Chapter 183: The First Assemble Part V

Chapter 183: The First Assemble Part V

“Then I’m going to explain a little bit of that detail in our movements and the skills that we should use in the fight, okay?”

As she finished speaking, Maysa beckoned everyone to make a circle with her, leaving Wisana who did not have any intention to listen out. Because Maysa had already told him to do whatever he wanted in the first place. It was not sure if that was because they trusted each other so much, or if she knew he was just going to move with his instinct anyway.

“Not sure if it’s just me.”

Suddenly, Nuchjaree walked up to talk to him. She purposely isolated herself from the circle, smiling as she looked at Wisana.

“What?” He asked.

“I just think that Maysa looks cuter and livelier than usual. Do you think so?”

“Huh? What are you talking about?”

The one who was asked raised his eyebrows, smiling amusedly as he did not understand the question of his friend.

“What I’m trying to say is that since I’ve known and traveled with May, not once has she smiled like that with us.”

Hearing that, Wisana tilted his head with a chuckle.

“She’s always like that when she’s with me. But aren’t you a bit crazy to be obsessed with when a person smiles and when they don’t like this?”

“It’s not like that.”

The tomboy girl who had her hair tied up in a bun, looking earnest today, drawled her voice.

“Let’s just say that my woman sense detects something unusual about this.”

“You still have your woman sense in you, Nuch? I thought that you had cut it off since you went to the girls’ primary school.”

“Can you live a day without nagging me, Na?”

The one who got accused of lacking woman sense goggled at her friend harshly. And the friend just smiled brightly, holding up his hands like he was giving up.

“Okay, what does your sense say, Nuch?” He asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe I just misunderstood it but May seems like she’s in love.”

“Uh, ...huh?!”

At first, he just agreed with her inattentively, but then he jumped after realizing what she had just said. His heart which was beating normally at a steady rhythm suddenly flinched with a stingy pain that he had to hold a hand to touch his chest softly.

“Didn’t you... just imagine it, Nuch? For the past few days, Maysa was in the game all the time. So, how would she have the time to fall for someone?”

The troublemaker disagreed with a high-pitched voice, making the bold girl raise her eyebrows.

“What’s wrong, Na? Your voice is awfully, strangely high-pitched.”

“No, it’s not. There’s nothing wrong.” He said then put his hands in his pockets, acting cool.

Hearing that, she narrowed her eyes at her friend who was acting weird right now. He strangely flounced, and he even let out a hard sigh through his nose, too.

“Wait, let’s get back to May’s topic.” The cheeky one returned to the main point. “How can you be sure that May’s in love? I think you’re just making things up. If someone else hears this nonsense, her reputation will get ruined.”

“Are you saying that I can’t tell if someone is in love, or not?” Nuchjaree retorted.

“Yeah. You’ve gone crazy.”

“And what about how I’ve set up dozens of people in the university for them to be together, is that crazy, too?”

Getting talked back like that, the young man paused immediately. His eyes avoided her in another direction like he was trying to find a proper reason to argue with her, but he just could not.

Fine! You were the expert!

“How can you be sure about May, though.” Even though his mind agreed with that, his stubbornness would never surely!

“Well, just look at her,” Nuchjaree said, placing a hand on his shoulder as she looked in Maysa’s direction. "She’s smiling and giggling happily. And today, she seems to be dressed better than she did every day when we were on our trip here, too. Have you ever heard of the saying; girls will look prettier when they’re in love?”

Hearing that, the young man followed her eyes, before he noticed that today his chief of staff actually looked a bit different from usual. ...Her lips which never had any makeup on, now looked glowing and shimmering with lip gloss. Her clear cheeks were blushing pink. And her hair which was always kept earnestly in ponytails or twin tails was let down to her waist, leaving some of it to brush her cheeks, looking way cuter.

“See that? She’s significantly prettier today!” Nuchjaree whispered loudly.

“Aren’t you just overthinking it? I don’t think it is like what you think.”

“Na, believe the sense of a woman. May is definitely in love!”

Then she held up a hand and slashed it in the air in front of him playfully, making the watcher shake his head.

“You don’t like that? She’s confirmedly in love then!”

This time, she was giving her thumb up, making Wisana rub his temple. While his friend was laughing and acting silly, his heart was beating at a strange rhythm somehow now.

“But the point is that I have no idea who she has a crush on, but of course, it could be someone around here.”

Then Nuchjaree smiled widely. Her eyes were sparkling strangely, making the listener snort in his throat, then he held up his hand to rock his friend’s head softly.

“That’s nonsense, Nuch. If May actually has a crush on someone, it has to be a person from outside the game. Why would she like the ones around here who she just met for a few days?”

Even though he was speaking that with a smiley face, his heart was stingingly aching for an unknown reason.

“Well, it’s possible, though.”

She said, smiling knowingly at Wisana like she was trying to imply something. And the one who was being stared at by those ambiguous eyes raised his eyebrows.

“That’s ridiculous, Nuch. Let’s stop talking about this. Whom she likes is none of our business.”

“Why do you look overcompensating somehow?”

Hearing that, the one who got nagged jumped.

“Overcompensating my butt. I don’t.” The overcompensating one denied in a high-pitched tone.

“Really?” The girl grinned. “I just think that May’s cute. She’s two years younger than us, right? And to be honest she’s kind of your type, too. She has a cute mouth and nose, is small and smart, and she seems to be thoughtful as well. She’s exactly what you ever want, buddy.”

The young man let out a sigh.

“And your point is?”

“My point is that wouldn’t you regret it if May actually likes someone else? This type of woman is as rare as a hen’s teeth, you know. Didn’t you say that you’d like your girlfriend to be a bit younger than you? So, she would be calling you P’[1]Na this, P’Na that.”

Hearing that, Wisana rubbed his temples harshly.

“Stop setting me up with someone, Nuch. Just my mom continuing to introduce me to her friends’ daughters already gives me enough headaches.”

“Why not? I do it out of my well-intentioned.”

“Keep that intention for yourself.” The young man retorted with boredom. “If the one that May likes turns out to be Tunwa, you’ll be the one who is in shock.”

“Why would I get shocked about that?” She yelled with a high-pitched voice. “That would be good because people would finally stop thinking that I and that guy were together. And my life would be purified from this filthy flaw!”

“Sure, I wish that was true, too.” Wisana slipped out a laugh.

“Of course, it is!” The girl snapped, before she paused, realizing that the other was trying to change that subject. “Wait, Na. I’m not done with you, yet. Don’t try changing the topic so easily.”

“I think that’s a clever idea!”
