Chapter 181: The First Assemble Part III
Chapter 181: The First Assemble Part III
“Why is that?”
“It seems too easy, and abnormally quiet. She finished speaking and held a hand to place on her lips like she was considering something. Then, she shook her head harshly, before clapping her hands loudly.
“Anyway!” She was looking at the others. "...Come on now, guys. Let’s gather over here. You can stop being scared now, right? I’ll start presenting our fighting plan to you.”
The sweet voice of Maysa that shifted into another mood so quickly made all these challengers pay attention to the chief of staff of the Nemesis. They were smiling wryly somehow, especially Tunwa, who looked to be embarrassed the most.
“Actually, I wasn’t scared, May!” Tunwa yelled with a high-pitched voice. “I was just pretending to, so these girls didn’t feel left out.”
Then he pointed his thumb to the back, making Nuchjaree snort out of her throat.
“Okay, Tun, we get it now. But don’t pretend too often because you’re so good at it that I almost fell for it every time.”
Wisana said with a laugh, making his best friend who just got nagged for the second time make a displeased noise from getting blocked all his ways to excuse himself.
Seeing that Maysa grinned and beckoned everyone to gather closer.
“I’d like to explain the plan again before we start the battle.”
Then she glanced over to Shin, who was busy finding something in the room.
“I have a question, Chief.”
Waree raised her hand with a sweet smile. It seemed like her fear was gone after she saw the light again.
“Yes?” Maysa turned to the deputy leader of the guild.
“Well, I’ve never fought Ouroboros before, so I’d like to know how to summon the boss in the area. And I wonder if you would suggest how to do so.”
Hearing the jokingly formal tone of her friend, Maysa smiled amusedly.
“I’m not an expert about that, to be honest.” She placed her hand by the corner of her mouth. “But all I know is that we have to complete a quest to get ‘the symbol of alchemy’ first, so we can use it to awaken Ouroboros from sleeping.”
Then, she glanced over to Shin again, looking like she was trying to imply something.
“Shin probably has that thing with him, that’s why he said that we didn’t need to do the quest and just let him handle this,” Wisana added.
“At least he has experience in fighting it from two years ago, so he knows what he has to do. Don’t worry about that.”
The girl who had the position of the chief of staff said with a smirk before she brought an information window out.
“I’m going to send the brief information about Ouroboros to everyone now.”
After her sweet voice, the information was sent to everyone in the party. They brought their transparent screens up. But after their eyes read through the information they just got from the gorgeous chief; they now understood the meaning of the word “shocking” truly.
“This is crazy.” Tunwa was the first to speak. “500 million HP? How many lifetimes will it take before we can kill this thing?”
After his sarcasm, Nuchjaree sat herself down defeatedly with a hard, loud sigh.
“Are you sure that this one is the 14th most difficult boss of the game?” Nuchjaree asked, looking up at Maysa.
“If the information from the association isn’t wrong then, yes, it is,” Maysa answered.
“And about what it says that the monster has all elements, what does it mean by that?”
Warunya asked, even though her mouth was still gasping, good proof of how much she was shocked right now. ...Seeing that, Maysa scratched her cheek, before smiling at her.
“I have no idea.” She said with a wry smile. “The information I got from the association is kind of old. Also, it seemed like people that have hunted this boss didn’t sell the information with that much detail to them.”
“Are we really able to handle it, then?” The gorgeous girl whined softly.
“Why not?”
“Well, it has 500 million HP, and its stats are kind of too extreme.”
“Chill out, Warunya. Aren’t you being too tense about it?” Maysa asked with a joking smile before she looked at Wisana again. “I believe that we’ll win and that my plan doesn’t have any flaws, as long as I have this guy here with me.”
Then she held up her hand to slap the back of the one that she had just confirmed her trust in, making Wisana slip out a laugh.
“Or he’s not reliable without the mask to you?”
Maysa continued with a gentle voice like she did not mean any offense. But her words made Warunya stunned right away, as well as Tunwa and Nuchjaree who looked at each other knowingly. Even Wisana had to glance at his friend, never expecting she would say something like this ever.
“I didn’t mean it like that.” Warunya said smilingly.
“I’m glad to hear that.” Maysa smiled back at her. “Because with or without the mask, Vincent or Wisana, they have the same value to me. So, just have trust that he’ll carry our plan to success.”
Even though the context in her words was normal, her tone of voice changed a little. If someone who was not familiar with her listened to this, they would not be able to tell that she was being sarcastic. And of course, Wisana knew her well enough, so he bent down to whisper to her.
“Why are you talking like that, May?”
The owner of the grey eyes did not reply, not even looking him in the eyes. She just rubbed her hands together, before continuing her lecture right away.
“Alright, let’s hear about the plan, shall we?” She said, grinning. “As you can see, the area is very large, and the ceiling is so high up from the ground. So, that’s confirmation that our enemy will be as huge as Lord Inferno, or larger, even.
Her words made everyone look around the room, before nodding in agreement.
“For this reason, I think the best plan for our party is to divide us into three groups.”
She said, holding up three fingers.
“The first one is the attack unit, including Wisana, Shin, and me.” Then she opened up an information window. It was red and had faces of hers and the two boys’ she was talking about. There were also their abilities stats rushing up at the same time. And that was the calculation ability of the chief of staff of the guild.
“I knew that you were going to put me in a tanker position again.”
Wisana commented as he was holding his smile.
“Yeah, because you’re a man. I’ll be in the front line, too, but did I whine?” Maysa turned to send him a grin.
And the reason was the same one, too!
He really wanted to know who the first person who made the rule that men always had to be in the front line was.
“I wasn’t going to argue with that,” Wisana said unbothered, making the chief slip out a laugh.
“We, who’ll be in the front line, have the task to tank Ouroboros as that guy said.” Maysa continued. “We’ll separate and attack to get its attention in three different directions.”
“Question.” Waree raised her hand to ask.
“Yes?”
“I understand why you chose Na and Shin in this unit. One has fast speed movement, and the other is experienced enough to fight solo just fine. But you, May, will you be able to handle this?”
Hearing that, Maysa laughed loudly. She knew that this girl did not have any intention of looking down on her at all. In fact, her tone was showing that she cared as someone who had more experience. Also, Waree was like the doctor of the party. So, caring for her friends’ safety was one of her duties as well.
“Don’t worry, Nam.”
