Chapter 139: Urgent Party Part IV
Chapter 139: Urgent Party Part IV
“Carrying this brat is simple?!” He finished, then turned his back to show Waree a small figure of Angela who was sleeping in the comfiest manner. He frowned.
“Okay, she’s not that heavy, but it isn’t my responsibility to carry her!” He complained in a combo. “And how is she still sleeping in? It’s almost 9 o’clock now.”
“Well, Angie’s tired.”
“Why are you not carrying her yourself, then? She’s your bestie, isn’t she?”
“Well, Na, she’s kind of heavy for me. And we can’t have Shin carry her, can we? We asked to come along with him, we’re going to cause him trouble by carrying Angie, too?” Hearing her explaining the reasons like that, the brother got no words to argue more.
Finally, Wisana rolled his eyes giving up, helplessly continuing to carry the kid and wondering how his rival could be sleeping so soundly like this.
Speaking of it, she tended to be nice and obedient to him only when she was sleeping, huh?
“How far are we until we get to the Ouroboros’s lair?” He asked.
“From what the map says, it’s around 20 kilometers. I think we’ll get there by evening.” Waree said as she unfolded the map to check. Another tall man next to her glanced at it for a second, before his emotionless face flashed a trace of worries again.
“Be careful.” The deep voice said softly. “We’ve just kept walking. Do you realize that we’re in the red zone, now?”
The warning made the brother and sister pause, realizing that the monsters around got fewer. And the surroundings started turning dry and lifeless, as well as the weather that got colder little by little.
Until now, everyone had not realized that their breath was becoming white smoke.
“The air’s getting colder,” Wisana said.
“The colder it gets, the closer we are to the black area. So, be more careful when you...” He did not finish the sentence, the black-haired man paused there. Shindanai put his palms together, causing flashes of electricity to run through his hands. Then he placed his hands on the ground to change the earth element into a long brown spear in the blink of an eye.
The one who witnessed his ability for the first time gasped out of shock.
“What are you doing?!” Wisana resoundingly shouted, but the other did not reply. He managed to launch the spear in his hand past the handsome face of the one walking in the back by just a few inches. It was too close that made the older man jump.
GEEEZE!!
A second later there came a screech caught by his ears. When Wisana turned to look at it, he saw a huge insect in the shape of a mantis about to cut him with those sharp claws. But luckily, Shindanai pierced through its chest with the spear just in time.
“A Hunt Sector, huh?” The deep voice said plainly, while the green insect monster started fading away with the earth element spear.
Waree, who was watching, let out a sigh of relief, while Wisana was just blinking.
I survived without even knowing I was about to die!
“Hunt Sector is a stealth attack monster. Be careful. If you’re careless again, I’m not going to help you.”
The careless one nodded rapidly, walking to assemble with his saver immediately. Shindanai let out a sigh at his action, before glancing at the little kid who was sleeping soundly.
“And you stop pretending to be sleeping now. This guy has a hard life from being under-skilled already. He might actually die without even realizing it if he has to carry you around like this.”
“What are you talking about, shin?” Wisana asked out of confusion. But before he could get an answer from Shin, the tiny kid on his back slowly let go of her hands around his shoulders and let herself down to stand on the ground, just like that.
“Hey, Angie, you were pretending to sleep?!” The one who got fooled yelled out loudly.
“Too lazy to walk.” The very brief answer made the fool who had been carrying her all the way here blink, speechless. Finally, he could only watch as this witch ran to Waree, who was giving him a dry smile as an apology in return.
“Waree, good morning!” Angela greeted delightedly, without even caring about the man who was gasping behind her back at all.
“Hey, I’ve been tricked to carry that kid for many kilometers?!” When the shock was fading, his mouth started to function again.
“Sorry. I thought you already knew, so I didn’t say anything.” The cold man said, making Wisana mess with his hair, frustrated even more.
Damn, he really did not know what mood that kid was actually in. Did she like him, or hate him? Because normally, people would not want to be around the person they hated, would they?
Or was it because she hated him so much, so she tricked him into carrying her?!
I’m not a freaking traveling horse!!
“What’s your level, Vincent? I haven’t asked, yet.” He had just started cursing the kid in his mind before the other man next to him asked, getting his consciousness back to the present again.
“My level? Hold on, it’ll be a lot easier if I just show you.” Wisana said, before sending his player information window to the other.
The plain transparent blue screen clearly showed that he was a newbie. Especially after seeing level 40 and only the first-class achieved, the reader frowned, before glancing his deep violet eyes at the leader of the most famous guild again.
“Can I ask you something?”
“Sure.” He said smilingly.
“You’re really thinking of fighting Ouroboros with this tiny number of levels?”
“Don’t remind me!” Wisana yelled. And Shindanai just shook his head out of depression.
“Actually, your level is not the problem,” he said as he grabbed the man’s arm to look at the bracelet. “Your problem is your experience in the game, and your skill in using the Element. That’s all.”
Hearing that, Wisana’s eyebrows knitted together.
“Is it that important, the Element?” Shindanai did not answer the question right away. He just let out a hard sigh, before dragging Wisana’s information window to look again.
“Can you show me the Element’s information window, Vincent’s AI?”
“/Please wait a moment, sir./” Jinnie’s voice sounded stiff like she did not like being ordered by someone else other than Wisana. But this man was in the same party as her master, so she could not reject this kind of basic order.
It did not take long before a light grey window appeared.

After reading the information, the boys had different reactions to it. Wisana raised his eyebrows confusedly, while Shindanai frowned his eyebrows out of surprise.
“You said you didn’t know much about the Element and had never used it before, right?”
“Yeah, why?” Wisana asked.
“Weird...” Then he pointed his index finger at the screen. “You’ve unlocked two skills. If you didn’t know how to use it, then how could you unlock these skills?”
“Huh?” Seeing Wisana’s confused face, Shin’s eyebrows tightened even more.
“By the way, this window is...?” The one who had no idea decided to ask the simplest question first. The other one narrowed his eyes in consideration, before answering cautiously.
“It’s your Element’s information window.”
“Oh.” Wisana nodded. “Level two, huh? But I never used it, how could it get to level two?”
“That’s normal. Because key items have their own levels. The EXP that you earn from farming by killing monsters or completing quests, will be shared with the items. So, the Element got upgraded to level two, probably because it takes your EXP after you fight with monsters.”
“Share my EXP?” He repeated, then he realized that the reason his level was so slow to be upgraded was that his EXP was shared with the Element all the time.
Wait, no! ...right now, he was holding two key items.
He thought as he held up a hand to touch the neckband he was wearing right away.
The Darkness.
That was right. He also had another key item that he had not yet figured out how to use. So, it meant that right now, all his EXP was given two parts to the items?!
“Is anything wrong, Vincent?”
