Chapter 286: Battle and The Mist Part IV

Chapter 286: Battle and The Mist Part IV

“TCH! It’s still not dead? I should have hit it once more.”

GEE!!

He was paying too much attention to the enemy on the ground that he forgot there was another one rushing in to attack him. The second mummy assassin jumped at Wisana from behind. It screamed out with a voice that hurt his ears, and it was also holding the weapon up above its head, ready to slash it down at him as well.

However, its actions could only get a pitying sigh out of the man, and that was all.

“Are you sure that it’s a good idea to attack me from behind? Just so you know, I really hate those who stab people in the back.”

After his voice, his bracelet started to glow dazzlingly. The legendary item, the knowledge of elements (The Element), had been activated again. The bracelet now had a pitch-black color, showing that the improvement was many times greater than in the last 4 months. The cross pendant that was hanging from the bracelet started spinning with transparent particles spreading out all over the area. And there was a flame blazing up on his back.

GEEE!

350,140!!

The damage points were shocking, but the many kinds of weapons appearing from Wisana’s back with a number that was not less than 50 pieces were even more shocking. The mummy assassin that was approaching him got its body pierced through by those weapons, making it scream out in pain.

“Oh, how do you like those prickles?”

The sassy one turned to ask like he was mocking the monster. After that, he heard a battle sound coming from another side. So, he turned and saw that Angela was surrounded by two enemies right now.

Fighting with the enemies with speed in a close range like this put a mage like her at a great disadvantage.

“That’s bad. If she dies and is sent back to the town, I’ll get scolded a lot for sure!”

WOOOP!

Without saying anything more, Wisana ran from where he was standing like teleporting. He suddenly appeared again between those two enemies that were ganging up on the little mage furiously. Even so, the cheeky one still had the time to look into her eyes with such an annoying gesture!

“You look like you are losing there, little one. Do you need help with that?”

“Quit messing around. Just hurry up and finish it. I’m dying to get out of here now!”

Angela unintentionally snapped. Wisana winked at her with a brief saying, “Sure thing, Your Highness.” Right after that, he disappeared from the sight of the little and those mummies.

One moment later, he showed up behind the enemies as fast as blinking, the mummies did not even realize that right now, there was a high-speed demon holding up a scythe just a few inches away from their throats. After that, the one who was having fun by himself spread up his smile, before holding his two hands to the enemies!!

SHINK!!

185,305!

180,056!

A blink later, there were two swords appearing up to stab into the mummies’ bodies, making them stunned. They did not even have the time to scream out of pain. Wisana did not wait any longer, he continued to have his one-sided fun by throwing the mummies to the other side where their friends were lying on the ground.

“They’re sticking together now, Angie. Grill them!”

“You didn’t have to tell me that.” She said and held the scepter up, before whipping it down with full force

Lightning Vortex!!!

CRASH!!!

403,258!!

An enormous thunderbolt, aka, the favorite ultimate of the little mage struck down at the dying mummies with a loud crashing noise. The damage points popped up high as a large hole from the attack appeared. Of course, there were pieces of something black and crispy burned that possibly were the bandages of the mummies at the bottom of the hole as well.

“I’ll never get tired of seeing this skill of yours. It’s strong and savage. That was just a low volume you used, but it’s still able to burn them into dust.”

Wisana who just walked up to her said jokingly. However, the little girl who was panting glanced her ruby-red eyes at the older one furiously!

“Ouch!!! Why’d you kick me, you crazy kid!”

And it seemed like the temporary peace pact they made earlier had now been violated as well.

“I almost did not survive, but you still have that joyful face, what’s that supposed to mean?!”

“What?! And what did I do wrong?” Wisana raised his eyebrows. “Finally, I came to save you, didn’t I? And you’re not hurt anywhere, so why are you complaining?!”

“I don’t know. It’s just your fault.”

“Huh? This is what is called bullying, you know, brat.”

“Hold on a second, please stop fighting, you two.”

The one who always came to stop the war like Jinnie spoke up but with a little bit more panicked voice than usual. So, the two caught eyes for a moment.

“What’s wrong, Jinnie?” Wisana asked as he summoned the fire particles on his back in readiness.

“I detected a signal of another player in the range of less than 10 meters. Please be careful because I’ve just sensed them just now. They’ve been watching us this close without me realizing it like this, they have to be someone with good skill surely.”

“A player?”

Wisana repeated the word softly. If that player could summon mummy assassins that normally lived inside the ancestor cemetery up to 4 units, and they were able to hide from Jinnie’s player detecting sensors like this. So, there was one thing that this player could possibly be.

The item hunter!!

Even though those item hunters who fought with him around 4 months ago had been arrested by Pride staff who coordinated with the police and put them in jail, Wisana still believed that there were more of them still hiding in the game. The GMs might have announced that the game system now had 100% protection, but still,

This kind of thing was not too hard for those hackers to hack anyway!

“Angie, be careful. And if something goes really wrong, you run for your life, got that?”

The girl paused for a moment. She looked like she was about to argue, but after she saw the look in the eyes of the older one, she grudgingly put all her words down her throat. She thought that she should listen to the experienced one. At least Wisana had fought with those item hunters before.

“Got that.”

Hearing that, Wisana smiled with relief. If he did not have to worry about Angela, he would be able to fight them with full strength!

CRANK!!

At that moment, his ears, which had many times better hearing sense than other people, happened to catch the sound of some rocks falling from high ground. And that was it. The pair of blood-colored eyes stared at that spot that did not have anyone there but an abandoned house with the front door opening wide, showing only the darkness inside the house.

“Who’s there? Show yourself now!!” Wisana growled with such a powerful voice that even Angie was startled by it. “I’m going to count to three. If you don’t come out by then, you’ll be crispy burned inside that house!”

His words did not make anyone reveal themselves at all. And seeing that, his eyebrows started knitting together now.

“One!”

He started counting like he had warned, and not only that, he also summoned a blazing fire on his right palm in the most intimidating way. The flame was vividly red. The violence of the fire showed that it could blow that building into dust in the blink of an eye.

“Two!”

It was halfway through the counting now, but there was still no response from anyone. Angela gulped down unintentionally, while Wisana was clicking his tongue out of displeasure. He did not really want to use violence to solve this problem, but it could not be helped now...

So, he held his right hand up to the back, getting ready to throw the firebomb instantly.
