Chapter 245: Strike Back! Part VII
Chapter 245: Strike Back! Part VII
“So, it really was. You knew so well that she was going to kiss you, ...KYA!”
But Maysa did not finish her sentence when she had to draw back and yell out loudly. And that was because the man in front of her suddenly leaned in so close that their lips almost touched. Even though they did not actually kiss, how he approached her so quickly still made her stunned anyway.
“W ...what are you doing?”
She asked in a soft voice like she had lost all the energy to yell all of a sudden.
“If I didn’t stop here, would you be able to avoid that in time?”
Wisana asked with a soft smile. His playful voice had turned into a cozy and warm tone that made her frustration melt away in a blink.
“No, I wouldn’t.” She shook her head slightly.
“I wouldn’t, too. Suddenly she just leaped up and kissed me. It was never my intention to let her do that.” He said, then smirked. “Also, what kind of person do you think I am, huh? I will never be glad just because a pretty girl kisses me if I don’t like that girl, you know.”
After that, he winked at her at close range. And Maysa who unintentionally caught his eyes started feeling that her heart was pounding even faster.
“So, now, stop getting me wrong, babe, okay?”
Then his hands were cupping around the girl’s face. She was speechless, but still nodded in understanding. And seeing that, the man grinned widely, let out a chuckle, and then let go of her. He looked at Jinnie like he was communicating with her about something as Maysa whispered,
“Next time, ...don’t do this again.”
Wisana heard her, but he did not say anything more. He only nodded, even though he was not sure if she meant to tell him not to approach her like that again, or not to kiss other girls in front of her eyes.
So, he acted like he was not bothered by that, then laughed to change the subject.
“Anyway, do you have any MP potion with you? I really need it to restore my MP. When I don’t have any of it in me like this, I feel like I’m unable to fight anything right now.”
“O ...oh, yeah, I do.”
The girl was glad that the other changed the subject so smartly when the atmosphere started to get too quiet a while ago.
“Speaking of potions, let me ask you something.”
“Yeah?”
“Have you lost your mind to bring only one type of potion for 9 bottles like that? And they’re all Magtiria. What part of you came up with that idea?!”
“This part right here.”
The irritating one pointed at his head. Then Maysa who was about to continue scolding could only chuckle, before shaking her head wearily.
“Not the brain, but it was purely your instinct to look for trouble, huh.”
“I don’t disagree with that.”
And then, they both laughed. And their atmosphere started getting back to normal again quickly. Maysa managed to open her inventory up to grab a blue potion out and hand it to Wisana right away.
“I only have blue potion. Is it okay?”
“It’s okay.”
Wisana took the blue bottle of blueberry flavor potion that had the ability to restore 50 MP per bottle and dispel most of the negative conditions for the player.
It did not take long for Wisana to pull the cork out and drink the potion all in one gulp. He looked like he had been thirsty for years, making the watchers like Maysa and Jinnie slip out a chuckle right away.
“My MP only went up for a bit.” The one who just threw the empty bottle on the ground made a withered voice.
“It’s okay, Master,” Jinnie said smilingly. “Blue potion can dispel most of the negative conditions anyway. And right now, it’s probably erased the “not recovering” debuff that makes the player unable to restore their HP and MP on their own. But Master’s level is quite high now, so take a rest for about 15 minutes and your MP should restore back to full bar again.”
“Um, okay then. Thanks, Jinnie.”
“You’re welcome.” Jinnie smiled sweetly in reply.
“Didn’t you bring a piece of the seed of Eden with you? It can restore both your HP and MP in full, can’t it? Why don’t you use that?”
Maysa asked, making Wisana scratch his cheek.
“I’ve already used it to fight with those item hunters.”
Hearing that, Maysa paused right away.
“Even though you had the seed of Eden to boost up your energy like that, you still had to be hiding here with your wounds and bruises?”
“Well,” The man shrugged. “The more difficult the plan was, the more risk I had to take. It wasn’t just the seed of Eden, but I also risked my life with it as well. One mistake, and I was doomed. But everything turned out fine in the end, so, I think it’s okay.”
Maysa smiled slightly at his words. She had to admit that this side of Wisana was better than her in the way that she would never compare with how he was so brave to bet it all in, and how he had a strong mind that would not break down in any situation.
This was the thing that she admired the most about Wisana.
This was the ability of a true leader!
“Oh, that’s right. Somebody asked me to give this to you.”
Then she realized that there was a guy asking her to bring an item to his smart boss as well. So, she brought it out of her inventory window, before tossing it to Wisana, who was sitting down on the floor as he waited for his MP to restore.
“What’s that ring?”
Wisana, who had just taken the silver ring from her, looked right at it with unfamiliarity with the item.
“That’s the Butterfly Effect.”
“Huh? Like, my Butterfly Effect? How come it’s turned into a ring now?”
Maysa smiled widely at the question.
“About that, I think you should go ask your production manager how he did it. I just volunteered to bring it to you. That’s all.”
Hearing that, Wisana smiled widely as well, before flipping the ring in his hand and seeing that there were some magic characters carved into it, looking strangely beautiful. Then, he nodded, feeling satisfied.
“This design is better than the scarf though. I didn’t like it that much back then. It was too hot when I wore it.”
After speaking, he put that ring on his finger right away. And it was like the ring was specially made for him only because it fit around his right ring finger perfectly.
After he put on the new Butterfly Effect, there was instantly a light green information window popping up in front of Wisana, making the amber eyes look at it curiously.
“What’s this? I just put it on and the information window appeared right away.”
“That’s probably how to use this ring,” Maysa said with a smile. “He said he made it for you especially to study this item. So, I think you should read it, while you’re taking a rest here.”
She said and winked, before turning to Jinnie who was about to float closer to read the information on the screen with her master as well.
“Do you have a minute, Jinnie?” Maysa grabbed her arm.
“Yes?”
Maysa smiled widely right after the other answered.
“Before you go to your master, I have so many things to ask about your ability. Because, if you can appear in person like this, it means that you’re able to fight now, right?”
“About the fighting, I’m afraid that I can’t do much. But using support magic skills, I can definitely do that, because I’m in a supportive class, not attack.”
Hearing that, Maysa nodded.
“I see. So, it’s really not necessary for NPCs to play the same class as their masters, huh?” She said, then winked.
“Why did you ask, Miss?”
