Chapter 267: Our 4 Months Together Part V

Chapter 267: Our 4 Months Together Part V

“It’s okay. I’m tough enough to deal with that. Anyway, Orn’s really found Professor Pisan’s photobook, you know. It will take about two weeks to arrive, then I’ll go get it for you. But that has to be after my trip to visit my mom in Chiang Mai. I just think you would like it. You’ve been saying that you want one for a long time, right?”

“Yeah, I like that. You even tried to get one for me. Thank you.”

The girl said with a gentle smile, making the other rub her hair softly as he pushed her back to walk forward.

“Where are we going? Kaew’s room is right there.” Maysa turned to ask.

“Didn’t you listen to her? My dad needs us.”

The listener paused a little.

“Wait, hold on, he only needs you, doesn’t he? Why are you bringing me as well?”

“Come on, it’s been 4 months since we were together. Showing off my bride-to-be to him now won’t hurt.”

“Are you crazy? What’s up with the bride thing? No, I haven’t prepared for this.”

“There is no need to prepare for this kind of thing, Babe. You just do it.”

“Huh?”

Wisana managed to pull his girlfriend to the elevator again, without minding her most frustrated-looking face.

After she answered him with a brief ‘yes.’ and a tearing up smile on the day, their relationship had been going on for four months already. Many things had changed, according to how it felt right. First, the names that they used to refer to each other showed how close to each other they had become. Second, his possessiveness got worse.

This was the first time that Wisana was possessive over someone who was not his family. And of course, if he was asked about it, he would insist that he was “protective,” not “possessive.”

For this reason, their relationship had been going sweetly for the last four months. Maysa was also glad that her aunt accepted Wisana easily. Moreover, she seemed to have liked her niece’s boyfriend so much that she kept repeating to Maysa to “Hold on to him tight. And do not let go.”

And this kind of advice had come from her more often lately, and that made Maysa tired of it.

“You just have a relationship with a boyfriend for the first time. So, you wouldn’t know how to act.” That was one of the pieces of advice that the aunt always put in Maysa’s head.

Marisa told her niece that as a girl, she needed to know when to compromise, so she could be cute. Also, she had to speak softly and politely with him, that was girls’ charm. And that she had to keep him fast, because this kind of man was so hard to find, like finding a needle in a haystack.

And so much more advice that Maysa heard from her almost three times a day like eating meals.

But the man’s family was not doing any less. After his beloved dad learned from his daughter Waree that her brother officially had a girlfriend for the first time, the dad even seemed to be more excited about it than when he had his first child.

His father insisted that Wisana bring his girlfriend to meet him many times, especially during the first month of their relationship when his dad called him every day to give him headaches!

To be honest, it was kind of tough for Wisana to get through that hell month.

Not including this nonsense, their love had been going well. It was their first time in a sincere relationship, but they both could do their rules greatly. Even though they got stuck with something sometimes, that still was not a problem. Their love was blooming so nicely that the other ones around them started to get tired of this couple now.

----------------

“Ready? I’m knocking on the door now.”

Wisana asked with a smiley face, while they were standing in front of the office door on the highest floor of the building, which was the area for the chief executives especially. The wooden door had a shiny metal sign on it with letters carved in the words, Mawin Sinpitakkul, and Consultant.

“W ...wait, this is not a common thing, you know. Well, ...it’s your dad I’m meeting.” Maysa said with a nervous voice.

He remembered well that she made this expression for the first time when he teasingly kissed her cheek in public a long time ago. Thinking about that again made him amused and fond of her somehow.

“Don’t worry. Dad isn’t a scary person or anything. He’s just an old goofy playful man, that’s all. I assure you he’s going to like you. Trust my head on that.”

“But, well, ...I’m really not ready to meet your family that much, you know...”

Seeing his loved one’s worried face, he then curled up a slight smile at her.

“Then try this,” Wisana said with a casual voice. “Hold my hand.”

He said as he handed her his hand. Maysa looked into those amber eyes for a moment, before placing her hand in his hand easily.

“Now, take a deep breath.”

She did as he told her without doubting.

“Better?” He asked.

“Yeah, but I’m still excited a little.” The voice that replied to him was shaking a bit.

“A kiss might help with that then.”

“Watch it!”

Not just saying, because she was already putting her hand up like she was about to do what she had warned him as well. But Wisana only let out a dry laugh, holding his hands up in giving up. Clearly, his teasing was working because Maysa started to look a bit less tensed up now.

“Come on, don’t worry about that, trust me. My dad has the same type of people as me, so you can be sure that he’s going to like you as well.”

“You’re sure?” She repeated.

“Of course.”

After getting the confirmation, the girl nodded slightly as she curled up a relieved smile.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

Wisana did not wait any longer to knock on the door right away, getting a firing look from Maysa’s eyes intensely. But the other just smirked annoyingly back at her. And she did not even get a chance to protest, because there was a voice coming from the other side of the door.

“Who’s there?”

“It’s me, Dad. I’m here as you asked now.”

“Oh, it’s my kiddo. Come on in.”

The prudent voice had become delightful in a second, unlike Maysa’s face which was in deep anxiety.

“Come on. Let’s get in. You’ll like him as well.”

“W ...wait.”

The door was opened without minding the protestor. The light came from the large glass window in the back to the outside of the room, as well as a classic song, if he was not wrong, from Mozart playing softly, too.

Wisana held Maysa’s hand who grudgingly followed him inside the neat-looking room. There was a large desk in front of the glass window, showing a wide view of Bangkok city. And the song was being played by an old-fashioned vinyl record player in a corner of the room. The wall was decorated with many arts, looking pretty and tasteful. If no one had said that this was an office, Maysa would have thought that it was a living room in some high-class mansion somewhere now.

“Took you so long to get your ass up here and say hi. Don’t you know that old people get lonely often?”

A delighted voice came from the other side of the room. And when Maysa turned and looked, she saw three men sitting in a nice set of leather couches in one corner. Each of them was dressed in a suit, while they were doing the activity that was very fit for this place, which was...

Playing chess!

“Well, your words don’t really go along with what I see here, Dad.”

“Hey! Don’t judge me by my look. You have to look inside my heart!”

The son could only let out a sigh before he looked at the rest of them. One was a middle-aged man who was bold and plump with a kind-look face. Wisana hurriedly pressed his hands together in greeting for that man, before Maysa did the same awkwardly.

“Hello, Uncle Tep. Thank you for still lowering yourself to hang out with my dad until today.”
