Chapter 178: Training Part V
Chapter 178: Training Part V
“The class’s shirt?” He asked Sander.
“It’s very rare, you know. It’s not for sale in the market. You have to complete a quest with our class to get it. But I’ll give it to you as a special gift for completing 80% of my lessons.”
“Oh, thank you a lot.”
After that, the young man started putting the shirt on right away, before throwing his old favorite shirt which was now all torn and worn out back in his inventory window.
“And this pair of sweatpants are made of Mimi’s silk. And the plastic rope shoes that increase the agility and the capacity to hold on to every surface, too, Mister Wisana.”
And then, Leonard handed him two more items.
“Aw, you have a lot of gifts for me, Master.”
He said as he smiled at Sander. And the master only shrugged, implying that he should just hurry and take them.
A moment later, all the new clothes were worn in their place on his body. And after changing into them, Wisana could feel that his body got lighter, and the agility of his movement was brilliant. And it seemed like his new shoes were steady and firm on the ground so good.
“This is awesome. Now, I can fight better, ...right, Shin?”
The troublemaker glanced at the zero-Celsius man. And the one who was asked for his opinion just nodded, purposely saving his words like usual.
“There’s more, Mister Wisana.”
This time it was Lala who was walking toward Wisana with something similar in her hands. ...It was a white short-sleeved jacket with the logo of the goddess of revenge ‘Nemesis’ on the back.
“Uh, that’s my jacket.” Wisana smiled widely.
“Well, I saw that it got kind of worn out from the fights. And it seemed to be damaged from your skill since when you were fighting Lord Orc. But don’t worry, I have some clothes fixing skills, so I’ve taken care of it. And, oh, I’ve made it more durable as well. It shouldn’t be damaged that easily now.”
“Oh, thanks a lot, gorgeous.”
Wisana took his jacket back with a smile, without caring about a slight blush on Lala’s face because she seemed like she never got used to the compliment. ...Without hesitation, the leader of the Nemesis guild managed to put on his important uniform, before whipping his hair to adjust it in place.
That was an image that made Sander catch eyes with Lala, whistling. As well as Shin who almost let out a smile, but he only snorted. Because after getting dressed up fully, Wisana looked more elegant as the leader of a guild now, too.
“You’re ready for the battle?”
Sander asked with a satisfied smile. His disciple glanced at Shin before he turned to nod at him confidently.
“Yes.”
“Good luck, then. I’ll be cheering for you out here. And don’t forget about the fighting steps I taught you. Don’t be careless until you can defeat the enemy. More importantly, always watch your back.”
Then he placed a hand on his disciple softly, making Wisana raise eyebrows.
“What’s with all these admonishes? You’re not coming in to hunt the boss with us?”
“No, I’m better not.” Sander slipped out laughing. “You guys won’t have fun if I join. I don’t know why but I’ll always ruin the party.”
“How?”
Wisana asked out of curiosity. However, the one who was asked only smiled widely in response, glancing at Lala knowingly.
“Well, every time I go on a hunt, I’ll kill the boss within 2 minutes. And I’ll get more EXP, more Items. ...So, I don’t enjoy hunting bosses that much lately. If I come with you now, I’ll ruin the fun.”
Hearing that, the listener let out a nervous smile. Wisana and Shin caught eyes, unable to find words to describe the ‘savage’ characteristic of the man named Sander.
“Anyway, ...I’ll be waiting to see it from the outside with this Little Bee Station, which has 180 worker bees that will go around shooting the scenes for me. So, I can watch all the important battles inside for sure. Don’t worry.”
He finished and then showed an item that looked like a bee hive to Wisana. And each bee inside it had a video camera on its butt instead of a sting.
Seeing that, Wisana glanced at Shin as he was trying to restrain his mind, regretting that Uncle Sander was not joining the hunt with them. He thought that if this uncle joined them he might help a lot and would even kill the Ouroboros in 2 minutes as he had bragged about it.
“Well, I’m not going, but I’m going to send Leonard in with you guys.”
“Huh?! What’d you say, Master?!”
But there was something unexpected about the kind master who surprised his loyal servant, making that long dog face turn pale out of shock.
At the same time, Wisana and Shin looked at each other confusedly.
“Why not? If you go with them, you’ll help them a lot with using items. You have the skill to throw items at people, don’t you? And you can carry stuff that weighs 50 times more than you, too. So, go help them a bit, doggo.”
Sander said jokingly.
“No, that’s not going to be a good idea. I’m just a carrier NPC. I can’t fight with a difficult boss like that, I’ll die!”
The doggo tried to argue for a proper reason, but the words that came out of Sander’s mouth were like an absolute order telling it to die. Then how could it resist?
So, right now, it was sending a sad look to Lala, one of its masters.
“Could you send Lala with them instead? She could be a lot more useful than me.”
“I’m injured right nowww.”
Lala said with a clear voice, holding her stomach painfully, that it was obvious from one look that she was faking it.
“But it’s good if you go learn some new fighting experience once in a while, too. Since all you’ve been doing is following Master and me for years.”
“Just say you’re lazy.”
The doggo muttered a complaint to himself. But Lala did not mind that because she was just too lazy to fight as it said.
“So, it’s all settled then, Leonard. You follow them into the dungeon, ...and don’t come back dying, okay? It’ll be too much work to revive you, and expensive, especially when you have high levels like this.”
“These words make me feel the worst of the entire year, Master.”
It said, before whining like a dog, making everyone laugh.
And at the moment that Leonard was trying to accept its fate, the tiniest one that everyone almost forgot that she was there, too, ran up to cling to the doggo’s leg right away.
“Reny!”
“Oh, Miss Angela, what are you doing? And by Reny... You meant me?”
Angie managed to cling to Leonard’s leg tight before she looked up at the dog that was many times taller than her with a smile that rarely showed.
“Don’t worry. I’ll protect Reny because I like dogs the most.”
That sounded like a voice from heaven to Leonard, the NPC that only had a strong point in carrying stuff. It started wiggling its tail excitedly, as its eyes started tearing up out of appreciation.
“You’re going to protect me, Miss Angela?” It asked with a shaking voice.
“Yup! You’re going to be alright. If anyone dares to bully you, I’ll burn them down!”
“Oh! Thank you very much. I am cheered up a lot now!”
Then Leonard held Angie up, making her laugh playfully. Before it placed the little mage on its shoulders steadily.
“I’ll be carrying Miss Angela myself!” Leonard shouted loudly.
“Good! Woah... it’s so high up here, Reny. Awesome.”
She said and stroked the doggo’s head, making Leonard stick its tongue out, while the tail was wriggling rapidly to show that it was quite happy.
Wisana and Shin shook their heads at that scene.
“Try to hide your feelings a bit, Leonard. I know you have a dog’s instinct, but you don’t have to make it this obvious.” Wisana nagged.
“WOOF!!”
But it seemed like this huge dog had turned into a dog fully now.
“This is good, too,” Shin said.
“How?”
“Well, this guy seems like it can run fast. So, having it help guard the mage... er, Angie wouldn’t be a bad idea. Because it seems like she has the least armor points in the party. So, it is good that she has someone taking care of her, while she’s casting spells.”
After hearing that, Wisana glanced at Angie who was sitting on Leonard’s shoulders as he started to agree with Shin’s point quite a lot. ...At least they would not have to be worried about Angie.
“Alright, so, there’s not any problem now, right?”
Sander asked when he saw that the doggo seemed to be okay now, then he smiled.
“Then, good luck, everyone. Even though I’ve never hunted Ouroboros before, let’s have fun hunting anyway!”
