Chapter 148: The Opened Door Part IV

Chapter 148: The Opened Door Part IV

“Monster Contract?”

“Right. Let me tell you something, the monsters in the game are not typically easy. The boss-ranked ones are like supercomputers with high intelligence, and they’re very tricky. So, this contract probably is made by them.”

“You’re saying that we are being surrounded on both sides like this because those bosses plan it out?”

“Correct,” Angela replied with a plain voice, before pointing to her back like she was implying something.

“The Yetis army is just a decoy. The real ones that are about to attack us from behind are probably ...the Orcs.”

“The Orcs?” Wisana raised his eyebrows.

“They’re monsters with characteristics like humans the most, but their skin is thicker, and the color is a dark green tone. They’re stronger and bigger than us. ...In conclusion, they’re strength-type monsters.”

“Basically, the muscular brain, right? They perfectly match my skills then.” he said, holding a hand to rub his nose out of the urge to fight. Angela pulled his shirt to hold down the one who was too excited in no time.

“Don’t be reckless. The Orcs are not dumb. Even though they’re weaker than the Goblins, the Orcs are not the type of monster that rushes to you and attacks. They always have a specific plan to counter every class like the mages, the archers, or the warriors. ...And another scary thing about them is their boss, Lord Orc.”

“Why do they always name the bosses with Lord? It’s such a lazy way of naming a character.”

“That’s not even the point!” Seeing this man not taking it seriously, the kid snapped loudly. Wisana had to hold his hands up in surrender, but his face still looked cheeky as usual.

“Aw, why are you serious, little girl? I don’t think we have to worry about them that much since they’re planning to attack us from behind like this.”

“They’re using this tactic, that’s why they’re scary. They probably use the Yetis to distract us, making us lose balance with our team. So, they can attack us later, because they think that we’re the leader of the party, something like that.”

“Woah, they have good eyes though, those Orcs. They know that I’m the leader.” He finished, before slapping his chest proudly, without noticing that the kid was turning her face away to mutter something like, “Leader only by the name, I suppose.”

“Anyway,” Wisana changed the subject. “Let’s stop being tardy and go fight them all, then it’s done.”

“Hold on, we should have a plan before we attack. How much time will we be able to buy for Waree to come back? And...”

“Yeah, I’ll leave that job to you. My job is done by using the fists!” After the announcement, Wisana launched himself off like a 4x100 runner. Even though Angela was holding him down, with her tiny size and the craziness of the man that was beyond the bar, she was left there, gasping and blinking.

“Wait up. You don’t even know about the enemy’s ability, yet!” Finally, she managed to shout at him in just one sentence only.

“I can learn that by experience!”

“And you’re not going to estimate the number of the enemy first?!”

“I did, that’s why I’m running toward them like this!” That was all his response. The tall familiar man jumped right into the battle enjoyingly. Unlike his babysitter who had to be reminded again that she was 8 years younger than the man.

Eventually, Angela was not sure now who was taking care of who. She thought to herself, before running down the hill to join him. And when the scene of the battle was in her sight, the pair of ruby eyes widened instantly!

“Is this close to what you have estimated, Wisana!?”

The image she was looking at was so terrifying that it got her goosebumps.

The image of a tall man running toward an ‘army’ of enemies by ‘himself.’

If this were a scene in a movie, it would probably be very epic and get the attention of the audience quite a lot, where the protagonist(?) of the story was going to fight the whole army of more than 1,000 monsters!!

The Orc monster looked like a human. Its body was muscular and strong. They looked even more terrified with the deadly weapon in their hands including axes, hammers, bows, and some magic scepters. All of them were fully equipped with these accessories.

Especially the leader of all Orcs, it seemed to be the scariest one. It was standing at the back of the army. The monster had deep green skin. It was not the biggest Orc but still the most imposing. On the head that was decorated with a black hat with a pair of horns. Its shoulders were covered in a piece of leather that looked like a cape. It was holding a large spear. And most importantly, it was sitting on a huge wild boar with two minion Orcs that were hitting the battle drums on either side of it.

Seeing the enemy approaching despairingly, the Orc leader held its long spear up, pointing it at the small player who dared run toward its army first. Then its large mouth let out a loud growl as a signal to attack immediately.

GROOOOWL!!!

“Come at me, come at me. I’ve been waiting for you!” Wisana shouted joyously after he saw that the army started making a move.

As well as the front line of the army which were the warrior type of Orcs, the green monsters were holding their single edge swords and the axes up as they shouted resoundingly. They were wearing black armor, looking formidable. However, all of their terrifying appearances did not affect the black-haired man at all.

Then the second line, which was the archer Orcs, held their bows up, before shooting the arrows in the sky to attack Wisana like pouring rain, aiming to destroy this tiny enemy to death.

“I knew it!” Wisana yelled out as he stopped his feet.

He was expecting that they would shoot the arrows first to stop his movement, especially when he was the only enemy around here. If he got hit by one of the arrows and died, it would be an easy match for them that they did not even have to drip sweat.

But don’t underestimate me!!

The amber eyes widened. His sharp face looked up at the hundreds of arrows falling from the sky for a moment, then his thin lips were curled up into something like a smile. The thrill and fun made his blood run wild through the body.

His instinct was totally awakening!!

WHOOSH!!

The sound of an arrow going through the air passed by his ear. However, the tall man did not get wounded at all. After he bent back and forth to dodge the arrows, he stopped and stood still. His lips were spreading into a big smile right away. A part of him still did not believe that he would be able to do such a thing, and the other part felt so fun that he could not even slow his steps down.

“Damn, why does my head feel so clear?!”

Wisana shouted resoundingly, before running towards the Orc’s army instantly. The Lord Orc was stunned for a moment, before glancing at one of the minions as a sign to hit the drum in a certain rhythm, the rhythm that was an order to attack!

The front line of the army started shouting loudly, before running toward the tiny enemy who was just confirmed by their leader to be savage.

As fast as he thought, Wisana was running at the enemies as well. The second they were about to get to the fighting range, his brain was running faster, making his head start aching. The adrenaline in his body was rising, making his muscles thrill!

The amber eyes were flashing with rage. His rough hands were tightening around his sword, lips smiling out of satisfaction.

SHUNK!!

Swinging the sword for the first time, the head of an Orc warrior was cut off sharply and violently.

“Come at me! If you die in one slash, then I don’t think that you’re that tough!” Wisana shouted as he swung the sword in his hand at the enemies, cutting them down to the ground fast and violently like a typhoon. There was nothing else in his head, except for invading, breaking through the army to get to the leader.

He had to trespass to the spot where the Lord Orc was!
