Shin even let out a long sigh now. And maybe that was because there was a blizzard bringing and throwing many icicles at the boss, making it scream out of pain right away.

“A mage?” Shin spoke up, glancing at the top of a building near him. Above him, there was a player who was not quite tall with a loose coat and a scepter. And then, there was another player running in from the back side of the enemy, a man with a massive axe!

The man drew the axe up, before swinging it at Balrog’s back, making it scream out of pain. And Shin creased his mouth a little when the huge damage points popped up.

Other players were gathering to kill the first boss now. Shin felt a bit regret that he could not kill it with the attack earlier. He even had the chance to kill it before that, too. If he used the Crisis Nova on it, he knew that the skill would cause more than 10 million damage points surely, and that would bring him a whole 100 thousand points.

But that would not be worth it...

Because he would have been unable to use the water element Longinus for the rest of the competition.

“What’s this? I really thought I wouldn’t make it here in time. This is such a disreputation of a shoo-in, Shin.”

And then, there was an annoying voice of someone speaking, making Shin turn to look at the man with a provoking gesture and green messy hair that was pointing in all directions.

“Tryne?”

“Aw, could you make a bit happier face after meeting an old friend?”

The man named Tryne gave him a wide smile right away. But the one who was greeted so familiarly did not show any emotion on his face. It was not wrong to call it scary cold.

“Damn, I’m so tired of a face like this of yours.”

“What’s your problem? If you’re here to make some score from the boss, then you should hurry up before the others kill it, rather than waste your time talking with me here.”

Hearing that, Tryne chuckled, rolling his eyes to Balrog that seemed to be gravely injured from getting ganged up by the other two players.

“Hurry up and kill Balrog now?” Tryne smiled widely right away. “I probably wouldn’t get ten thousand from it since you’ve beaten it up so bad already. And you’ve even had two spears sticking in it...”

“You’re so smart.”

Shin spoke up sarcastically, but that made Tryne burst out laughing.

“I have to know that for sure. You’re Valentine’s brother anyway. My boss warned me to keep an eye on you. And he even said that if I still couldn’t beat you this time, he wouldn’t have me back in the Dominion again.”

Hearing that, the black-haired man paused, glancing at the loudmouth next to him from the corner of his eyes.

“Then I think you should start looking for a new guild now because I won’t lose to anyone ever again!”

Tryne did not smile, nor frown. He just snorted out of his throat, while he was looking at the other like he was testing him.

“Being too confident would trip you over.”

“Just watch if it trips me or not then.”

After his voice ended, Shin launched off without looking at Tryne anymore. Even though the man with the broom hairstyle was chuckling like he was amused by the competitive habit of Shin, those eyes that gazed after the man were flashing with a strong rage.

“Then show me your abilities, Shin,” Tryne said to himself.

Shin did not wait any longer to grab a magic crystal he was carrying by his waist before he summoned out two more Longinus spears which were the ones from fire and air elements!

His hands grabbed the weapons firmly...

As well as those eyes that were gazing ragingly at the monster.

After the other two players who were ganging up on Balrog saw that Shin was rushing toward the enemy in a straight line, they hurriedly stepped away barely in time, because the tank was coming to take the enemy down without putting the brakes on anymore!!

Of course, Balrog saw its worst enemy coming at it again as well. It opened its mouth wide, before blowing fire out violently, aiming to burn the young crusader down to ashes at once.

“Let’s end here.”

The soft words came out of Shin’s mouth while the tall man jumped up into the air fast before he got burned by Balrog’s fire.

Without hesitation, Shin went for his spears that were sticking in its shoulders, using them as his handlebars on Balrog’s body. ...A blink later, he let himself down, before stabbing a spear in its throat harshly!

GROOOWL!!!

Balrog let out a groan once more because its body was pierced through easily. But Shin did not stop there. He was hanging onto the spear that he just stabbed in the monster’s throat, so he did not fall to the ground. One moment later, he placed his feet on Balrog’s body to kick himself away from there again.

And while he was floating in the air, he launched the last spear at the enemy!

So, right now, there were up to four spears of Shin sticking in Balrog.

And he was distant from the enemy again, making the two players who just got out of his way raise their eyebrows confusedly, not understanding what he was doing exactly. Even though he rushed in like he was about to finish it earlier, it turned out that he just stuck these spears in Balrog, and that was all.

The action that no one understood.

But it got a big smile on Tryne’s face right away. “It ends now.”

Shin pointed a finger at the enemy, while his mouth was mattering quietly.

Season Control

After he finished casting the spell, Balrog started screaming. Because every spear had started having a violent move. In the first second, the spears pierced through its body, making the blood spit. And then, the massive monster barely made a sound anymore.

While Shin’s spears were moving and attacking Balrog freely from every direction, the damage points kept popping out countless times. Eventually, the four spears started floating back to gather in front of Shin again.

The spears started circling around him. They were all pointing the blades at the enemy without loosening up at all, even though Balrog barely stood up straight right now...

Shin held his hand out in front of him, making the spears assemble in one spot. Those lavender eyes were gazing at the enemy intensely. His straight lips looked merciless. Then he reached that hand back and whipped it out to his front with full force!

A huge explosion came up violently, with Balrog’s body blown off in pieces instantly after it was attacked by the four spears accurately.

“Boss Balrog has now been eliminated. Player Shindanai has earned 97,000 bonus points for killing the station boss.”

Then the Hunting Gate’s AI made the announcement throughout the town, while the young crusader was looking at the dead enemy without changing his expression at all. As well as Tryne, he was looking at Shin’s back blended with the fire of destruction that this monster had caused just now.

And that was enough for him to swallow down his saliva right away...

“Getting fired from the guild for losing to this guy will be a bit harsh of a punishment, Boss. You want to try him yourself? This jerk is absolutely a monster.”
