Chapter 169: “Signetic Syncro” Part I

Chapter 169: “Signetic Syncro” Part I

“Wheww, I haven’t watched an intense fight like this for quite a while.”

A joyful voice rang, feeling delighted in his heart like he just witnessed the most fascinating of all time. ...After that, the tall figure sat down on a big rock to open his inventory window up, bringing a booze bottle in the form of a calabash out and pulling the cork away.

“You want some?”

He asked as he handed the calabash bottle to Wisana, and the younger one just shook his head in reply.

“...Aw, are you sure? Drinking some booze after exercise is refreshing, you know. I can’t live without it now, to be honest.”

He finished speaking before he managed to put the bottle to his lips and drank it up, pouring the clear liquid with alcohol into his throat. Then, he let out a loud ‘Haaa’ sound.

“Then have a seat, Wisana. I have so many things to talk to you about.”

Hearing that, the young man who was the owner of the amber eyes let out a soft sigh, feeling his head aching from trying to keep up with the master of the magic warrior class’s mood.

It did not take long for the tall young man to sit down on the ground, at a level that was a bit lower than Sander.

“What do you want to talk about that you have to talk to me one on one like this?”

He asked, glancing back at the group of his friends in the distance. He saw Waree casting a spell to heal Lala who was now unconscious. And he saw Maysa looking at him from over there with curiosity.

Then he let out a long sigh.

“Telling me to fight this, bringing me in to talk that, ...so, just be straightforward with me.”

“So smart.”

Sander smiled widely, putting the calabash down by his side.

“Honestly, I was surprised after seeing your improvement going this fast. The first time I saw you, you could barely do anything except run around. But today you could fight strongly, and even defeat Lucy as well.”

After his words, Sander’s eyes were trying to imply something to him, looking dazzling. And of course, Wisana could only scratch his cheek in reply...

“It was just a fluke.” He spoke.

Sander shook his head at the words.

“Just a fluke couldn’t help you with taking down Lord Inferno, you know.”

Wisana paused, realizing that this uncle had always known that he was Vincent. So, the cause of all just laughed nervously and it made Sander let out a chuckle.

“You’ve improved so fast. Especially when you were fighting Lord Orc, didn’t you realize how incredible your movements were then?”

“...Yeah, some of it.” He said in a low voice. “Wait, you were there as well?!”

“I was, but just peeking from a distance.”

He replied, winking, and making the listener smile wryly right away.

“I just wanted to see my disciple’s skills, and you didn’t disappoint me at all. Though I was having a tough time pulling Maysa back from going in to help you.”

The owner of those amber eyes almost burst out laughing, but he managed to hold it in time. But when he glanced at his chief of staff, he really found it amusing. ...May probably almost lost her mind in wanting to join him back then.

“...You have the Signetic Syncro, Wisana.”

He could not think joyously for so long when he was stunned by Sander’s words. He looked at the older one, with, of course, frowned eyebrows of confusion.

“Sign what again?” He asked.

“Signetic Syncro.”

Hearing its full name again made Wisana make a confused face even more. Anyway, Sander just laughed perfunctorily, before he continued explaining.

“Signetic Syncro is a special substance that leaks out of the brain of someone who has the Signetic gland under the brainstem. You can say that they’re the special ones, too.”

“...A special substance of a special one??”

The more he explained, the more this airhead got confused. Right now, that cheeky one leaned in to listen closer, like what he was about to hear was some kind of an interesting story.

“It’s the substance that makes the body move exactly as the mind wants. To make it simple, it’s like an individual’s gift. And the Signetic stimulates that gift to be special, and different from other people.”

“...Well, I’m still confused.”

Wisana said, scratching his cheek. Seeing that, Sander placed his fingers on his lips, before letting out a big smile.

“Let’s just say it’s a talent of a human. It’s something that not everyone can have. It’s in your nature since the day you were born. ...Is it easier to understand this way?”

“...Yes.”

Yes, it was easy to understand, but what did that have to do with him?

“...Er, and what does it have to do with...”

“Does it have something to do with you, right?”

Sander finished his sentence knowingly. Maybe, that was because the question was already showing up all over his face.

“To be honest, nowadays, there’re very few of those who have the Signetic Syncro. It’s one of the rare abilities.”

“...Er, is it dangerous?”

“Dangerous?” Sander raised his eyebrows. “...Are you crazy? You’re lucky that you have it in you. I told you that it was like a talent that you were born with. Many people wish they could have it, but they can’t, you know?”

Hearing that, Wisana let out a sigh of relief. The only thing he was worried about this stupid sign-syn thing was whether it would be dangerous to him or not. And if it was not, then he felt relieved.

“So, what are you trying to tell me, anyway?”

The younger one asked straightforwardly. And Sander smiled widely, before he picked the calabash’s cork up, tossing it up and down in his hand.

WHOOSH!!

As fast as a thought, Wisana felt something going fast through the air, making his brain snap. His amber eyes widened before he moved his upper body a little to dodge that thing, making it miss his cheek for just less than two centimeters, before flying into one of the trees nearby harshly and burying itself in there!

“...W ...what the hell are you doing, Mister Sander?! If I couldn’t dodge that, my brain would have leaked out by now!”

The cheeky one bawled loudly, while the master was bursting out laughing!

“But you could dodge it.” He said smilingly.

“That’s not the point. The point is, what the hell are you doing?”

Sander smiled at the question. Then he shook his head, before placing his chin on his hand that was upright on his knee.

“That’s still not the point. The point is, did you dodge that with or without the realization?”

“...”

The one who got objected went quiet, curious about what the man in front of him was trying to say here.

“What do you mean?” Wisana asked.

“I threw that with all my strength, you know. If this were someone else, it probably would have stuck in their skulls by now. But you’re not like that.” He said with a big smile. “...You dodged it so easily. And importantly, you moved before your brain even commanded you. That’s it. That’s your Signetic Syncro.”

“...My Signetic?”
