looking monsters like that? They’re harmless and never cause anyone trouble. And yet, you’re still going to hurt such innocent creatures!”

Listening to the preaching in fluent Thai language of this foreign kid next to him, Wisana really wanted to knock his head and die just to get it over with!!

But finally, he just sighed out loudly, then hit his forehead harshly.

“Then what do you want me to do with this?!”

“Anything that’s not an act of evil like that.”

“You’re not helping at all!”

The man complained as always, but he finally decided to leave the pixie dragons alone. And that was because arguing with this kid was surely not worth his time.

WHOOSH!!

A second later, there was a large needle flying in his direction, making the one with good senses let out a sigh. But only by tilting his head to the side a little, Wisana could avoid that needle so easily.

“What now?” He whined wearily. “Apart from this sassy kid not stopping her big mouth, now I have to deal with some creep ambushing me, too?”

Angela did not listen to what Wisana was saying that much, because she was still in shock by that massive needle that just flew past her head just a few inches away. Her ruby red eyes were widening as well as her mouth, and her body got stiff up just like a statue.

But the other one who was almost attacked only made a displeased sound in his throat, before letting out a long cursing.

“You’ve been stalking me since I started cooking down there, huh, you jerk. Don’t think that I didn’t know that!”

Those unexpected insults made the creature hiding behind some bushes pause before it slowly revealed itself for them to see.

That mysterious monster had a form like a mantis. The sharp scythes in its two hands might be the cause of the attack just now. Its face was long and oval like an insect’s, but it could look like a dragon’s from another angle as well. The monster did not have any wings, and it also stood on its back legs like a human. The body was dark green, contrasting with those pair of vivid yellow eyes that looked fierce. As well as its sharp mouth that was full of fangs, looking creepy as it sneered.

“What’s that?” The little mage yelled out nervously.

The girl had never seen something as ugly before. And the most important thing was that she hated mantises to her guts because she got stung by them, and that made her finger swell so badly when she was five!

And because of the fear that she had more than anything else right now, she shook all her cold looks off and ran to hide behind Wisana instantly.

“Jinnie, what the hell is that?” Wisana asked his AI with a calm face.

“It’s called Dragon Killer. The monster is the type that mainly stealthily strikes. It’s also one of those monsters that most players aren’t interested in as well, because its skills are too crappy, the items that are dropped from it are crappy, and the quests that have it involved are also crappy, too. In conclusion, it’s even crappier than pixie dragons.”
