Chapter 149: The Opened Door Part V
Chapter 149: The Opened Door Part V
He had to trespass to the spot where the Lord Orc was!
The sharp edge of his sword cut right through the enemies’ weakness accurately without him even realizing it. He thought that the monsters were just too weak, but the truth was not like that at all. The monsters were not weak, he was just capable of hitting their weak spots too accurately. He attacked as if he knew where their foibles were.
It was his instinct that drove his body before his brain even commanded him to do so.
In a blink, Wisana had killed dozens of the monsters, sending them to lie dead on the ground. His sword was covered in the black blood of the Orcs. Even so, he did not think about stopping swinging his sword at all. It was like he had become a terrifying killing machine now!
DUM!! DUM!!
“The rhythm has changed!” Suddenly, Wisana paused as he bent down to dodge the blade of an enemy that missed him by just an inch. His hearing sense was so quick to catch the sound of the battle drum in the wind, even though he was surrounded by shouting and weapons hitting each other in the battleground.
And at that moment, his brain stingingly ached again.
His instinct was alarming him that the battle drum sound just now was... a signal to fire the arrows!!
“Tch... the leader’s such a pain. It doesn’t care if its minions get hit, too?!” He cursed out loud, before finishing the closest enemy down. It was holding the ax up, aiming to split his head open in one hit, but the owner of the amber eyes was faster.
He approached it, before stabbing his sword right through its chest coldly. Then he used its body as a shield in a second.
WHOOSH!!
Hundreds of arrows were coming down, killing many Orcs at once, including the one that he was cruelly using as a bunker as well!
After the devastating attack ended, he pushed the Orc shield off him, before his amber eyes looked around to see many Orcs lying dead.
That was all to make him gaze at Lord Orc instantly.
“You didn’t even hesitate about ordering them to fire, huh?” He spoke. “You don’t care if your guys would get hit or not. You used the front line just to slow me down, thinking the archers would be able to kill me? Even though this is just a program, this kind of tactic is irritating as hell!”
Wisana yelled out angrily before he flicked the blood off his sword. His sharp eyes were staring at the enemies that were now circling around him before he could even realize it.
The archer’s troop, the warrior’s troop... and then there was the Orc mage’s troop as well.
He was too busy fighting with the warriors to realize that he was surrounded now!
“Tch! I made a mistake, huh.”
DUM! DUM!!
The signal had changed again!
The man paused, glancing at the boss of Orcs that was looking pleased with itself as it was sitting on the wild boar. It placed its chin on one hand and was smiling at him like it had victory in the bag.
And the man smiled widely in return right away.
“What are you smiling about, bastard?!”
A second later, every enemy in the circle pointed their weapons at him with the other Orc warriors banging their weapons on the ground, rushing their friends to finish him off. The archers were pointing the arrows at Wisana as well, along with the mages that were holding their scepters that had the flame blazing up at the top up high in unison.
Even though Wisana was circled by the Orcs, his sharp face still did not show any trace of fear at all.
“Be careful, ape face,” he said as he looked right into the Orcs’ eyes. “It is said that the last laugh is always louder. It’s too soon to think that you’ve won.”
BOOM!!
Suddenly, there was a thundering sound coming with an explosion that was large enough to shake up the whole ground. A moment later, a huge fireball was blazing up in the middle of the crowd of Orcs, wiping dozens of warriors and archers out.
Among the spreading dust and smoke, there appeared a chubby tiny figure of the silver-haired girl strolling to join him. Her ruby eyes were flashing fiercely, completely contrasting with her youthful face.
“You’re late, Angie.”
THUD!
“Ouch! Why did you kick me?!” He could sound cool in only a sentence before the next one turned out to be a whine of pain since the little mage managed to kick in his calf with full strength.
Damn it, even though he was being ganged up on by dozens of Orcs, they still could not do him any harm. But then how could this brat kick him so easily like this?!
“You’re too impulsive!” Getting a chance, she snapped at him right away.
“What? Did I do something wrong?”
“Yeah, you did. You invaded without any plan and almost got yourself blockaded. ...Also, your level is way lower than theirs. So, don’t show off too much!” Another long criticism made the man without a plan make a sour face.
“Levels are just numbers, kid.”
“Don’t call me kid!”
“Another thing, they’re not that difficult to beat. I also calculated that you would join in and support me for sure. So, what we have to do now is clear the path to that ape-faced leader.”
He said as he pointed his sword at Lord Orc, making Angela pause. Because not only did this guy not care about her insult at all, but his mind was also focused on getting to the leader of the enemy only...
Seeing the man’s changes got her stunned.
Did he even realize that right now he was like a different person from Wisana in normal time? From a person who was always kind, gentle, and joyful, he could be crazily impulsive when it came to battle time like one of those who fanaticized wars, too.
He’s a berserker or what?!
“Angie, there they come again!” A shout came out at the same time the tall man moved to guard her. The golden eyes were looking up at the sky with a frustrated feeling. Because Lord Orc took the chance when they were talking to each other, ordering its minion archers to fire another barrage of arrows.
Angela brought herself to focus again, then she cast a magic spell instantly.
Wind Wall
A strong wind was encircling them, appearing with light green sparks as it was blowing. And when the flying arrows went through it, each one of them stopped mid-air, before falling to the ground harmlessly.
“Angie, the mages on the right!” The warning got her attention to look in the direction before she saw a group of Orc mages pointing their scepters at them. And in the blink of an eye, hundreds of fireballs were shot out like cannonballs.
“Let’s run!”
“We don’t have to!”
She flicked her other hand, making the magic circle appear on the ground in the shape of a six-pointed star. A moment later, a huge wall in the form of a gigantic ice sheet appeared from the ground, blocking the magic fire shots from them totally.
Ice Wall
“Could you lower your head down a bit?” She demanded with a sharp voice, and the man did what she asked obediently. Angela held her scepter up to her side like she was holding a sword. Her pink, small lips started muttering something quietly.
The pair of ruby eyes flashed with seriousness, while her hands swung the scepter out in front of her like swinging a baseball bat!
Storm Blade
After she finished casting the spell, a lash of wind blew toward the enemies like a blade. Its sharpness could destroy the ice wall from a while ago. And the monsters that had the ice wall blinding their sights, would never be able to evade this attack in time.
Flesh blood was splattered all over the area as dozens of Orcs fell onto the ground with their heads cut off their necks. At this point, Lord Orc paused, and the smile on its face disappeared. The hand that was holding the weapon was tightening up until it started shaking. It started realizing that its plan was not going to work.
The enemy it had to fight was dangerous, and now there had become two of them.
“Woah... if I didn’t get down in time, my head would probably get cut off as well.”
