Chapter 287: Battle and The Mist Part V
Chapter 287: Battle and The Mist Part V
CLAP! CLAP! CLAP!
Unexpectedly, the response he got was clapping. Wisana paused the attack for a moment, while he was narrowing his red eyes as he searched for the source of the voice he confirmed, it came from inside that house.
“Excellent!!”
A raspy compliment of a man came after. Wisana rushed to guard Angela right away, before waving the fire in his hand to get ready.
“Honestly, you really impressed me, Mister Vincent. I’m giving you a 100 percent score for that.”
The man continued. He was a tall man with the age around 26 years old. His face had a hint of playfulness there. His hair was short, blue, and messy. Those almond eyes were behind a pair of dull glasses, while they were smiling as well as his lips.
Taking just a quick glance, this guy would be known as “an irritating one” right away.
“So, let me congratulate you guys a bit.”
The blue-haired man kept on talking just like that. He walked out of the door for Wisana to see him clearly, and that was when he found out that there were two women tailing behind him as well.
The newcomers looked similar to each other like they were twins. They kept their shiny black hair in twin tails, but that did not make them look less intimidating at all.
“Alright, congratulate them, Thong Yip, Thong Yod.”
The man turned to command the girls. And what happened after was they both grabbed something out from behind them. The first one had a trumpet out to play a victory theme song that sounded like a fantasy game when the main character defeated a boss. Meanwhile, the other girl had a party popper and pulled the confetti out in celebration.
And it had to be reminded that they did all of that with an emotionless face and without a mood to do so at all!
“Good job, girls.” The glasses man smiled delightedly. “Alright, let’s discuss the details now. Shall we, Mister Vinc...hey!!”
SHING!!!
Without wasting any more time, Wisana approached the man as fast as blinking. The flame in his hand had turned into a fit-size Katana sword for him to press against the other’s throat scarily.
“Master.”
The two girls spoke in the same monotone voice.
“Don’t move, or I burn you.”
The threat in the kid’s voice came from the little mage who was standing next to him. In front of the twins appeared a long scepter with sparkling crystal on the tip, a warning that it was ready to shoot destroyer magic out any time! And the serious look in Angela’s eyes sent a clear statement that she did not hesitate to do what she said.
“YIKES! Mister, what are you doing? Why suddenly put the sword against my neck like this?”
“Stop talking,” Wisana said in a cold voice. “You’re an item hunter, aren’t you? You’re here to rob my items again, right? You never learn, huh.”
Hearing that, the man with glasses hurriedly put his hands up like he was surrendering.
“I’m not an item hunter, I swear. It must be some kind of misunderstanding now.”
“Misunderstanding?” Wisana repeated. “How’s it misunderstanding? You know my name, my face, and you knew that I was going to be here, so you came waiting for me. Moreover, you had been hiding there without my AI detecting your signal. So, who else can you be if not an item hunter? The head of the association of peeping on people?!”
“No, that’s not it.” The one who had a sword pointed close to his neck screamed. “I got a contact from the class registration office that there would be a player named Vincent coming here to ask for a class quest, that’s why I came here to welcome you as well. And about why your AI couldn’t detect me, that’s because I was using stealth magic that even an AI cannot find me. Also, your face is everywhere on the cover of magazines, so who wouldn’t recognize you?!”
Hearing that, Wisana rolled his eyes as he was considering it. He started to feel like this guy’s words sounded more reliable now, but there were many more things that were bugging him still!
“What about those mummy assassins?! The monsters normally live in the ancestor cemetery, so how did you summon them out if you didn’t use any kind of cheating program?”
“Wait, listen!” The glasses man yelled. “I summoned those mummies by the scripture of undead-type monsters summoning. It’s a best seller in the market recurrently with the ability to summon any monster from the undead type to fight in a specified period of time. You can have your AI check that if you don’t believe me.”
Wisana was still for one moment. He did not even have to order Jinnie to do it, because a while later, Jinnie spoke up for only him to hear.
“He told the truth.”
Hearing that, Wisana let out a harsh sigh.
“Put down your weapon, Angie. This guy isn’t an item hunter. He’s just some guy who likes to do something silly. That’s all.”
He said, shaking his head wearily, before turning the sword in his hand into fire particles quickly. At the same time, Angela threw her scepter up, before it disappeared into the air. The glasses man and the twin-tails girls let out a sigh of relief, though the twin did it with the usual emotionless faces.
“You startled me, pointing the sword at my neck like that. If your hand slipped, I’d have been drowning in my own blood surely.”
The glasses man pouted at Wisana, which he just responded to with a loud snorting sound.
“You summoned those mummies to assassinate me. So, pointing the sword at your neck was a genuinely nice way to respond already. I could have burned you down with that building, you know.”
“Oh, fair enough. We’re equal then.”
Instead of getting angry with Wisana’s provoking words, this guy got along with him just like that. And that made the one who meant to burn the other with the insult raise his eyebrows, before glancing at the girl beside him, looking displeased.
“So, who are you exactly?” Wisana asked, sounding fully like he wanted to cut to the chase.
"Oh, sorry, I forgot to introduce myself."
The glasses man put his hand on his chest and gave Wisana a sweet smile.
“My name is Lexiera, the Zaraza XIII, but you can call me Lex, for short. And I prefer that name because that’s what most people call me.”
Wisana did not ask anything more. He just looked at the two girls behind the man as a question instead.
“Oh, these two are my NPC. This one is Thong Yip and this one is Thong Yod.”
Lex introduced the girls to them perfunctorily, while the girls were curtsying down in greeting politely. Wisana nodded and the first thing that he admired about this Lex guy was how he could tell Thong Yip and Thong Yod apart. Because from Wisana’s eyes, he did not see any differences between these two!
“Do you have anything to do with us?”
“Of course,” Lex said with a big smile on his face. ‘I’m the one you’re looking for, Mister Vincent. I am Lexiera Zaraza XIII, the thirteenth generation of the dragon master office. In other words, I’m the current master of the dragon warriors class, the one who has to give you your class quest.”
Stunned...
Still stunned...
Wisana was like that for a straight five seconds. And it was not just him, but Angela as well. Right now, they both were in the same state of shock which was eyes bulging like an egg!
“Master of the dragon warrior class!!!”
After he could find his voice, the sassy one yelled resoundingly, while Lex was smiling knowingly.
“That’s me.”
This was bad, Wisana!!
He was looking for the guy to ask for the class quest, and he just put the sword to his throat like that. A hint of the disaster had started showing now!!
