Chapter 186: Versus “Ouroboros” Part I

Chapter 186: Versus “Ouroboros” Part I

BOOM!!!

The sound of explosion came resoundingly through the area, as well as the ground shaking on many Richter scales. But the tall body of someone was still chilling carefreely on the ground with his dominant hand holding a ceramic cup up to the pouring hot tea from a tall bottle.

“It’s started now, huh.”

The middle-aged man said to himself, before sipping the tea out of the cup in his hand.

“Are you really sure that you’re not going in there to help Wisana’s party fight?”

Another voice rang with a drawling voice. The pair of red, amber eyes were staring at the master. And the one who was being stared at grinned broadly, before putting the teacup down on the ground.

“Yeah, I’m sure, Lala.” He spoke. “If I went in, their fun would be ruined for sure. Also, this is the last test for my number one disciple, too.”

“But I’m afraid that the whole party would get killed instead,” Lala said with a concerned voice. “You should know that Ouroboros is more special than any other boss. Its form is uncertain, and its abilities are odd. ...If they don’t know how to deal with that...”

“Don’t worry.” Sander smiled widely. “Those kids won’t lose to this kind of silly thing. Moreover, my disciple has the whisper ability in him. So, when a crisis occurs, it’ll help him survive.”

“Even so, he’s not skilled enough to use it properly. Yesterday, if he hadn’t come that close to danger, he would have been killed by Lucy for sure. And you still let him...”

Sander held up his hand to stop the NPC from talking with a smile.

“Trust me, Lala. That kid is not the same person anymore.”

Hearing that, the ghost girl looked in another direction as she let out a long sigh. He was right that this was a good opportunity to test Wisana’s skills now. But she was afraid that the guy would crash and burn before he could even join that real fight!

She could not help it, because that was the Ouroboros!

“Well, if you’re worried about them that much, why won’t you go in to help them fight then?”

Sander’s question made Lala flinch right away.

“Don’t say that again, ever. Luckily Lucy’s still asleep right now. If she hears that, she’ll surely rush in to go on a rampage with them. You know that every time I’m close to Mister Wisana, Lucy’s consciousness will try to break out.”

The middle-aged man laughed out loud at her words. He shook his head slightly, before glancing at his NPC.

“Well, I guess you have a point.”

“I know right?”

“Then let’s see how my number one disciple is doing right now.”

After his words, he opened his information window up, and it was larger than other people’s. It was divided into many smaller screens, according to the number of cameras he had sent in there with the party.

----------------

BOOM!!

The loud sound was caused by a large object throwing its many tons of weight down on the ground, cracking a big hole there easily.

“Split up!”

A voice shouted a command as a slim figure just ran away from the large object barely in time. Maysa glanced her light gray eyes over her back to the spot where she had just walked in around ten minutes ago, grinding her teeth instantly.

The door room that they opened in the first place, right now was shut. After they had succeeded in summoning Ouroboros, this room just locked the party down to kill them now!

It also shut down Maysa’s plan to retreat in case they were about to lose, too!

“Vincent, look up!”

A second later, Shin’s alarm came resoundingly, making Maysa look up, too. And then she saw Wisana, who was standing closest to the enemy, was about to get crushed by that huge weapon that was swinging down again!

Of course, Wisana was fast enough to roll himself away from that deadly attack easily, looking like he was dancing even.

BOOM!!

Even though the attack was heavy, it was still too lumbering for Wisana to let the opportunity go that easily. So, after he evaded it, Wisana summoned fire magic, making it blaze on his right hand.

“Level 3, fire summoning magic...”

Rising Frame!

Without hesitation, he flicked that hand to shoot the fire at the enemy quickly. And in a blink, another level of Wisana turned that fire magic to be a large sword that stabbed right through the Enemy’s body accurately!

“Ignite!”

Wisana commanded. He snapped his fingers slightly and the sword that stuck in the center of the enemy’s body exploded with the impact spreading out in a large circle!

BOOM!

8,623!

“Come on! That was all the damage that my explosive sword could do to it?!”

Wisana clicked his tongue out of displeasure. But he did not have that much time to rest, because his attack just now had provoked the enemy to turn at him again by smashing the huge object that looked like a palm down at him with full strength. Anyway, he could dodge that, even though it was only inches away.

“That was close...” Wisana blew out a sigh of relief softly.

“Get in the position as we’ve planned, guys. Don’t get panicked by it!”

That was Maysa shouting in a high-pitched tone. It seemed like this boss’s appearance messed up the party’s positions quite a lot. Her pink lips pressed together tightly before she opened her information window to check the enemy’s stats that were immensely flooding in.

“What the hell is this?” The girl cursed.

“What’s wrong?” Wisana asked after he ran up to join her.

“It’s Ouroboros’s data.” She cast the screen for Wisana to look at it. “I just told Al to analyst its abilities stats, but what it got is these immense numbers of magic kinds and its ability to change that I don’t understand.”

Just after a glimpse of the numbers running on the screen, Wisana smiled nervously instantly.

Why was she showing him numbers? He could not understand it at all!

Then he looked at the deadly enemy again. It was now confirmed that it was the worst of all the monsters he had countered with.

It was 20 meters tall with six massive arms. Its bloody red eyes were staring at the party who dared wake it up from two years of sleep. It had this ugly body, looking like a rotten meat lump that could not be indicated what kind of creature it was. The only thing that was sure was that those six arms could move as fast as the wind!

BOOM!!

Then, its other arm lashed down at another one who was the nearest like Shin. However, his experience told him to use the shape end like a base to flip jump from the attack like pole vaulting.

“Shin!” Wisana shouted.

“Stop shouting, Vincent.”

The owner of lavender-colored eyes said softly after he could stand on his feet again.

“Instead of just watching there, isn’t it better to start getting in the position that we’ve planned?”

BOOM!!

1,500!

As fast as a thought, an arm was going straight down to attack Shin dead. But he could strike back coldly by casting the Longinus out at it right away, making the arm of Ouroboros that was many times bigger than him bounce back up.

Not waiting any longer, the cold crusader took the opportunity of the enemy being careless to draw his holy weapon back fully and launch it out, aiming at the head sharply.

CLANG!!

Shin was shocked, his eyes widened. He was confident that his attack would not miss, but somehow the Longinus spear crashed into something before it could even get to Ouroboros before it was broken in half and disappeared instantly as well!

When Ouroboros saw its little enemy did not have any weapons left in his hands, it attacked instantly, making Shin clench his jaws...

Reflex Shield!

26,987!

“Ouch!”

But it was Waree who came in and took the attack in time. She dropped her knees to the ground. Even though the attack did damage to Ouroboros, the impact still made the white guardian tremble anyway.

“Waree, you...”
