Chapter 290: Tear Drop, Moon Warter, and Dragon Egg Part III

Chapter 290: Tear Drop, Moon Warter, and Dragon Egg Part III

“Whether you will pass our quests or not depends on you only. And from now on, we will not guarantee your safety and EXP that you might lose. If you agree to these terms and conditions, I’ll start explaining about your next quest right away.”

“I agree.”

“Excellent.”

Lex said with a more relaxed expression, then looked at his two assistants. After that, the girls handed him some items for him to put down on the table.

What was appearing in front of Wisana included,

A clear, moderate size glass bottle.

A small sample tube.

And finally, something that looked like an old cap turning type hand grenade.

After seeing these items, Wisana raised his eyebrows.

“What are these things?”

“These are the tools to collect your quest items, Mister Vincent.”

“Collecting tools?”

Wisana repeated aloud. And Lex only nodded in response before he picked up the first bottle which was the size of a water bottle.

“For your next quest, I want you to find me three items. And these items are already here, the Drago Hild Valley, the dungeon that has complied more than 60 kinds of dragons in the same area.”

Those golden-brown eyes looked over to the back. The direction that Lex was pointing at was a valley of high mountains. There was a heavy mist that was covering all the sight of the area. But that was not as worrying as the fact that it was one of the toughest dungeons that was full of level 80-160 dragon-type monsters.

Ugh, ...thinking about it already made him feel frightened in his guts.

“You must be kidding, Lex! Do you realize that you’re telling me to go into a brutal dungeon where even a party with dozens of members has to run with tails between their legs out for their lives?”

“No, I’m not kidding.”

The voice of the speaker was so tender that it made Wisana want to hit his head and die out of there so much. This was a brutal truth, the truth that he had to go into the valley of monsters without his best party like Maysa!!

A body without a brain, ...it was not different from a dog without its fangs!

Thinking of that, he only sighed, accepting his fate.

“What do I have to find in there?” Wisana asked with a withered voice.

“First, dragon’s tears.”

“Huh?”

The black-haired man raised his eyebrows, while he was looking at the sample tube in Lex’s hand. It was made of clear glass and sealed closed with a cork without anything filled in there.

“Fill some dragon’s tears in this tube, and you’ll get the item Tears of Dragon.”

“Tears of Dragon?” Wisana raised his eyebrows. “And how am I supposed to get that? Throw some fresh-cut onions in its eyes to make it cry so I can collect its tears?”

“This is up to you, Mister Vincent. There are many ways to collect dragon’s tears, but I suggest you kill it, then scoop its eyes out to squeeze them for the tears.”

Hearing this cruel method, even Angela, who was enjoying the second piece of the strawberry cake (that belonged to Wisana), lost her appetite instantly. She really wanted to return Lex with some burning insults for bringing this kind of thing up when people were having food in their mouths!

“Let’s be honest, are you really a master of the dragon master class? Like, aren’t you supposed to love those dragons and suggest some gentler methods?! I know it’s just a game but have some morals.”

“Aw, what a kind person you are.”

The blue-haired man gave him a sweet smile. However, his words made the listener’s face turn red as he turned it away instantly.

“There’re many kinds of dragons, Mister Wisana.” Lex continued in a steady voice. “There’re dragons that are raised to be food, dragons that are raised for their skin to be used as weapons or accessories as well. They’re not different from any other animals. They have their own purposes in the first place, and what matters the most is how well you take care of them when they’re still alive. And I can assure you that our office treats these dragons like kings.”

After he finished explaining with delight, Lex handed that small tube to the man in front of him.

“A tiny bottle of dragon’s tear, and what else?”

Wisana asked like he wanted to change the subject so much now, but his mind was still trying to figure out how he would get the tear from a dragon. In the meantime, Lex placed that moderate-sized glass bottle on the table again.

“That next item you have to find is one bottle of moon water.”

“Alright, moon water.” He repeated, then raised his eyebrows. “What’s that?”

“It’s a special kind of water that can be found in Drago Hild only. Some people use it in cooking, some use it as a material in item production. And the container has to be a bottle that is made of glass that is cut from the moonlight crystal like this one only.”

Wisana took that bottle to take a closer look at it, and to be honest, he did not see how it was different from a normal glass bottle anywhere!

It would be just a waste of his breath to ask about it, so Wisana shrugged without bothering.

"So, where do I find this moon water thing?” He asked.

“At a small pond in Drago Hild. I think it’s located on the top of the mountain, around the legendary maple tree.”

“And I just have to fill the bottle with the water in that pond?”

Wisana concluded quickly, but Lex shook his head in denying.

“The water that you take from the pond has to be in a golden color in the bottle. If the color is just a normal clear color, that’s not counted as the moon water.”

“What?” The man drawled. “Then what do I have to do to make it moon water?”

His question made the other man laugh slightly in his throat as those almond eyes behind the glasses started at Wisana with a cunning look. And that made the confused one jerk back for a second.

“Why don’t you try listening to a clue from the maple of songs yourself?”

“Maple of songs, you mean that same one that is around the pond, right?

“That’s right.”

Wisana knitted his eyebrows together but did not ask anything more. Because he knew that it was a test that he needed to pass. If he insisted on asking, he would have gotten that annoying smile from Lex in return.

“That’s all that I have to find?”

“There’s one more thing, Mister.”

Wisana rolled his eyes wearily. He turned and grabbed the last item, which was an ancient grenade that looked even older than those used during World War I period, the grenade that had the safety pin at the bottom.

“What do I do with this grenade? Should I throw it at your house, that’d be weirdly lit.”

After getting the chance, Wisana nagged the 24-hour-happy one. And obviously, he failed, because the smiley one was still smiling at him cluelessly like usual.

“That’s not a grenade, Mister Vincent. That’s “dragon flare.” It’s an item that you might not be familiar with because we patented it to belong to the dragon master class only. There’s no item developer able to produce this item, except the ones from our class.”

“Dragon flare, huh?” Wisana said, turning the item around in his hand. “What’s it for?”

“Let me explain about the last quest item that you need to find first, and I’ll explain about the dragon flare later.”

The listener looked up right into the other’s eyes, before nodding to imply Lex to continue.

“And the last item that I need to find is?”

“A dragon egg.”

“Huh?”

This time, Wisana frowned his eyebrow even harder.

“You’re saying that the dragon eggs that the mother dragons lay every morning like those hens?”

Hearing that comparison, the one who was easy to laugh burst out laughing aloud.

“To be more accurate, female dragons lay 1-2 eggs every 4 months, and those eggs take about 3 months more to hatch and become baby dragons.”

Wisana snorted out slightly as he tried to force a smile in reply, ...and of course, that smile was the wryest one of the day.

“I hope that as the head of the dragon master class, you’d know that dragons are the creatures that love their friends so much. For that reason, if those dragons see any one of them, regardless of the kinds, getting harmed, they will gang up on and get rid of the enemy right away.”

“Of course, I do know about this.”

“Then why are you giving me a quest to take a dragon egg anyway, huh, this jackass!!”
