Chapter 168: Unexpected Technique Part VI
Chapter 168: Unexpected Technique Part VI
“...This is bad. She’s about to use that!”
It was Sander who shouted out from afar. The master of the magic warrior class hurriedly sprinted from where he was standing without hesitation. Like he knew so well what his NPC’s action was about!
As well as Shin and Waree, they caught each other’s eyes as the same thought popped up in their head, and then they both sprinted out, following Sander to the battle zone immediately!
The person who was nearest to Lucy was the one who could still have a smile on his face.
He stared at Lucy’s action, before slipping out a laugh.
“That’s right, there’s a way like this, too. I never thought that you’d have the Sacrifice Blood skill as well.”
Then he let out a long sigh.
His amber eyes were looking at the other as he admired Lucy’s persistence a lot. Seeing her reminded him of himself who would not give up so easily either. Maybe that was why he liked Lucy from the first time they met. ...Well, they had the same nature!
“...I’m not giving up easily either, Lucy.”
He said as he held his right hand up in front of him, before he summoned a turbid white magic marble out, the Ice Sphere. And in a blink later, he merged that magic in his right hand like a magic warrior would do.
“It’s true that mostly, my 7 curses sword’s abilities are to curse, ...but there are two of them that can be used as damage attacks as well. How to use them properly is kind of difficult to do, but for a player from the magic warrior class, that won’t be a problem.”
After he finished speaking, his rough hand reached back to grab a larger sword from his back, the ice blade that was kept in its case, before he yanked it out quickly.
At the first second, its coldness spread out with the frozen curse running down to his arm. But Wisana had blended the ice magic into his body beforehand, the curse was completely ineffective to him.
If I can’t resist it, I’ll just have to join it then!!
“God Freeze!”
Right after the real name of the sword was called, the ice blade that used to be just a plain, two-edged sword started to have some magic characters appearing upon it in white color. Its coldness blasted out, spreading all over the area. The impact made Sander, Shin, and Waree who were rushing to interrupt the battle stunned, because that coldness came crashing on them that they needed to cover their faces from it!
Around the clearing that used to be a green grass field, right now it was covered in a crazy amount of ice, making the spot where Wisana was standing turn into a snow field already!
And that made Lucy’s big round eyes widen right away!
What was happening again?!
How many more layers of abilities did this guy actually have?!
“...For NPCs, if they die, it will take months before they can be back to life again, right?”
He said, whipping the God Freeze Sword harshly, making the ice flakes fall off.
“If you could help, please be more focused on this. Turning around confusedly like that will get you killed.”
Then he tightened his grip on the sword as he launched straight at Lucy. Wisana did not use the Jumper skill like he knew that it would only put him at a disadvantage when he got to the impact point. So, it was better if he chose to attack directly!
Lucy felt glad that the man did that without any trick as well. She clenched her fist tightly, then sprinted to him, aiming to let this attack decide the result of the battle!
Both were bringing their weapons and skills to the other without hesitation. And there was even a smile on their faces, showing how much fun they were having. ...They were glad that they had the same type of people, excited that they got to fight the matched opponents.
The second of the impact, Wisana held the sword up in front of him a little, aiming to stab the other dead in one hit. At the same time, Lucy held her hand with that circling red-and-black light up to drag him down to hell with her as well!
The closer they were to each other, the more pressuring it was. Their eyes that caught with each other were fierce like demon’s!
BOOM!
A loud explosion came with a harsh wind that made Maysa’s side cover their faces from it again. The long battle probably had finally ended. ...It felt long, but it actually happened in the blink of an eye.
A large group of smoke was spreading up, obscuring the whole area.
Almost ten seconds had passed before everything was back to normal. ...The eyes in diverse colors were trying to look and see the result of the fight in front of them. And Maysa was the one with the fastest eyes. She saw a group of people standing at the impact spot, then she let out a sigh of relief right away.
Luckily that they could stop the fight in time...
Maysa thought wearily and saw that in front of her, there were a man and a woman who almost killed each other like how they wanted. But then there were golden magic nets in the form of thin straps of silk holding them before they could crash into each other.
Also, there was the Longinus spear held in front of Wisana, blocking his sword from stabbing the other. The same with the rough hand of the master of the magic warrior class that was grabbing Lucy’s wrist before she could throw it at the owner of those annoying amber eyes.
“...Good that we stop them in time,” Sander said wearily.
“That was close though.” Waree, who was the one casting the spell in time, let out a long sigh as well.
“Unbelievable.”
And Shin just pushed Wisana’s sword away, before shaking his head as he looked tired of this quite a lot.
“That wasn’t okay at all, you two. I told you to make the other unable to fight, but to kill each other off like this.”
Sander shouted with a scolding tone. He glanced at Waree as a sign to cancel her magic circle of the six-pointed star. And she did as she was told obediently. After these troublemakers were free, Sander did not hesitate to take something out of his inventory and shove it into Lucy’s mouth. And that made the one who was forced to swallow the unknown down start coughing harshly!
“...Cough! ...W ...why did you do that, master? I’m a girl anyway, so please... my voice!”
Lucy held her hand up to grab around her neck as she was surprised that her voice had already come back and that she could talk normally again. ...Come to think of it, that thing her master put in her throat was probably a curse dispelling or something.
“...Why did you interrupt the fight?! We’re not finished fighting, yet!”
THUD!!
Lucy probably was not done fighting, but she surely was done talking now, even though she was forced to. Because these large fingers of Sander flicked on her forehead directly. Just one hit and that was enough to knock her consciousness away, sending her falling to the ground instantly.
That action made all the kids here flinch, including those who were watching from a distance like Maysa who was kind of shocked by it, too.
“This is how to put Lucy back to sleep, and before she could wake up and yell at me, it’ll be around two weeks later.”
Sander said tiredly. And he was right when Lucy started transforming again now. Her hair was back to black and curry. The dark mascara around her eyes was back and her body got thinner, looking like there was only the skin that covered her bones.
After that, Sander turned to look at Wisana from the corner of her eyes.
At the first second, the three kids flinched in unison, especially Wisana who awkwardly put the God Freeze away. ...But it did not take long before Sander let out a satisfied smile, making the three feel more relief instantly.
“Could I talk to you in private, Wisana?”
“Y... yes?”
“I have a little guidance for you, as my lovely disciple.”
Then he winked at Wisana, before bending down to carry Lala up with one hand.
A moment later, Sander went ahead and carried Lala back to the camp, leaving the three children behind as they looked and blinked at each other. Then Wisana let out a long sigh, looking back and forth between Shin and Waree.
“...So, this means that I win, right?” He asked his sister.
And hearing that, Shin and Waree caught eyes, before they let out a sigh, too, and started walking away together.
“Ones of those battle junkies, right, Shin?” Waree asked.
“Yeah, ...the barbarians,” Shin replied.
“Harr... I’m really fed up with my spoiled brother.”
That was all they said as they were walking back, leaving the one who was exhausted from the fight just now to raise his eyebrows as he followed them.
“What are you guys talking about? Wait for me. ...Nam, don’t leave me. Use your magic to heal me first.”
