Chapter 187: Versus “Ouroboros” Part II

“Waree, you...” Shin started, raising his voice.

“Do you want to die?!” Waree snapped at him. “It’s fine that you want to play solo, but don’t forget that someone is supporting you from behind as well!”

Shin was stunned. He glanced at the slim girl who took the damage for him as he frowned his eyebrows upsettingly until he summoned out another Longinus spear right away!

“Shouldn’t you stay back?” He snapped back.

“If I didn’t save you, you would have been dead by now,” Waree said with a shaking voice, holding on to her arm, because the attack a while ago was not soft at all. “...Stop showing off!”

“No, you stop showing off!”

And again, Shin had to push his strength in the spear against Ouroboros’s arm, which was smashing down insanely, before staring at Waree and grinding his teeth. Then, the tall man changed his plan to attack to carry this troublesome girl out of the way!

“Let me go, Shin. I can take care of myself!”

The brown-haired girl shouted aloud because she was being held by this tall guy right now.

“I know you can.” He spoke. “But not when you fight against Ouroboros!”

But he could not run away that far before he had to stop and shift in another direction. Because the hand of Ouroboros just struck down and missed them just an inch away.

While they both were at a disadvantage, the only mage in the party needed to cast a spell in order to pave the way for them to run. A massive thunderbolt that was like Angie’s ultimate struck down right on Ouroboros. However, that beam of light just disappeared into the air, exactly like Shin’s spear!

“What? Even Angie’s magic skill is not working either?!”

That was Maysa’s voice. She was observing the fight from afar, still shocked that with these various kinds of attacks, they could not do any harm to this monster at all!

“This is not good. My plan’s messed up. ...Get in the position, guys. What are you waiting for?!”

The chief of staff cried, raising her voice as she thought that things started to go out of her calculations!

“It’s not going to work, if you’re standing randomly like this. Get in the position, or Ouroboros will get us one by one!”

Her voice failed to remind them. Maybe it was because everyone was too panicked right now. Also, this monster’s appearance was too fast for them to get a grip. Seeing that, Wisana pressed his lips together, glancing at Maysa who seemed to be worried that she was about to lose her temper.

“It’s not going to work, May! Just surviving this damn thing is already hard to do, let alone getting in the position!”

Hearing that Maysa caught eye with her buddy knowingly as they agreed to not think about the plan right now and that they should fix the facing problem first!

The man said with a plain face, before running out of her sight. At the same time, Ouroboros, who just got attacked by Angie’s extreme lightning skill, rolled its blood-like red eyes to the little girl who was sitting on Leonard’s shoulders.

“W... Wah, it’s coming, Miss Angela!” The dog yelled panickily. “It’s going to get us now!”

“Run, Reny!” The little mage commanded. “Don’t stay still, or we both will get killed for sure.”

Leonard heard the order and it felt both glad and like to cry. It was glad that the kid on its shoulders was not crazy to tell it to run toward the enemy. And it felt like crying because he was about to get killed by Ouroboros right now. The obvious evidence was this massive fist of it that was throwing at them rapidly.

Even so, Leonard was still fast and agile, contrasting with its size of body. Though it was bumpy, it managed to zig-zag jump, avoiding the boss’s attack every time. However, he could not keep doing that for so long when the dog, the expert in running, made a mistake. The massive fist struck down in front of it, making its eyes bulge as it was about to get hit!

“Wah!! We’ve messed up, Miss Angela!” It cried out nervously.

While the deadpan-faced mage gritted her teeth tightly, accepting the fate of being struck,

“You’re just running into its way, stupid dog!”

But Tunwa was faster. The man who was assigned to be a tank of the team ran to Leonard quickly. And he even had the time to shove the tall dog out of Ouroboros’s way of attack with his foot!

So right now, there was only the tall man with a cheeky face standing in front of a straight punch of Ouroboros!

Even though he had traded some of his MP to increase armor points already, the damage from just a punch still made Tunwa cough out blood intently. And his tall figure was blown away, crashing into the wall on the mezzanine of the room!

“W... what the hell?!” Tunwa, who was buried in the wall on the mezzanine, whined in a soft voice. “My best defensive skill could only decrease a few of the damage? What kind of freaking monster are you?!”

“Tun, get out of there, idiot!” Nuchjaree shouted.

Tunwa was blown away harshly by the attack and he could not even get up now. But an arm of Ouroboros stretched out from its body, getting ready to crush him again and kill him.

Seeing that, his emerald, green eyes widened, before he smiled widely eventually.

“W... well, guess that I have to say goodbye to the world now.”

At a split second before his best friend got killed, the tall body of Wisana leaped up above that enormous arm fast. Around him, there were many marbles in diverse colors, as well as the green light spreading out from his back!
