Chapter 182: The First Assemble Part IV
Chapter 182: The First Assemble Part IV
“Don’t worry, Nam.” The chief of staff said. “I’m confident in my perception no less than anyone else, too. So, when I say I’ll do it, it means that I can do it. Also, the three of us have unique styles of attacks, and they all are useful in the front line just the same.”
Waree understood this point so well, too...
Shin was an expert in piercing through enemies, no matter how big their sizes were or how thick the armor they had.
Wisana was good at slashing enemies to death in one hit. He had his instinct to find the fatal weak point of an enemy, the ability that the party needed.
And Maysa had various flexible skills. Her bullets were varied in abilities, and they would be a lot useful for the team in crisis time.
But well, that still did not stop Waree from being worried, because she had never fought alongside Maysa before. So, she had no idea about the chief of staff’s skills. If it was the other two guys, she would not have been worried this much.
“I’ll be fine, trust me.”
Maysa repeated like she could read her mind. So, Waree agreed with that grudgingly. After seeing that, the chief of staff smiled widely, because Waree was not the first to be concerned about her like this. The first one was Shin. After he listened to the plan, he looked quite worried, too, but he just did not express it on his face.
“I’ll move on to the second group now.” Maysa continued explaining her plan. “This group will be Nuch, Tunwa, Leonard, and Angie.”
She said then another information window popped up with the abilities of people she just called their names. And those who got called pointed at themselves, as if they were asking, ‘It was their turn now?’
“You guys will be fighting from medium range, focusing on attacking from a distance. And you will be the main damage of the party, especially you, Angie, I’m counting on you.”
Maysa turned to wink at the little mage, who was still sitting on Leonard’s shoulders.
“I hope that your magic will be brilliant like how Wisana bragged about it to me, little girl.”
“I’m way beyond whatever that guy said. Just wait and see with your own eyes.”
Angie nodded with an emotionless face. And Maysa was glad to hear that.
“I have a question, too, gorgeous.”
This time, it was Tunwa who raised his hand with a sour expression.
“...Yes?”
“Well, I sent my abilities information to you yesterday, but why am I on this team?” He said, frowning. “I play in the guardian class, sis. Why did you put me on the medium-range attack team? Isn’t it better to have me in the front line instead?”
The owner of the light grey eyes smiled at him so cutely, showing her dimples.
“That’s right.” She spoke. “Because you’re a guardian, that’s why I need to put you on this team. Think about it. Your level is 50. It’s of a medium level, not too high and not too low. You don’t have many attack points, but your armor point is at a sky-high level. So, I want you to be the defender for these two fragile girls.”
She finished speaking and rolled her eyes to Nuchjaree and Angie.
“Nuch plays magic archer class, and Angie is a mage. They all have very few armor points, so that will be your job.”
“So, my job is taking damages for these two, right?”
Tunwa said wearily, before glancing at Nuchjaree who was smiling like usual. She seemed satisfied quite a lot that he had to take the attacks for her!
“Come on, Tun.” Wisana smiled cunningly. “Taking some damage for your loved one doesn’t hurt. Take care of your girlfriend well, or she’d be sulking at you. Don’t you know that girls like being cared for?”
“Na!!”
It did not have to be guessed that the enemies, or sometimes the lovers, snapped at the same time unconsciously. And that was all to make Wisana shrug with a cunning smile.
“Why did you speak at the same time with me?!” The two turned to yell at each other in unison again.
“No, you did!”
“Stop imitating me!”
“Jerk!”
Not just once, but four times in a roll. Right now, the two enemies were trying to cover the other’s mouth to stop one from saying the same thing again, drawing every eye to look at them strangely.
“This is what is called true love.”
“Stop teasing your friends already.”
The cheeky one turned to grin at Maysa, who was shaking her head amusedly before she walked in between them to stop them from fighting.
“I hope that you two will get along this well in the fight,” she said, smiling amusedly before turning to look at Nuchjaree. “And Nuch, your job is to attack wildly like you did along the way here, okay?”
The young woman with a bold characteristic like a tomboy paused a little, but she curled up a smile finally.
“Trust me on that.”
“Great.” The chief of staff smiled sweetly, before glimpsing at Leonard. “And you, Leonard, I want you to be Angie’s legs and get the support items like curse dispel or buffing HP ready. That’s all.”
“Roger that, Miss Maysa.” The dog agreed in an unsure manner.
“Oh, and always be alert.”
“...Y ...yes, miss!”
“And don’t be too scared. There’s nothing bad going to happen.”
“I ...I’m not scared, miss!”
“Yeah, the tail between your legs says otherwise though.”
Maysa smiled broadly, pointing at the tail of this big NCP. And its eyes followed her finger, before baring its teeth to cover up the embarrassment.
“Uh, ...This is what is called shaking from the urge to fight, miss!”
“Alright, I’ll believe you.”
The pretty girl held up her hand to touch the doggo’s buff arm, before walking past it to where Waree and Warunya were standing.
“Move on to the third group, which is you and Warunya,” Maysa spoke with a gorgeous smile. “You two will be supporting every one of us from behind. Your job is to use every skill you have to support us according to the suitability of the situation. It can be restoring the HP, healing, or using any spells.”
“Are you sure that you don’t want me to be a tanker?” Waree asked.
Actually, she wanted to be the one who took the damage in the second group instead of Tunwa. Even though she did not play in a tanker class fully, she was still confident that at least her level was higher, and she had more suitable defensive magic spells.
“Yes, I am.” The chief of staff grinned widely. “You’re the one in our party who has healing skills and various kinds of spells to adapt to every situation. If I put you in the position to take the damage, and it happens that you die, then the party will be dead, too, surely.”
Waree did not say anything more. She just smiled widely and nodded. Even though she was displeased about this, she still respected Maysa’s decision as the chief of staff anyway.
“Also, about your monster summoning skill,” Maysa touched Waree’s arm softly. “Don’t use it unless you really need to. Believe me, just supporting seven players already occupies you enough to get your head spun. ...If you have to control a monster, too, I’m afraid that it might get you disrupted.
“Understood.” Waree agreed as she patted Maysa’s hand softly.
A second later, the owner of the light gray eyes glanced at Warunya.
“Warunya, your job is similar to Leonard’s. But I want you to adapt your alchemist’s items to support and make the best profit out of them in the situation, like how you used the barrier potion when we fought Lord Inferno.”
“Okay.”
Warunya agreed smilingly because she was experienced in supporting her friends from behind already with her adaptable skills of the alchemist class anyway.
“Then I’m going to explain a little bit of that detail in our movements and the skills that we should use in the fight, okay?”
