Chapter 266: Our 4 Months Together Part IV

“H ...hello, Miss Marisa.”

“How many times have I told you to call me Kaew already?”

The woman greeted back quickly as she walked up to pat him on the shoulder.

“Er, ...I don’t think that will be appropriate, at least not here, in the workplace.”

“Come on, we’ll be related soon anyway. Don’t be too formal.” She said, then winked at Wisana.

This nice body woman was named Marisa. She was the manager of the art department of Pride company. She might look young, but she was one of the skilled people in her field, and in charge in this position without any doubt from anyone. Moreover, she was the biological aunt of the slim girl who was standing next to her with a frowning face and a firing look in her eyes toward him as well!

“You three are here for me to sign for your internship application’s approval, right?” Marisa turned to ask everyone. And the three nodded like they were not sure if they should speak up in this stressed-out situation. But seeing that, the oldest one here curled up a smile.

“Then follow me inside. I have something to show you as well.”

She led the visitors inside the room, and Wisana was about to hurry and catch up with her right away, unless there was a hand grabbing him by his upper arm, making him stop.

Even though he was sending his friends the eyes that asked for some help, Nuchjaree only replied to him briefly, saying.

“I’ll take care of your application. So, you stay here and fix your problems.”

She said and took the folder in his hand inside, leaving the man gasping. And when he tried to protest, Marisa just turned and gave him another smile as she demanded with a sweet voice.

“Oh, and Na, go deal, uh, ...I mean go see your father at his office after you two talk, okay? He said he had something to talk to you about.”

“Y ...yes? Wait, Miss Marisa, don’t leave me now...”

The hopelessness was built up after the sound of the door closing. Right now, he was standing on the same spot with a pounding heart of thrill, because he could feel the dark aura like a monsoon getting formed up from behind.

“H ...hi, babe. What are you doing here? I thought you went shopping with Nam or something.”

The man was trying to act cool as he turned to look at those grey eyes. However, convincing her this way was totally not working, because she just raised her eyebrows in reply with an upset expression.

“Come on. ...You’re so screwed now, Wisana.” He spoke to himself.

“Who were you talking to?” The voice that used to be so sweet now sounded so cold that the listener got a trembling shiver somehow.

“I was talking to Orn.”

“Why did you have to talk to Orn in that voice? Why did you call her Honey?!”

“Ouch, ouch, ouch. That hurts, Babe. Easy now. My ear’s gonna fall off.”

Wisana barely put that into words, not because he was pressured to answer the questions intensely, but because his ear was being twisted like a car key by the hand of the questioner, and it felt like it was going to tear apart from his head right now!

“W ...well, that’s just how I talk with Orn normally. It’s nothing.”

“Liar!” Maysa talked back in a high-pitched voice. “Deep down, you still like her, right? Or else you wouldn’t make that baby voice when you talked to her like that.”

“ARGH!!!”

The one who was in pain yelled out because apart from the ear, the foot was getting stepped on by the smaller one as well.

“It wasn’t like that. W ...well, I asked her to find Professor Pisan’s photobook. The one you said you wanted, remember? It happens that her uncle works at a publisher, and he’s found one already. So, I was just thanking them. That’s all.”

Hearing that, Maysa’s face seemed to be a bit softer, but she was still not letting go of the ear of this cheeky man that easily.

“What about you calling her Honey...?”

“I was just teasing. You should know what kind of a person I am. I only love you, May. Definitely only you!!”

And with this shout, every sound in the area became silent. The hand that was twisting his ear just now, started loosening up. The foot that was crushing his toes was decreasing its pressure. Those grey eyes looked down as the red blush appeared on her cheeks. So, how could she keep getting mad at him, when the words “I love you.” seemed to soothe the girl down every time? So, this time, she let this irritating man get away with it again.

“Are you crazy? Why would you shout that out loud for everyone to hear like that? You don’t get embarrassed at all?”

“But you understand me now, right?”

He said, rubbing his ear as he forced up a completely wry smile.

“Woah, this guy gets really brave. Confessing his love out loud in the middle of the office, huh? That’s so cool.”

Followed by gossip in a close range from behind, making Wisana hurriedly turn to look at them and see a hint of his two annoying best friends and one aunt’s heads moving back in the room at an incredible speed after they got busted for sneakily overhearing their conversation.

These jackasses had been listening the whole time, but none of them helped him with this situation at all.

His ear almost fell off!!

“Come on, gorgeous, you should have listened to my explanation before going for my ear like that. You’re getting mean like my mom, more and more every day, you know? If you do this more often, I think...”

“You think what?”

Maysa cut him off with a voice that sounded ready to fight, making Wisana swallow those words back down in his throat. Then he forced up a plain, wry smile at her instantly.

“I think that I’ll love you just the same. My love will never fade. It will be eternity.”

The listener did not say anything in reply, just narrowing her eyes half-believing. And the one who kept talking could only mutter his lips in the other direction, seeming like, ‘I’ll get back at this someday...’

“Don’t do it again.” She said in a sulking voice.

Hearing that, he started feeling relieved. Judging from her tone and wording, he knew that she had calmed down now. Her lips started to frown a little, a sign that the usual Maysa was about to come back.

“Still not reconciling?”

“There, there, I’m sorry about that. Well, I never thought that my baby was going to be that angry. If you don’t like it, I won’t do that again.”

The cheeky man seemed like he knew the steps well, so he rushed in to cling to her instantly. He was just putting his arms around her waist loosely, while he was making that cute, pleading face at her. And that was already enough to get her heart now.

Maysa could only make that sulking face in his arm grudgingly. It was not like she wanted to act mean to him or anything. But she did not know why every time Warunya, the girl that his guy used to like, got involved with him, she would lose it and act like always.

Now that she felt guilty about it, she was just going to let him hug her with a blushing face like this for a while.

Meanwhile, the man felt relieved that his girlfriend had been back to her true self.

“You haven’t answered me yet. How did you get here? You didn’t go shopping with Nam?” Wisana asked.

“I did. But Kaew forgot her stuff, so I brought it to her here. Then she told me that you guys were about to be here, so I waited to see you. Then I heard you talking to... Sorry. I didn’t mean to.”

Seeing Maysa had calmed down now, Wisana started to have a smile on his face again as he stroked her hair gently.

“It’s okay. I’m tough enough to deal with that. Anyway, Orn’s really found Professor Pisan’s photobook, you know. It will take about two weeks to arrive, then I’ll go get it for you. But that has to be after my trip to visit my mom in Chiang Mai. I just think you would like it. You’ve been saying that you want one for a long time, right?”
