Chapter 289: Tear Drop, Moon Warter, and Dragon Egg Part II

Chapter 289: Tear Drop, Moon Warter, and Dragon Egg Part II

“You, too, Angie. Why do you talk a lot today?”

“Because a tea person isn’t a bad person.”

Her reason made the listener gasp before he scratched his cheek.

“Does it imply that I, who prefers coffee, am a bad person?”

“Those coffee people are likely to have a serious personality, not a bad person. And those who prefer tea are more chilled. But anyway, it’s not really related, so...”

“Okay, man, you’re gonna have to stop there.”

Seeing Lex about to continue rumbling, Wisana raised his hand to stop the other man instantly. Or else, he would have to endure another long lecture from this guy, and that could have got him drooling from the brain damage surely!

“Please, let’s get back to our topic. I don’t have much time.”

“Alright.” Lex nodded in agreement easily.

Wisana felt more relieved now. He chose to act naturally and talk more casually than to use polite and formal forms. Because regardless of any angle, this Lex guy did not look that much older than him.

“First off, I’ve passed the test of your class now, right?” The straightforward question made the glasses man smile widely.

“Yes, you have.”

Lex replied briefly, and that made Wisana smile secretly, thinking to himself that the quest to join the dragon master class was not as difficult as he thought at all.

“But only for the first test.”

And the happiness was all gone in the blink of an eye.

“Huh? The first test?”

“That’s right. That was just the first test of our class.”

Lex said, before snapping his fingers. Shortly after that, there was a transparent information window popping open in front of Wisana. The edges of the screen were decorated with a background and pretty patterns. Many sentences in a scribble font were floating past his face before they ended with a large size word that said: “Passed”.

----------------

Dragon Master Class’s Quests

----------------

1. Have basic fighting skills tested by the invigilator to see if the player is qualified to continue the quests. (Passed)

2. Find the following items. (In Progress)

3. Have the dragon blood transfusion ceremony test. (In Progress)

----------------

Seeing the information on the screen, Wisana could only make a blurred face, gasping like a goldfish just got taken out of the water. Meanwhile, Angela was enjoying another piece of cake without even being bothered.

“So, it means that there’re two more tests to do?”

He bawled, thinking that he had to stay with this corny man longer.

“I understand that you’re in a rush, because there will be a major meeting about the war in Dores, and a guild leader like you can’t miss it, right?” Lex paused, before shrugging. “But rules are rules. I can’t give you more privileges, since I’ve already shortened the first test, or you would have had to stay here so much longer.”

“It could have been more troublesome than this?”

Wisana asked tiredly.

“That’s right. Normally, we don’t send in the monsters to fight with players this fast. We will have a little skit for the players to enjoy and participate a bit.”

“A skit?”

The listener asked back, unbothered as he grudgingly drank the red tea with that Humming milk thing. Lex was observing his action, before turning to Thong Yod like he was sending her some kind of signal.

And one moment later, Thong Yod walked up to Wisana, before clinging to his arm that was holding the teacup. Then all of a sudden, she screamed out!

KYAAA!!

“What? She just got possessed?” Wisana shuddered.

“Please help, sir. My twin sister, my twin sister got captured by the monsters. I don’t know if she’s still okay. Please help my sister.”

After speaking, Thong Yod put her hand on her forehead to make her emotionless face look a bit more worried. Er, ...he noticed that from how her nose was flaring and her eyebrows that were being forced to join each other...

“W, what’s going on?”

He turned to ask Lex, but Thong Yod did not care. She spun and collapsed on the ground, looking all fragile like wet tissue paper that could be torn apart at any time.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you?”

“...D ...don’t worry about me. I’m just a bit injured from the monsters’ attacks. B... but I’m okay. Unlike my sister, she has a chronic disease too, you know? If it happens to relapse during this time, I’m afraid it’ll be too late.”

The NPC said as she upgraded her acting to be 50% more dramatic (repeated that she did all that with a deadpan face), making Wisana gasp for three seconds straight, in the pose of him about to sip tea.

“Er...?” He was speechless as Thong Yod slowly pushed herself up to stand again.

“If you gave a healing potion to her, she would go help you in the fight, you know. Oh, and she would give you a Magtiria potion in return as well. So, the fight with the quest monsters would get easier.”

“Uh, ...Lex, this is...?”

“That was our little skit to make the players feel participated. You should give Thong Yod a little clap though. That was her best acting.”

The glasses man was not just saying, but clapping as he said as well. And Angela was his best supporter, because she hurriedly clapped her hands in admiration, leaving only Wisana speechless there alone!

CLANK!

The sound of the teacup bumping against the saucer softly was heard as those amber eyes blinked a couple of times. Then Wisana turned to look Lex in the eyes, asking for confirmation.

“So, that was how your class quest normally goes?”

“Correct.” Lex smiled proudly at him.

“With this crappy skit?”

“Yikes! I told you that it was to make the player feel participated in the quest.”

Whatever Lex was trying to say, ...Wisana stood up, before placing his hand on both of Lex’s shoulders with a serious face that made the young master raise his eyebrows.

“Thank you, Lex. Thank you so much...”

“Thank me for what?”

“You don’t need to know. But thank you, really...”

Of course, the listener was confused.

But how would Wisana tell him that he was so glad that it almost made him cry? He felt so lucky that he did not have to join the crappiest skit he watched a while ago. Because if he did have to take part with the stiff acting skill that even a statue would give her respect like that, his mood would have been drained, and he would have run back to Nemesis camp by now.

Even though the owner of the silver glasses was still confused, he implied that he was messing around too much now.

“I think you have taken a good break already. So, I’m going to explain about the second test that you have to pass now, shall we?”

“Yeah, that’d be nice.”

Wisana nodded wearily at the moment that Thong Yip walked in to refill his tea.

“Anyway, could I have the third-class paper from the class registration office first?”

“Oh, sure, hold on a second.”

He opened the inventory window up to grab the paper roll and handed it to the other.

“Excuse me.”

Thong Yip took the paper and brought it to her master. Meanwhile, Thong Yod walked closer to Wisana, before bowing humbly.

“May I?” She said in a monotone voice, but Wisana did not mind. He knew what she was going to do.

“Sure.”

After that, Thong Yod held her hands up to touch his face gently, before moving closer to stare at him right in the eyes. By now, Wisana had been used to the abilities scanning already.

And compared to Lala, ...these girls were a lot better!

“All confirmed, Master.”

“Alright then, Mister Vincent,” Lex nodded and turned to look at Wisana, feeling satisfied. “You’re qualified to take a class quest of our dragon master class without any conditions. And I’m glad that you’re interested in our class, and I’m proud to have a skillful player like you joining us.”

The casual voice suddenly sounded formal, as well as the twins who knew their queue and stood behind their master again, making the man look all imposing just like that. Wisana secretly gulped his saliva down.

“However,” He objected loudly. “Whether you will pass our quests or not depends on you only. And from now on, we will not guarantee your safety and EXP that you might lose. If you agree to these terms and conditions, I’ll start explaining about your next quest right away.”
